He wanted to be in a relationship, and he wanted to be in a serious relationship with Lin Xiaoran.

He wanted to be in a relationship, and he wanted to be in a serious relationship with Lin Xiaoran.

Lin Xiaoran stood by the table, quietly waiting for Wan Wei to finish a deep French kiss with the girl he called Lingling.

It wasn't until Wan Wei opened his eyes that he followed the gazes of everyone at the table to Lin Xiaoran and Jiang Hailang, who were staring intently at him.

Wan Wei clearly hadn't expected things to turn out this way, because Lin Xiaoran had said that their family rule was that any celebrations for important events had to be held at home. That's why Wan Wei dared to bring Lingling and her friends to the restaurant where he had previously dined with Lin Xiaoran.

Lin Xiaoran said calmly, "Explain."

"Um, Xiaoran..."

Wan Wei quickly stood up and went to stand in front of Lin Xiaoran, but before he could think of an excuse, Lingling also stood up from her seat. "Who are you?"

Lin Xiaoran retorted, "Then who are you?"

"I am his girlfriend."

Lin Xiaoran smiled. "What a coincidence, me too."

A few seconds of silence followed. After a moment, Lingling turned and took Wanwei's arm. "Wanwei~"

Her tone was extremely coquettish, giving even seasoned romantics like Jiang Hailang goosebumps.

Lin Xiaoran glared at Wan Wei: "You told me you had a business trip, but your job is to kiss other women? Anyone who didn't know better would think you'd become a gigolo."

Lingling immediately retorted, "Don't go too far with your words."

"Is that going too far? If I were going too far, I wouldn't just talk to him, I would just throw a glass of wine at him."

Lin Xiaoran's words worked as expected, and everyone at the table quickly pulled the cups in front of them into their laps.

Wan Wei stepped forward, trying to calm things down: "Xiao Ran, stop making a scene. There are so many people in the restaurant watching; it's going to be a bad influence."

“If you had known it would have such a bad influence, you wouldn’t have been two-timing. No, maybe not even two.” Lin Xiaoran said, glancing at Lingling. “Wanwei, I won’t force you to choose between me and her. As long as you can give me a satisfactory explanation, I will never make a fuss again.”

Wan Wei stood there staring at Lin Xiaoran, remaining silent for several seconds before speaking as if he had made up his mind: "You don't love me at all. You only agreed to be my girlfriend because I pursued you, and you just happened to be single, so you wanted to give it a try, right?"

Seeing Lin Xiaoran's expression, Wan Wei knew he had guessed correctly. Lin Xiaoran was so calm when she saw him with another woman; she didn't even have the thought of fighting for him like Lingling did.

All she wanted was an explanation, to know why she had been cheated on. As for him, she didn't care at all.

During their time together, he couldn't even kiss her; the most intimate thing they did was hold hands while shopping. And while she was shopping, she was buying gifts for other men.

But Lingling was different. She would act coquettishly towards him, kiss and hug him, and even take the initiative to invite him to a hotel room.

"You're saying I'm two-timing?" Wan Wei chuckled. "How clean can you be? You're with me, but you're still thinking about other men. You bought that other guy some cheap cufflinks that cost over ten thousand yuan. Who knows what kind of disgusting things are going on between you two..."

Before Wan Wei could finish speaking, the wild man standing to the side punched him.

With a scream from Lingling, blood seeped from the corner of Wanwei's mouth.

He wiped his mouth and yelled at Jiang Hailang, "Who the hell are you?"

Jiang Hailang pointed at Wan Wei, his eyes filled with a ruthlessness Lin Xiaoran had never seen before. "If you dare say another word to her, I'll cripple you."

"Holy crap!"

Wan Wei shouted and was about to step forward to fight back, while Jiang Hailang was also clenching his fist in preparation for the battle, but Lin Xiaoran grabbed him.

"He's my boyfriend, what right do you have to hit him?"

Jiang Hailang's fist, which had been clenched in anger, suddenly lost its strength. His fingers slowly relaxed, and his gaze fell on Lin Xiaoran, wounded and dim.

Wan Wei's expression softened somewhat; he felt that Lin Xiaoran was ultimately on his side when things went wrong.

To everyone's surprise, while Wan Wei was still dreaming that he would have a chance to win Lin Xiaoran back, he heard her say, "If anyone's going to beat someone up, it'll be me."

Before she could finish speaking, Lin Xiaoran had already slapped Wan Wei across the face. "You're the one who's a bastard!"

The reversal was so sudden that everyone was stunned.

Lin Xiaoran turned around, grabbed Jiang Hailang's hand, and ran outside, shouting at the restaurant manager who came forward to mediate, "Get them to pay the bill, don't let them get away."

Wan Wei and two friends followed behind, while Lingling and several other girls were stopped inside the restaurant.

After chasing Lin Xiaoran and Jiang Hailang for a while, the group stopped and shouted threats at their retreating figures, "You just wait!"

Lin Xiaoran looked back and burst into laughter, and Jiang Hailang laughed along. The two held hands and ran happily for a while longer, until they were sure no one was chasing them before they stopped.

Lin Xiaoran bent down and leaned against a half-person-high stone platform by the roadside, taking a deep breath. "I can't go on."

Jiang Hailang reached out and gently patted Lin Xiaoran's back to help her catch her breath. "I never expected my baby to be so amazing."

After a while, Lin Xiaoran finally regained her normal breathing. She looked at Jiang Hailang; he had also run that far, but he didn't seem as exhausted as she was.

It seems that exercising in bed is also a good form of exercise.

Jiang Hailang smiled as if he could read her mind. "I work out regularly, so my stamina is pretty good."

