Chapter 29 She Has Me in Her Heart
It was 4 a.m. in 2013.
After Liu Zhuangzhuang asked, "Are you crying?", a ray of moonlight illuminated Hua Yu's face.
His eyes were beautiful and sharp, with clear black and white, and dry.
"Why should I cry?" he asked back.
Liu Zhuangzhuang heard that his tone was normal and breathed a sigh of relief: "It's good that you didn't cry."
Hua Yu thought he was crazy, that he would actually shed tears for a married suitor.
Oh, she wasn't exactly a suitor, just someone who was somewhat interested in him... a bored person.
She's already married, but she keeps flirting with him, saying things like, "Come have dinner with me," as if having dinner with him is such an important thing, as if he's such an important person.
Despite being so much older than him, he didn't act like an adult at all. He was like a child who couldn't distinguish right from wrong, and he treated him like a stray dog without any sense of propriety.
Hua Yu felt increasingly bored and closed her eyes in a huff: "I'm not talking anymore, go to sleep."
"I want to go to the kitchen to get something to eat."
"No." Hua Yu interrupted him before he could finish speaking.
Liu Zhuangzhuang: "I haven't finished speaking yet!"
“You’re not allowed to go to the kitchen,” Hua Yu glanced at him. “The soundproofing isn’t good; you’ll wake her up.”
Liu Zhuangzhuang remained silent for a long time before turning away in frustration.
Just before entering the house, he stopped and asked Hua Yu again, "You really don't like Sister Yun?"
In the darkness, Hua Yu's figure moved slightly, and after a long pause, she said, "I don't like it."
"But I think Sister Yun likes you, really likes you." Liu Zhuangzhuang scratched his head, feeling his conscience and his bias fighting each other.
After a long struggle, favoritism ultimately prevailed over conscience.
“We’ve known her for so long, and we’ve never met her husband, nor have we ever seen him call her. It’s clear their relationship isn’t that good. If you like her too, I think you should try to win her over, after all…”
Liu Zhuangzhuang took a deep breath and uttered his famous saying: "In a relationship, the one who isn't loved is the mistress." (This represents only his personal opinion.)
"...You want me to compete with her husband?" Hua Yu asked in a strange tone.
Liu Zhuangzhuang no longer cared about worldly morality; he just wanted to cheer on his good brother: "You can do it! If all else fails, I'll help you come up with ideas. As long as you swing the hoe well, no wall is too tough to dig down!"
Hua Yu: "...You're really crazy."
It's 4 a.m. in 2025, the same time.
Liu Zhuang asked, "Hua Cheng, are you crying?"
Hua Cheng remained silent for a while, then said, "I didn't cry, I just felt sad inside."
After he finished speaking, he made some rustling sounds in the darkness.
The moon had already hidden behind the clouds, making the living room even darker. Liu Zhuang couldn't see his expression clearly, but he knew that the man was looking at him.
“I’m sorry for calling you over at this hour, Fatty,” Hua Cheng said, sitting on the sofa with his knees drawn up to his chest. “But I’m about to go crazy. I really want to talk to someone.”
He used to be alone and was very good at processing his emotions on his own. Later, he met Liu Zhuang, his sister-in-law, Yun Jin, and all sorts of friends. He developed his own social circle and gradually learned to share his joys and sorrows. However, some of his abilities actually deteriorated.
If he were younger, when Liu Zhuang asked him if he was crying, he would definitely ask me why he should cry, and then pretend to be indifferent, even if his heart was churning, his face would remain calm.
"At this time, you're the only one I can contact," Hua Cheng sighed softly, filled with melancholy.
He has really lost a lot of weight recently. His 1.9-meter height makes him look thin and weak when he sits curled up on the sofa.
The moon peeked out from behind the clouds, and the living room was bright again. Looking at him like this, Liu Zhuang thought for a moment that he was about to disappear.
"Nonsense!" Liu Zhuang strode towards him, and seeing his reddened eyes, he pulled him close. "Brother Pang is your only brother. If you don't go to Brother Pang, who else will you go to?"
