God is trying to tell me in a different way: stay away from the darkness and live forever in the sunlight.

The final investigation results of the food poisoning incident were released three days later, revealing that the source of the poisonous food was a type of white mushroom supplied by a wild game restaurant.

The owner of the wild game restaurant said that wild mushrooms have been growing vigorously in the mountains recently, and villagers from nearby villages often go up the mountain to pick fresh mushrooms to sell at the market. He bought some himself once and found them to be very delicious. Moreover, he had heard that brightly colored mushrooms are poisonous, while pure white mushrooms like these are not.

He runs a wild game restaurant, and to attract more customers, he needs to regularly offer fresh wild vegetables. So, he bought white mushrooms from the villagers to serve his guests. Unexpectedly, problems arose on his very first attempt at making this dish.

Fortunately, he didn't know at the time whether the mushrooms would be popular with customers, so he didn't buy much and only made two portions for the conference group to try.

Fortunately, the members of this conference group were all medical professionals, so they requested to go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as symptoms appeared.

The doctor said the mushrooms the guests ate were relatively mildly toxic, classified as gastrointestinal poisoning. Symptoms included vomiting and diarrhea, which could be treated with methods such as inducing vomiting and gastric lavage to remove the toxins. If other, more toxic mushrooms were eaten, hallucinations or mental confusion could occur, and the toxins could damage organs such as the liver and kidneys, leading to a very high mortality rate.

Following the release of the CDC's food poisoning investigation report and the police's administrative detention of the person in charge of the wild game restaurant, Platinum Hotel posted new content on its official account:

"Thank you all for your concern and encouragement for Platinum Hotels. Food safety has always been a top priority for Platinum Hotels. The safety and health of our guests is the greatest wish of every Platinum Hotel employee."

In response to the issues exposed by this incident, Platinum Hotels will learn from it. We will strengthen supervision, strictly control food sources, and ensure that every food item meets quality and safety standards to create a safe and hygienic dining environment for our guests.

Afterwards, Platinum Hotel also created a comic strip titled "How to Identify Poisonous Mushrooms," which used a lighthearted and fun approach to show netizens which mushrooms are poisonous and to remind them not to pick wild mushrooms indiscriminately in the mountains.

This incident was followed up by numerous media reports, which not only cleared the Platinum Hotel of any wrongdoing, but also garnered praise from the public for the professionalism and sincerity it demonstrated in handling the food poisoning incident. Guests who received medical treatment for the poisoning also expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the service provided by Platinum Hotel during interviews with reporters.

Whether it's the switchboard receiving a call from a guest reporting discomfort and immediately having an emergency response team in place; the general manager personally accompanying the guest to the hospital and staying by their side overnight; or the Platinum Hotel's humanitarian assistance in paying for the guest's medical expenses even after proving their innocence—all these can be considered exemplary models for handling emergencies in the hotel industry.

After the crisis management was over, Song Yunxi took a day off and did nothing but sleep in her room all day.

That evening, when Mu Chen came to her room after get off work, he saw her with her hands outstretched, exploring the obstacles in front of her, her feet moving slowly across the floor.

Mu Chen suddenly smiled, and he actually looked kind of cute.

He closed the door, didn't turn on the light, strode over and stood in front of her. When her hand touched his chest, he took her hand in his own.

Song Yunxi smiled, leaned against his chest as if guided by instinct, and wrapped her arms around his waist.

Mu Chen asked, "Why aren't the lights on?"

Song Yunxi said matter-of-factly yet coquettishly, "It was still daytime when I went to sleep, so I forgot to put the light remote control on the bedside table."

Mu Chen kissed her on the cheek, then picked her up and carried her to the sofa.

The moonlight and lamplight from outside shone in through the window, and most people could see things in the room even in the dim light, but Song Yunxi couldn't see anything.

When did you start having trouble seeing at night?

"I've had trouble seeing since I was a child."

Have you been to the hospital?

"I went to the doctor, but the doctor said it wasn't night blindness and couldn't pinpoint the exact cause. Anyway, it doesn't affect my daily life; it's perfectly normal to not be able to see clearly in the dark."

Perhaps, God is trying to tell me in a different way: stay away from the darkness and live forever in the sunlight.

Mu Chen said, "Okay. Live in the sunlight."

"By the way, I'm thinking of moving back home tomorrow."

Ever since her water pipe burst, Mu Chen had someone hire a renovation company to replace the flooring, water pipes, faucets, and other fixtures. She could have moved back a while ago, but she'd been too busy. Now that things were settled, it was time to go home.

"So fast?"

Song Yunxi laughed and said, "If we don't move back soon, I'm afraid our affair will be exposed."

No secret can stay hidden forever. Mu Chen's nightly visits to her room have probably been seen by others long ago. Now that the shareholders are making things difficult, she doesn't know how to deal with them. She's really shot herself in the foot.

Mu Chen laughed too, "We're dating openly and honestly, so why do you always make it sound like we're having an affair?"