Lin Xiaoran said, "I'm thirsty."

Jiang Hailang turned his head and looked around. There was a convenience store right across the street.

"Wait a minute, I'll go buy you some water." After he finished speaking, he picked up Lin Xiaoran and helped her sit on the stone platform.

Jiang Hailang not only bought water, but also the potato chips that Lin Xiaoran liked. Lin Xiaoran sat on the stone platform, swinging her legs back and forth, waiting for Jiang Hailang to help her tear open the potato chip bag.

Jiang Hailang handed her the potato chips, while he placed his hands on the stone platform on either side of her, leaned forward, and wrapped his arms around her.

Lin Xiaoran popped a potato chip into her own mouth, then took another one and put it into Jiang Hailang's mouth. She assumed Jiang Hailang wanted some because he always did this when he asked to be fed.

Jiang Hailang chewed on his potato chips and asked her somewhat vaguely, "Will you date me?"

Originally, he was afraid that his love for Lin Xiaoran would not last, so he didn't dare to pursue her and just wanted to watch her and stay with her.

But later, he realized that he wanted more than that. He didn't want Lin Xiaoran to be with other men; he would be insanely jealous.

Before, he could hide his anger and jealousy, and he could vent his frustrations in bed with other women. But later, he couldn't do that anymore; he even lost interest in dating other women.

He just wanted to be with Lin Xiaoran, even if it was just to be in the same space with her quietly.

He wanted to be in a relationship, and he wanted to be in a serious relationship with Lin Xiaoran.

Lin Xiaoran refused without hesitation: "No talk."

"Why?"

"You're a senior executive, don't you know that the hotel has a rule that employees can't date each other?"

“We can keep it from our hotel colleagues like President Mu and Song Yunxi did. Or if you want it to be public, I’ll resign tomorrow.”

"You know I'm the type to attract jerks; both of my ex-boyfriends were troublesome. I couldn't even stand their awfulness, let alone someone like you. How strong would my heart have to be to handle that?"

As Lin Xiaoran spoke, she continued to stuff potato chips into her mouth. It was as if Jiang Hailang wasn't confessing his feelings to her, but rather they were just gossiping about something trivial.

"As it turns out, seemingly good men might be secretly scumbags. But those scumbags who seem obvious at first glance might only be scumbags on the surface, and could surprise you in the end?"

Although it's a sophistry, it sounds somewhat reasonable.

"Then let's not talk about it." Lin Xiaoran's gaze swept across Jiang Hailang's face without much focus, then she looked down at the buttons on his chest. "I've never done 'that' before. If I'm dating you, does that mean I have to?"

She had two boyfriends before. Yan Chao was her first love, and they only shared two not-so-deep kisses when things got intense. Wan Wei, on the other hand, she only held hands with him.

She believes sex is a basic human need, like eating and drinking, and that mutual attraction between a man and a woman is sufficient for sexual intercourse. Therefore, she can understand Jiang Hailang's womanizing behavior, since all the girls he's with are consensual. But she can't do the same for herself; she's not ready to engage in sexual activity with someone else.

Jiang Hailang said, "If you don't want to do it, then don't. I want to date you, not be your friends with benefits."

Lin Xiaoran hugged the bag of potato chips, crumpling it with both hands until it made a rustling sound.

Jiang Hailang moved forward again, squeezing between Lin Xiaoran's knees so that her thighs could wrap around his waist, while he wrapped his arms around her waist.

He coaxed her softly, his voice tinged with a hint of coquetry, "Let's talk, okay?"

Lin Xiaoran looked at his eyes and inexplicably felt that they were somewhat similar to the puppy she had when she was a child. When she didn't give the puppy treats, it would look at her with those same eyes.

Lin Xiaoran said, "I'll think about it."

Jiang Hailang smiled, bent down and quickly kissed Lin Xiaoran on the lips.

Lin Xiaoran slapped Jiang Hailang's arm. "You dare to take advantage of me?"

Jiang Hailang laughed heartily, hugging Lin Xiaoran even tighter and burying his head in her neck. "Baby, how long do you need to think about it?"

I don’t know when it started, but Jiang Hailang’s way of addressing Lin Xiaoran changed from “Bo Bo” to “Baby”.

Lin Xiaoran was too lazy to correct him. Anyway, whatever he called her sounded greasy, so she let him do as he pleased.

"I don't know either, let's see how you do," Lin Xiaoran said, stuffing another potato chip into Jiang Hailang's mouth.

Jiang Hailang lifted his head from Lin Xiaoran's shoulder, staring at her intently for a long time. Finally, he leaned forward again and kissed Lin Xiaoran's lips.

This time, however, he didn't just give it a quick, fleeting kiss; instead, he kissed her deeply and earnestly.

Lin Xiaoran struggled to push him away, but after patting him twice, she suddenly didn't want to refuse anymore.

It has to be said that Jiang Hailang has truly mastered superb skills after being trained by numerous women; even his kisses are irresistible.

His lips were so soft, so gentle. Their lips pressed tightly together, bringing her unparalleled comfort and pleasure.

Lin Xiaoran felt a surge of heat flowing through her body, joyful and passionate, making her want to open herself up and welcome his kiss.

So, after a deep kiss, as Jiang Hailang, slightly out of breath, looked into Lin Xiaoran's eyes, Lin Xiaoran's gaze shifted to Jiang Hailang's lips, moist and red from the kiss. The next second, she reached out and wrapped her arms around Jiang Hailang's neck, taking the initiative to kiss his lips.

Jiang Hailang was only stunned for a moment before he was encouraged and used the tip of his tongue to pry open her lips and teeth.