Hua Cheng leaned against him, saying, "You came out without disturbing your sister-in-law and Bei Bei, didn't you?"
"No, they're sleeping soundly," Liu Zhuang replied, without mentioning that Chen Yueqin had been woken up by him. Upon hearing that Hua Cheng had something to do, she immediately wanted to come along, but after being refused, she went to sit in the living room and was probably still waiting for news.
Upon hearing this, Hua Cheng silently breathed a sigh of relief.
The two brothers chatted for another two minutes before Liu Zhuang, ignoring Hua Cheng's protests, forcibly took him back to his room.
Hua Cheng didn't want to sleep, and felt that he couldn't possibly fall asleep. Unfortunately, even though his soul refused to give in, his body, which was getting weaker day by day, finally couldn't resist the exhaustion and fell into a deep sleep.
Liu Zhuang stood by the bedside until he was completely asleep before tiptoeing out.
Close the door and call Yun Jin immediately.
My phone kept ringing with a busy tone, and after about ten rings, I hung up on my own.
I called five times, but no one answered.
Liu Zhuang stood for a moment, then gently pushed open the door again.
Hua Cheng slept peacefully without having any nightmares, and he probably won't wake up again.
Thinking of his wife who was still waiting for news, he sighed and went home.
Hua Cheng woke up with a start after sleeping for less than three hours. When he opened his eyes, he subconsciously looked at the seat next to him.
Nobody's here.
The heart gradually stopped beating, the blood slowly congealed, and the person seemed to die, but the brain continued to ache.
With both the body and soul so fragile, it's no wonder that the diseased parts are still thriving and vigorous, and that humans always find it so difficult to defeat cancer cells.
Hua Cheng sat on the bed in a daze for a while, then took out two targeted drugs and ate them.
Hua Cheng only took five minutes to wash up. After coming out of the bathroom, he turned a corner and was about to go to the dressing room when he suddenly heard a slight noise outside the bedroom.
He stopped abruptly, realized what was happening, and hurriedly ran outside.
As you walk down the stairs, before you even see Yun Jin, you can smell the aroma of food.
He quickly went downstairs, crossed the living room, and appeared at the dining table.
The food that went cold last night is now steaming hot on the table.
Hua Cheng's breathing slowed, and he stared blankly at the kitchen doorway.
Wearing an apron and thick heat-resistant gloves, Yun Jin walked out of the kitchen carrying a plate of garlic shrimp balls.
The two looked at each other, and Yun Jin calmly gestured, "Come and eat."
Hua Cheng gave a brief, cheerful laugh. A few seconds later, he couldn't hold back any longer. His expression changed dramatically, and a sense of grievance welled up from the corners of his eyes and brows, threatening to engulf the entire house.
Yun Jin placed the garlic shrimp balls on the table and was about to turn around and call him again when a huge impact suddenly slammed into her back.
Her body swayed as she was pulled tightly into a pair of strong arms. Yun Jin looked down and could see the marks on his wrists where he had been bound with rope.
The thin ring, blending seamlessly into her skin, is a consequence of wrapping it too tightly.
She reached out and grasped it; the squeezing brought a stinging pain that reached her heart. Hua Cheng took a shallow breath and finally felt alive again.
Hua Cheng hugged her tighter, his voice muffled: "Where did you go? Why did it take you so long to come back?"
“I went to find Lan Li,” Yun Jin said, revealing the answer she had prepared beforehand. “She accidentally drank some rice wine and slept until seven in the morning.”
Hearing her explanation, Hua Cheng released her and turned her to face him.
"Really?" he asked.
Yun Jin hummed in agreement.
Hua Cheng tried to find a trace of lying in her eyes, but she was too calm, like a still pond, perfectly disguised as a mirror.
After a long pause, he asked, seemingly casually, "She didn't go home yesterday for the Mid-Autumn Festival."
"I went back, that's why I was feeling down and asked him to drink with me," Yun Jin explained.
