Long Dream Resurrection

Long Dream Resurrection

After a long time, Pei Zhi raised his head from Xu Youling's shoulder, put his hands on his waist, and kissed the tip of his nose.

"I'm glad you're okay." He said dreamily.

Xu Youling then realized that he was lying completely on Pei Zhi, on the side of the big bed in the room, and he had probably rolled down from the excessive movement just now. He tried to get up with his elbows, but Pei Zhi gently supported him and stopped him from moving.

"Do you have any strength?" Pei Zhi half sat up.

Xu Youling then sat astride Pei Zhi, clinging to him softly, and whispered, "I'm a little tired."

Pei Zhi touched his back again and again, and put his other hand around his lower back, gently tightening his fingertips.

"Have I been unconscious for a long time?" Xu Youling's face flushed slightly. She felt that the position where she was supported seemed strange. "Where is this place?"

"It's a bit long." Pei Zhi was silent for a while before speaking.

Xu Youling quickly accepted this explanation and nodded obediently: "I had a very strange dream."

"Really?" Pei Zhi's breath was a little unstable, and his voice softened involuntarily. "What did you dream about?"

"It's just..." Xu Youling hesitated, not knowing how to start. "Anyway... it was a very strange dream."

Pei Zhi frowned and was about to say something when there was an urgent knock on the door. He suddenly raised his head and asked in a stern voice, "Who?"

"What's wrong?" Xu Youling was startled and tried to climb down from him in a panic.

The door opened a crack, and someone like a young soldier knocked cautiously twice, saying carefully, "Lieutenant Colonel Pei..."

"Get out." Pei Zhi's face darkened.

The young soldier seemed to be asked to check the situation. He bravely wanted to say something, but he saw Xu Youling sitting astride Pei Zhi through the crack in the door. His face suddenly turned pale and he closed the door with a trembling hand.

"Bang!"

Xu Youling looked at Pei Zhi in confusion: "Why are you yelling at him?"

Pei Zhi didn't expect Xu Youling to say this, and he almost laughed out loud: "You want to control this?"

"Just asking..." Xu Youling felt a little embarrassed.

Pei Zhi hummed, picked him up, and threw him onto the soft bed with a hint of annoyance, but soon leaned over and kissed his face: "Lie down."

Xu Youling nodded obediently, letting Pei Zhi tuck him in and put a comfortable pillow under him, as if he were taking care of a seriously ill patient. He couldn't help but say, "Pei Zhi, I'm not sick."

Pei Zhi stopped what he was doing and looked at him, then lowered his head and continued to clean up: "I'm not sick, I just almost died."

"Ah?" Xu Youling's brain froze.

So the next moment, Xu Youling acted like a spoiled child and begged Pei Zhi to tell him what had happened. Then Pei Zhi sat on the edge of the bed and watched him beg for mercy with a cold face.

"Can you please not do this?" Xu Youling pitifully pulled his hand, but this time Pei Zhi didn't let go. "Why didn't you tell me? I don't even know where this place is. What if you sell me out?"

"It's just a matter of time." Pei Zhi sneered.

Although he said so, his hand gripped tighter. Encouraged, Xu Youling kept looking up at him, her eyes bright and round.

"..." Pei Zhi pinched his face in annoyance, "Who taught you this kind of nonsense!"

"Why is it such a mess..." Xu Youling showed an innocent expression.

Pei Zhi really fell for it.

They dawdled and lingered until it was dark outside the window. Pei Zhi then acted very reluctant and said that they had already arrived at the border station.

"Someone just came out of the spiritual realm and passed out." Pei Zhi scratched his face twice, "What a useless guy."

"What?... I obviously helped a lot." Xu Youling puffed up his lips, "And I haven't told you yet... I really had a very strange dream, I want to ask you..."

"Don't say it." Pei Zhi said softly.

He gently held Xu Youling's hand and stroked his slightly protruding finger bones.

Xu Youling stopped talking, lowered his eyes to look at Pei Zhi's hand, and their fingers were intertwined.

Is this the "good ending"?

What if it's not?

Will I stay here forever?

If not...what to do?

Will you come with me?

He had many questions but few answers. He knew very well that he could not really express these things to Pei Zhi through words, so he could only look at him and remain silent.

However, when the sentinel and the guide are in spiritual communication, language is slower and more redundant than thinking.

Xu Youling was surprised to find that Pei Zhi's eyes became soft and gentle, like a mystery that had been around for a long time. He had proposed the answer a long time ago, but it was not until this moment that it was confirmed beyond doubt.

Pei Zhi's emotions also rushed over like the ocean rolling up a small, kind shell... They were mixed and mysterious structures, and Xu Youling took a long time to distinguish them before he could barely analyze them.

"Pei Zhi..."

Xu Youling spoke in a daze.

Pei Zhi turned his head away as if to cover up something and patted the back of his hand soothingly: "Okay, it's okay."

"I promise you everything. I agree to whatever you say." Pei Zhi said softly.

"I haven't said anything yet." Xu Youling pursed her lips.

Pei Zhi held his hand and shook his head slowly.