“Where is the uprightness? It’s clearly all dark right now.” Song Yunxi said, tilting her head up to kiss Mu Chen.

Humans are such amazing creatures; even though they can't see, they can still manage to get close to the right spot.

The next evening, Mu Chen returned to the hotel to help Song Yunxi move as agreed the day before, but he saw her pulling and tugging at a man at the hotel entrance from afar.

The security guard stepped forward to stop him and pulled the man away. Song Yunxi then turned around and ran quickly onto the road.

Mu Chen glanced at the people at the hotel entrance, then turned to chase after Song Yunxi.

Song Yunxi turned onto another road. Perhaps knowing that the man hadn't followed, she slowed her pace and walked forward without revealing her destination. Mu Chen kept a distance of two or three meters from her, walking slowly alongside her.

As she passed a restaurant, Song Yoon-hee glanced at the sign with Korean characters, then turned and went inside.

The waiter was probably startled by her tearful appearance and didn't know how to approach her. Only when he saw Mu Chen enter after her did he ask, "Did you two come together?"

Mu Chen replied, "Yes."

Song Yunxi turned around when she heard the familiar voice, and when she saw Mu Chen, she burst into tears and threw herself into his arms, as if she had suffered a great injustice.

Mu Chen gently patted her back and said softly, "It's okay. I'm here."

The waiter seemed a little flustered, so Mu Chen put his arm around Song Yunxi and told the waiter, "Give us a private room."

Then, he led Song Yunxi into a small private room with a four-person table, guided by the waiter, and sat down next to her to wipe away her tears.

Song Yunxi looked up at the waiter standing at the door, "I want spicy beef soup..."

Even as she cried, her voice trembling, she still managed to order food.

Mu Chen said, "I'd like spicy beef soup. Could you order the rest for me?"

"Okay. Please wait a moment." After hearing Mu Chen's words, the waiter quickly closed the door for them and left as if fleeing.

Mu Chen took out a tissue to wipe her tears, and Song Yunxi turned her head, reached out and hugged his neck, and cried on his shoulder, wiping her tears directly with his shirt.

Mu Chen put down the tissue, picked her up from the chair, and let her sit on his lap, making it easier for her to hug his neck and cry.

The waiter knocked on the door and came in to serve the food. The two people who had occupied the four-person private room were using only one seat to save space.

Whether it was the aroma of the delicious food or the exhaustion from crying, Song Yunxi sat back down in her chair, sobbing, after the dishes were all laid out on the table, ready to eat.

Just as the waitress was about to turn and leave, Song Yunxi called out to her from behind: "Two more bottles of rice wine, please."

"Okay. Please wait a moment." The waiter responded and quickly left the troublesome place, then soon brought in the rice wine.

Song Yunxi poured herself a full glass of wine, and Mu Chen didn't stop her. She could eat and drink as she pleased.

She downed the rice wine in her cup in one gulp, and while scooping soup with a spoon, she said, "My mother's spicy beef soup was really delicious, but unfortunately I can never taste that flavor again."

“Your mother is watching over you from heaven. She would hope that even if you don’t have spicy beef soup, you can find something better than spicy beef soup.”

"Will we meet?" Song Yunxi poured herself another glass of wine and drank it. "Yes, we will. You're better than spicy beef soup."

Even though Song Yunxi tried to cultivate her alcohol tolerance by drinking red wine every night, it still didn't improve much. After drinking two bottles of rice wine, she was already completely drunk.

Mu Chen helped her out of the restaurant and took a taxi to bring her home.

Song Yunxi was so drunk that going to the Platinum Hotel was out of the question; if the staff saw her, her image would be completely ruined. He couldn't go to any other hotel either; taking a drunk woman to a hotel late at night, whether or not they were recognized, wouldn't look good. And since he didn't have a key to Song Yunxi's house, the best option was to go to her place, which would be more convenient for him to take care of her.

Mu Chen carried Song Yunxi from the elevator into his home, and then carried her to his bed. Song Yunxi's arms around his neck remained tightly wrapped around his neck.

"Mu Chen, how come you're so handsome? I like you so much." Song Yunxi said, tilting her head up to kiss Mu Chen.

Mu Chen did not refuse her kiss. He covered her body, gently pried open her lips and teeth, and kissed her deeply.

Song Yunxi reached out and tugged at Mu Chen's shirt. Although her technique was haphazard, she managed to pull the hem out of his shirt, which was tucked into his belt. Then, her warm hand slipped through the gap and touched his lower abdomen.

Mu Chen's body suddenly tensed up, and it seemed as if only his heavy breathing could be heard in the room.

"Mu Chen, I'm ready." Song Yunxi squinted at him, speaking softly and weakly, yet it sounded like a spell.

Mu Chen understood what Song Yunxi meant by "ready." But she was drunk, and what she said might have been drunken ramblings.

He grabbed her hand that was groping his lower abdomen, then slowly lifted his body off her. He rolled off the bed, covered her with the blanket, and then kissed her forehead.

"Tell me again tomorrow when you're sober and still feel ready, okay?"