Lan Li had a stellar career in the first half of her life, but now she suddenly seems to be lying down and not caring about the consequences, which greatly displeases her family. They criticize her without exception on every family reunion day.
Hua Cheng met her gaze quietly, the storm turning into a gloomy one: "Okay."
Yun Jin noticed his dark circles and asked, "Were you getting impatient?"
When she returned to 2025, the first thing she did was check her phone in that timeline, and sure enough, she saw a bunch of missed calls.
There was still Fatty at four in the morning.
Hua Cheng was still observing her features, his tone unwavering: "I'm worried because you're not answering the phone."
"I was so busy chatting with Lan Li that I fell into a deep sleep and didn't answer your call," Yun Jin said.
Hua Cheng pursed his lips: "Don't do that next time. You know I don't ask much of you. Just replying with '1' is enough. At least let me... let me know that you're safe."
Yun Jin didn't nod in agreement, but only said she would try her best. After all, once she went to 2013, she would be out of contact in 2025, and she couldn't guarantee that she could reply to his messages at any time.
Things that cannot be guaranteed should not be agreed to.
Hua Cheng sensed her ambiguity and felt a mix of emotions. He simply asked softly, "You really drank rice wine?"
Yun Jin stood on tiptoe and gently breathed on him: "Smell it."
She came back as soon as she woke up, and started heating up the food as soon as she entered the door. She's still wearing yesterday's clothes, let alone washing up.
The night had passed, and the smell of alcohol on her breath should have been quite unpleasant, but Hua Cheng didn't mind and actually sniffed it carefully.
He's in his thirties, but sometimes he still acts like a puppy.
Knowing she shouldn't, a smile still crept into Yun Jin's eyes.
Seeing her expression, Hua Cheng put on a stern face: "How could you drink rice wine? Are you dizzy?"
“I’m not dizzy,” Yun Jin answered the question first, then corrected herself, “I drank it by mistake.”
If she had known there was rice wine in it, she would never have drunk it.
Hua Cheng pursed his lips, still trying to appear serious.
Yun Jin took the initiative to put her arm around his waist and asked, "Did you wait for me all night?"
She should have kept quiet; once she asked, Hua Cheng felt as if she had returned to the dark, sticky night of the previous day.
But he just smiled and said, "No, I fell asleep at ten o'clock."
Yun Jin knew he was lying, but she didn't call him out on it. She took his hand and led him to sit down.
Hua Cheng knew what she was thinking and immediately stopped her: "It's all leftovers, let's go out to eat."
“I just tasted it, it’s not bad,” Yun Jin said.
Hua Cheng frowned slightly, seemingly disagreeing, but Yun Jin had already made her decision, so he could only sit down at the table.
Seeing that he was obedient, Yun Jin went upstairs to wash up.
Hua Cheng sat quietly by himself for a while, then took out his phone and casually browsed his WeChat Moments. He saw that Lan Li had posted a message half an hour earlier: "Thank you, President Yun, for your company last night @Yun Jin".
Below the text is a photo of two wine glasses.
This serves as strong evidence that what Yun Jin just said is true.
Hua Cheng's weather turned from overcast to partly cloudy. He caught a glimpse of Yun Jin coming downstairs out of the corner of his eye, so he put down his phone and looked over from a distance.
Their eyes met, and they both fell silent.
Yun Jin knew her lie was clumsy and she didn't expect to fool him perfectly, but even if she couldn't dispel all his suspicions, she didn't intend to tell the truth.
She knew him too well; once he knew the secret of the watch, he would guess the purpose of her coming and going, thus giving rise to countless unfounded worries.
For example, will there be radiation? Will it affect her health? Will it bring bad karmic retribution upon her?
The more I think, the more I worry. When my worries reach a certain limit, I will definitely have my eye on her watch. Maybe one day I will take advantage of her when she is not paying attention, put it on myself and go to 2013, and do everything I can to convince my younger self not to get hurt.
However, in his youth, he was unyielding and not the type to be easily persuaded.