"So that's why you became my guide." Pei Zhi turned his head and moved closer to him. "Should I thank you again..."

Thank you for what? The fate that threw Xu Youling into the world?

No one asked for his opinion. If Xu Youling had been the one to choose before, he would definitely not have been willing to accept this fate.

But if staying away from this fate means that she will never meet Pei Zhi again, then Xu Youling will choose to throw herself into this ocean again.

If I had to say what the meaning is, this is probably it.

"Don't thank it, thank me." Xu Youling said in a low voice.

Pei Zhi smiled and said, "Okay, thank you."

Thank you for being my guide and lover, thank you for trying to change my destiny.

And obviously, you have succeeded.

-

Pei Zhi pressed Xu Youling on the big bed in the room to rest until the next day before allowing him to go out for a short walk.

Xu Youling had been unconscious for too long, so honestly, he didn't need that much sleep. But he still obediently let Pei Zhi move him back and forth, and then he docilely pretended to rest.

But he couldn't pretend any longer and kept peeking out the window. The heavy snow outside was illuminated by the searchlight at the entrance of the military camp and fell on the window frame.

"What are you doing?" Pei Zhi frowned and pushed him back.

Xu Youling peeked out from under the covers: "I can't sleep... Can't I just take a look outside?"

Pei Zhi looked at him intently for a moment, then raised his lip and asked, "Can't you sleep?"

Xu Youling nodded firmly: "I really can't sleep...Ahhh!"

When Pei Zhi heard his confirmation, he decisively jumped onto the bed, grabbed the man's wrist and pressed him under him.

Xu Youling stared blankly at Pei Zhi's eyes that suddenly approached her, and almost forgot to breathe.

"Why can't you sleep all of a sudden?" Pei Zhi's movements were very rude, but his tone was very much asking for advice. "It's because I always slept with you before, right?"

"No... How could it be because of this!" Xu Youling's face flushed red, and he subconsciously begged for mercy, "Pei Zhi..."

Pei Zhi held his hand tighter and tighter, his expression calm, his lips almost touching his brow. Xu Youling boldly kissed his chin, pretending to be flattering: "Don't..."

"Why not?" Pei Zhi raised his eyebrows, his breathing becoming heavier. He stared at Xu Youling's lips with a pointed look, "You're so insincere."

Xu Youling then raised her head with difficulty and touched his lips.

But Pei Zhi remained unmoved, as if he would not give up until he got some more benefits: "Didn't you already know how to..."

"Don't say that!" Xu Youling hurriedly stopped him.

Hearing Pei Zhi say coldly, "Don't you already know how to stick out your tongue?" was too much for him.

Xu Youling's eyes wandered from Pei Zhi's lips to his chin, and then all the way down.

So he kissed Pei Zhi's Adam's apple.

Pei Zhi breathed heavily, and immediately pressed Xu Youling even deeper into his arms, pressing him so hard that he almost sank into the sheets. Xu Youling struggled, kicking his slender white legs.

"Don't move." Pei Zhi's voice was hoarse, and he slapped his outer thigh lightly.

Xu Youling was completely defenseless and was being beaten so hard that she kept moaning "hmmmm". It was clear that she didn't feel any pain, but perhaps because of the shame and anger at being hit by Pei Zhi like this, her eyes suddenly turned red.

But before he could say anything to Pei Zhi, the latter lowered his head and bit his lips hard, forcing out the tears that were originally just barely there, and they sparkled with a bright color under the indoor light.

"Did you ask for it? Hmm?" Pei Zhi felt it wasn't enough. He bit his earlobe and licked it, mumbling, "Did you ask for it?"

-

So the next day, when Xu Youling was half-supported and half-carried out by Pei Zhi very reluctantly, he did not think the other soldiers' surprise would be a very unexpected reaction.

After all, before coming out, he tried his best to turn up the collar of the coat that Pei Zhi lent him, but every time he tried to do so, Pei Zhi would forcibly turn it down with the excuse that "the base is warm."

Some small red marks are revealed, which are quite conspicuous on the skin.

But what Xu Youling didn't know was that there were more than just traces, his entire body gave off an aura of having been hugged and loved. He felt dizzy, his face flushed, and he looked soft.

Pei Zhi didn't allow him to talk to other people. He wrapped the bag and put it next to the bar, then let the German Shepherd watch over him and do his job.

Xu Youling raised his face and let him kiss her before he said goodbye obediently, although he was still quite embarrassed...but the other soldiers in the base seemed to be doing their own things and didn't care about the little accident in this little corner, so he felt at ease.

After Pei Zhi walked away, a soldier sat down beside him. Xu Youling turned his head and saw that it was the young corporal who came to see Pei Zhi last night.

"What's wrong?" He spoke first in a friendly manner.

The young soldier's face was pale, but he seemed to have an exceptionally strong courage. He boldly asked: "Are you... awake?"

"Yeah." Xu Youling felt strange, "Isn't it obvious?"

"But, but..." the corporal stammered, "The military doctor said you had stopped breathing..."

Xu Youling was stunned.

"Lieutenant Colonel Pei has been guarding... the body... for so long." The soldier said hesitantly, "Are you really alive?"