If the two were to meet, it might be a clash of titans, with either one likely to die.
So we have no choice but to keep it a secret.
But thankfully, it's almost over.
She pieced together the first twenty years of his life that she had missed from his and Fatty's accounts, and then personally experienced his entire life after he turned twenty-one. She knew clearly that although he had suffered a lot in his life, he had not suffered too much physical harm.
Except for the year I was twenty.
That year, he was first injured in a bar fight. Before his wounds had fully healed, he was tricked and forced to drink, then kidnapped and forced to jump into the river. Later, he was found by debt collectors, and in a moment of impulsiveness, he fought desperately, suffering another severe head injury.
Too young and too poor, barely able to afford food, how could he afford to properly recover from his injury? As a result, he quietly developed a headache as a sequela, but because it wasn't serious, he didn't pay much attention to it until he was 31 years old and the pain caused him to faint. Only after a thorough examination did he discover a large shadow on his brain.
As things stand, the damage from the first two incidents has been completely resolved, and she has successfully gotten Hua Yu out of that troublesome bar, giving him a stable life.
Now all she needs to do is find those debt collectors. Whether she offers them money or threatens them, as long as she can sever their connection with Hua Yu, she can take off her watch and retire gracefully, no longer having to run between the two sides.
This secret can also be buried forever in the grave.
Yun Jin was lost in thought. She glanced at Hua Cheng one last time, offered no explanation, and sat down again.
He picked up his chopsticks, took a bite of the chestnut and chicken stir-fry, and said, "It's delicious."
A smile appeared in Hua Cheng's eyes as he accompanied her to the belated reunion dinner.
The food had been left out overnight and didn't taste as good as before, but Yun Jin ate a lot.
When she went to get her second bowl of rice, Hua Cheng couldn't help but ask, "Didn't you eat enough last night?"
Having spent so many years together, he has taken care of all her needs, from food and clothing to housing and transportation. He knows better than she does what she likes to eat and how much she can eat.
Her current appetite is clearly due to being overly hungry.
In response to his question, Yun Jin nodded: "Yes, I was thinking of having dinner with you when I got back, so I didn't eat anything while I was out."
This is true.
Even the darkest, most gloomy night was shattered by her words. Hua Cheng's cloudy mood cleared up, and she took the initiative to serve her rice: "Then eat more."
"Okay," Yun Jin replied, and then began to eat diligently again.
Seeing that she had such a good appetite, Hua Cheng's own appetite also improved. The two ate in silence, managing to finish almost all the dishes on the table. Finally, they sat up and looked at each other speechlessly, holding their stomachs.
After a long pause, Yun Jin said, "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival."
Hua Cheng smiled, his eyes crinkling: "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival."
At 9:30 a.m., Yun Jin went to work, while Hua Cheng stayed home to wash the dishes.
Before the dishes were even washed, Liu Zhuang rushed into the living room, shouting Hua Cheng's name.
Hua Cheng ran out, his hands covered in foam: "Why didn't you knock? That's so rude!"
Liu Zhuang held up his phone, eager to share some information with him, but his thoughts were diverted by his question: "I didn't knock when I came over in the early hours of the morning, why didn't you say I was rude then?"
Hua Cheng paused, then realized he had a point, and questioned again, "Why didn't you knock at dawn or now? Did I give you permission to enter the password? That's so rude."
Liu Zhuang was speechless, but really wanted to beat him up.
Hua Cheng quickly changed the subject: "What do you want from me?"
As expected, Liu Zhuang took the bait when he asked him, and excitedly ran up to him with his phone in hand: "Did you see Lan Li's post on WeChat Moments? I just asked her and found out that Yun Jin was at her place last night. She accidentally drank some rice wine and fell asleep, which is why she didn't come back all night."
At this point, he laughed heartily three times and then punched Hua Cheng.
"You little rascal, you're being petty!"
Hua Cheng staggered back two steps after being punched, gave a nonchalant "oh," and turned back to the kitchen to continue washing the dishes.
"What do you mean 'oh'? Didn't you hear what I just said?" Liu Zhuang chased after her into the kitchen, unwilling to give up. "You, Hua Cheng, have misunderstood my sister!"
"You actually believed that?" Hua Cheng lowered his eyes and turned on the tap, instantly filling the spacious and bright kitchen with the sound of water.
Liu Zhuang was taken aback and asked, "What do you mean?"
“Lan Li has known Yun Jin for a long time longer than we have. Do you think she doesn’t know that Yun Jin is allergic to rice wine? Whenever she and Yun Jin are together, she doesn’t allow rice wine to be present within a ten-meter radius. How could she possibly let Yun Jin accidentally drink it? Besides…”
After washing the last dish, Hua Cheng rinsed the foam off his hands and turned off the tap.
Then he turned around and leaned against the kitchen counter, relaxing his legs and crossing them.
"Don't you think that post on her WeChat Moments was very deliberate? It was like she deliberately sent it to me to see." Hua Cheng looked up and met Liu Zhuang's gaze.
Liu Zhuang opened his mouth, but after a long pause, he managed to utter, "Aren't you making some malicious assumptions...?"
Hua Cheng narrowed his eyes: "When Yun Jin hadn't changed her clothes this morning, I not only smelled alcohol on her, but also the smell of a five-yuan packet of hot pot base. Do you think Lan Li would have such cheap hot pot base?"
"...How did you know it was five yuan a pack?"
Hua Cheng sneered: "I not only know it costs five yuan a pack, but I also know what brand it is, what flavor it has, and how much oil, ingredients, and additives it contains."
Liu Zhuang suddenly realized something: "Could it be..."
“It’s the one we used to eat all the time,” Hua Cheng said through gritted teeth.
Liu Zhuang opened his mouth, then closed it again.
After a long pause, he exclaimed, "Damn it!"
When they first started sharing an apartment, although their lives were gradually getting back on track, they didn't have much money. Occasionally, they would eat something nice, which meant buying a five-yuan pack of hot pot ingredients and cooking it at home.
By the time I met Yun Jin, life was much better than before. Although we would still buy a packet of hot pot ingredients to cook at home to improve our lives, we usually ate packets that cost more than ten yuan each.
They never even gave Yun Jin five yuan worth of hot pot ingredients, and now another little bastard is giving it to her?
First rotten fruit, then five yuan worth of hot pot ingredients, what will be next? Two cents worth of ice packs?
Liu Zhuang grew angrier the more he thought about it, and blurted out to Hua Cheng, "Where did this kid come from? Does he think he's one of those special, unpretentious, and pure white lotus heroines from TV dramas?!"
“He’s not some innocent white lotus,” Hua Cheng glanced at him and scoffed, “He even knows how to use yellow wine to preserve the brocade.”
Liu Zhuang: "Wow...this...that...how despicable!"
After saying that, he suddenly realized something was wrong.
"So you're certain that Yun Jin spent last night with that kid?" he asked.
Hua Cheng nodded.
Liu Zhuang stared at him for a few seconds, then asked in a puzzled tone, "Why do you look so unsad right now?"
Hua Cheng remained calm: "Yun Jin didn't eat at his place last night."
Liu Zhuang: "...So what?"
Hua Cheng: "She didn't eat at his place, which means she wanted to come back and be with me, but she was held back by his petty tricks. But no matter what, she chose me in her heart."
Liu Zhuang: "...And then?"
Hua Cheng curled his lips: "The new girl is nice, but in her eyes, I am the most important."
Liu Zhuang: "..."
Hua Cheng: "She even heated up the food early in the morning to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with me."
Liu Zhuang: "..."
Hua Cheng: "She tried so hard to lie, even dragging Lan Li into it to make me believe her, because she cared too much about my feelings."
Liu Zhuang: "..."
Seeing that he didn't understand, Hua Cheng sighed deeply: "Fatty, you'll understand when you get to my age. It's normal for a partner to stray occasionally, but as long as she has me in her heart, whether she's physically faithful or not isn't that important."
“…I was your age five years ago, so don’t give me that nonsense,” Liu Zhuang looked at him as if he were some monster. “You’re really insane.”
You can't talk about ice with a summer insect, so Hua Cheng didn't want to explain anymore and changed the subject: "But no matter what, we have to break them up."
Even a thousand-mile dike can be destroyed by an ant's bite. If this despicable person is not eliminated, the future he has carefully planned for Yun Jin may be ruined by him.
“I also think this person is not sincere, but Yun Jin went to see him during the Mid-Autumn Festival, which shows that he is important to her…” He was halfway through his sentence when he suddenly met Hua Cheng’s gaze, and he quickly added, “Of course, he is definitely not as good as yours.”
Hua Cheng nodded.
Liu Zhuang remained silent for a while, then continued, "Judging from the fact that all he can do is serve rotten fruit and leftover hot pot ingredients, his skills are actually quite low. This time, he actually knew to use yellow wine to keep people around, thereby indirectly provoking you. I suspect..."
"He now has a strategist."
The brothers were in perfect sync; as soon as Liu Zhuang finished speaking, Hua Cheng immediately followed with the second half of his sentence.
The two exchanged a glance, their expressions grave.
Liu Zhuang: "Now that the despicable man has another despicable man helping him, he's twice as despicable and very difficult to deal with."
Hua Cheng: "But evil can't defeat justice. If the two of us join forces, surely we can take them down?"
Liu Zhuang expressed his strong agreement.
After a long pause, Hua Cheng said, "Kill them all."
Liu Zhuang: "Yes, not a single one can be left alive."
After venting his frustrations, Liu Zhuang was actually at a loss about what lay ahead.
“We don’t even know who the other person is,” he said, looking distressed.
Hua Cheng raised an eyebrow slightly: "You'll find out soon enough."
"What do you mean?" Liu Zhuang asked, getting excited. "You hired a private investigator?"
"Of course not," Hua Cheng immediately denied.
There are no secrets that stay hidden forever. Once an outsider is invited to investigate, there is a risk that the secret will be leaked. Although he wanted that person dead, he was even more afraid that Yun Jin would be judged by others.
Simply put, his wife's infidelity is their family matter, and he didn't care, so others shouldn't gossip about it.
Liu Zhuang: "You're planning to investigate yourself?"
Hua Cheng: "Yes."
Liu Zhuang: "How do we investigate?"
Hua Cheng: "Let's start by checking Yun Jin's itinerary."
At the same time and place, in the CEO's office of Yuncheng Technology.
Yun Jin called out to Xiao Zhou, who was about to leave.
"Has Mr. Hua asked you for my schedule during this period?" she asked.
Xiao Zhou: "I asked once before I went to Tongxian, but not recently."
Yun Jin nodded: "I'll be going out frequently in the next few days, so please reorganize the schedule and make sure to leave me at least three hours free each day."
"Okay," Xiao Zhou nodded.
Yun Jin glanced at him: "But I can't let Hua Cheng know that I have no work scheduled for these three hours."
Xiao Zhou was stunned.
"Find a way to make him think I'm busy and can't answer the phone," Yun Jin tapped the table, giving the task to her assistant.
Xiao Zhou asked with a smile, "Are you preparing a surprise for President Hua?"
"I guess so," Yun Jin mumbled vaguely.
After thinking for a moment, Xiao Zhou said, "I'll mark these three hours as 'meeting'. Once President Hua sees this, he won't bother you anymore."
Yun Jin hummed in agreement and continued working.
In a high-end residential area, in a large villa.
Liu Zhuang frowned: "What do you mean?"
“She wants to see that man, but doesn’t want me to know, so she can only meet him secretly during work hours. I just need to get Yun Jin’s schedule to know when they meet. Then I can go to the company in advance and wait for her. As soon as Yun Jin leaves, I can follow her and find that person,” Hua Cheng said confidently.
Liu Zhuang was a little confused: "Yun Jin is planning to meet with him secretly during work hours, can you still give me a real schedule?"
“Of course not,” Hua Cheng glanced at him. “She will definitely make time to see him, and she will add a fake work arrangement to that time, such as a meeting… It should be a meeting. It would only be reasonable if she didn’t answer my calls during the meeting.”
Liu Zhuang suddenly realized, and then asked, "She has to attend eight hundred meetings a day. How do you know which meetings are real and which are just a smokescreen?"
“That’s even simpler,” Hua Cheng said, raising his chin with an air of pride. “She can’t be holding a meeting all by herself, can she? I just need to spy on the employees in the company whose schedules overlap with hers, and I can find out which meetings are real and which are fake.”
Liu Zhuang remained silent for a long time, then gave a thumbs up: "You really know how to do it."
Hua Cheng gave a soft snort.
When it comes to Nanjing brocade, Hua Cheng is always a man of action. Not long after discussing it with Liu Zhuang, he got the itinerary from Xiao Zhou.
The itinerary was very professionally designed, and every work arrangement seemed real. However, Hua Cheng was not defeated by the difficulties. He spent his days mingling with various departments of Yuncheng Technology, chatting, having meals together, and playing games, which seriously reduced everyone's work efficiency.
Several department heads approached Yun Jin, asking if the company was going to go bankrupt and why Huacheng was doing nothing productive.
Yun Jin assumed that Hua Cheng was just too idle and asked everyone to be more understanding.
Since the CEO has said so, what else can they do but indulge him?
Fortunately, after only two days, Huacheng lost interest in harming his own company and went on to do something else.
On the fourth day, he crouched in a beat-up Volkswagen, cautiously observing the company park across the street.
Liu Zhuang, in the passenger seat: "...Where did you get this piece of junk?"
"I just bought it randomly at the secondhand market," Hua Cheng said casually.
Liu Zhuang said helplessly, "I know you changed cars on purpose because you were afraid of being exposed, but couldn't you have bought a bigger one?"
With his size, he was crammed into the passenger seat like luncheon meat squeezed into a can, completely full.
“The big truck is too conspicuous,” Hua Cheng glanced at him, “Can’t you lose some weight?”
Liu Zhuang sneered and made a move to get out of the car.
"Don't move!" Hua Cheng quickly grabbed him. "She's out!"
Liu Zhuang immediately shrank back, trying his best to hide himself.
Yun Jin's car drove out of the park and headed to the left.
"Chase!"
"Chase!"
The two people in the broken Volkswagen spoke at the same time, and Hua Cheng stepped on the gas and chased after them.
In the first five minutes after they chased after him, the two discussed whether to wait until Yun Jin left before going up to negotiate, or to go home first and investigate the man's ancestors.
During the five to ten minutes they chased after each other, the two gradually fell silent.
After chasing for ten to twenty minutes, Liu Zhuang couldn't help but speak up: "This road..."
It seems to be the way home.
Hua Cheng also found it strange.
When Yun Jin's car entered the underground parking garage of the residential area, the two looked at each other, both feeling a bit amused and exasperated.
“She’s going home,” Hua Cheng said.
Liu Zhuang nodded: "Hilarious, I thought they were going to see their cheating partner."
The two laughed heartily and walked towards the garage.
The security guard initially intended to stop the unfamiliar vehicle, but upon seeing the driver, he looked surprised and exclaimed, "Mr. Hua, why did you change to a car like this?"
"I borrowed it for an emergency," Hua Cheng said, handing him a pack of cigarettes.
The security guard thanked him, accepted the bag, and quickly let him through.
The Volkswagen slowly drove into the garage. Hua Cheng saw Yun Jin get out of the car from afar and was about to wave to her when he saw her turn and head in the opposite direction from home.
He paused for a moment: "You've gone to the wrong place."
Liu Zhuang: "It should be."
Ten minutes later, the two appeared in the emergency exit on the top floor.
"Fatty!" Hua Cheng collapsed into Liu Zhuang's arms, heartbroken. "She actually...she actually let a third party live in our neighborhood!"
