What? I don't want to be gay.
At night, at a busy intersection, Ye Lin was about to go home when she saw a drunk man sitting on the side of the road. Ye Lin walked past him. The man, a drink in hand, lay on the lawn, cursing incoherently, "Leng Lin, you motherfucker, how dare you think about me?" "Your uncle..."
Ye Lin walked in and saw the man's face clearly, "Han Yu." Ye Lin helped him up.
Han Yu was in a daze and could barely see who was coming. "Ye, Ye Shen, what are you doing to me here..." His body was swaying and he relied on Ye Lin for support to avoid falling down.
"Han Yu." Ye Lin pierced his acupoint. Han Yu's consciousness gradually returned, and Ye Lin became clearer in his eyes.
It was Ye Shen. When Han Yu saw Ye Lin, the corners of his mouth turned down and tears welled up in his eyes. "Ye Shen." His voice sounded very aggrieved.
"It's Leng Lin." Han Yu nodded.
"That bastard Leng Lin is crazy. He actually said he liked me and wanted to marry me abroad. I regard him as my best buddy, but he actually has such thoughts." Han Yu confided, but saw that Ye Lin had a flat reaction.
"Ye Shen, you already knew this?"
Ye Lin didn't deny it. Anyone familiar with Leng Lin would probably be able to see it. "I don't know what to do now?"
Han Yu shook his head disappointedly, "I don't know, and I don't dare to think about it."
"If you can't accept his feelings and thoughts, how are you going to face him? Will you never have anything to do with him again, or will you pretend nothing happened and continue to be friends? Can you really have no grudges against him?"
Han Yu still shook his head, "Our two families have too deep a connection." It is impossible for the Han family to cut off ties with the Leng family, but he can't pretend to be ignorant when he knows the truth.
"Do you know about the Vaal Mask Effect?"
"Well, the hidden multifaceted personalities in the human subconscious."
"A life scientist named Val discovered through research that people are evaluated differently by different people in different relationships. They might be bossy with their parents, kind and friendly with their friends, and well-behaved and sensible with their teachers, almost like they are two different people. They respond to different people with different expressions and attitudes, which is commonly known as 'differential treatment.' This is also the reason why many relationships that develop from friendships to romance eventually break down; the filter of friendship gradually breaks down."
Han Yu looked at Ye Lin in confusion. Ye Lin asked him, "What do the people around you think of Leng Lin?"
"Are there some people you hear from their mouths that make you confused? Is the person they are talking about Leng Lin?"
Han Yu thought for a moment:
"Hey, I just asked Leng Lin about his homework and he ignored me."
"Han Yu, does Leng Lin not talk much?"
…
Ye Lin asked step by step, "Does Leng Lin really treat you the same as others? Han Yu, some past situations are hazy and unclear, perhaps because you have never thought about clearing up the fog."
"I……"
"I know you're feeling confused right now, just get some sleep." Her tone seemed to have hypnotic power.
"Hmm..." Han Yu, whose thoughts were unclear, responded vaguely, his eyelids drooping heavily.
Before Han Yu fell, a large hand grabbed him. It was Leng Lin.
He hugged Han Yu and leaned against him. His dark eyes looked at Ye Lin and nodded at her, "Goddess Ye."
"He's drunk. I'll take him back first." He supported Han Yu and walked a distance away when Ye Lin called him.
"Leng Lin." Leng Lin turned his back to Ye Lin and looked sideways at Han Yu in his arms.
Why is Han Yu lying here? Why did Leng Lin suddenly appear? Who is he?
Who left the drunk Han Yu on the road where Ye Lin would pass by, and who drove to a hidden corner and kept watching Ye Lin and Han Yu?
It’s him! Leng Lin.
Ye Lin—she knew. Leng Lin understood that being clever in front of Ye Lin was not enough.
Leng Lin was a brilliant and thoughtful man. Back in high school, he'd felt that Ye Lin and he had some similarities, though they weren't the same type. He knew Ye Lin had a special identity and was doing unusual things, so he'd covered up for her when others were suspicious. He hadn't intended to exploit her, but his love for Han Yu kept him from letting go, so he considered it a reward for covering up for her.
He picked up Han Yu and looked away from him, "Don't worry, I won't do anything to hurt him."
Every step he took while holding Han Yu was a reflection of his firm determination to be with Han Yu. Even if his life was burned to death, even if there were countless difficulties and obstacles, he would only end up in Han Yu's hands.
"Put me down. Leng Lin, what are you doing? You're carrying me like a princess. Let me go." Han Yu continued to struggle.
Han Yu struggled to break free from Leng Lin's grasp, but couldn't even stand. Leng Lin squatted down and carried Han Yu on his back, "Don't move."
Han Yu's stomach churned and he vomited on Leng Lin's shoulder, and the vomit flowed down his expensive suit jacket.
Leng Lin stood there in a daze, and after a while he let out a breath, "Han Yu, I really can't do anything about you." He helped Han Yu into the car and threw his coat into the trash can.
He took Han Yu back to his residence, cleaned him up, and took care of him, feeding him water, washing him, and tucking him into bed. He squatted beside the bed, watching Han Yu's peaceful sleeping face, and kept moving closer to his lips. A hint of rationality made him stop at a finger's distance. Leng Lin stood up and walked towards the door, but in a moment, he turned back and lay down next to Han Yu, his longing heart filled with a satisfaction he had never achieved before.
The sun broke through the clouds, piercing the clouds and illuminating the window. Han Yu slowly awoke, sat up, and stretched. Confused, he looked to the side, where Leng Lin lay on his side, propping up his head and smiling at him.
He quickly checked and changed his clothes. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his waist and buttocks. Han Yu was so angry that his eyes turned red. "Leng Lin, you beast." He was about to fight him.
Leng Lin turned over and pressed him down, raised his eyebrows and asked him: "Why are you so excited?"
"What do you say? My young master is innocent, and you are a villain who takes advantage of me."
"If I had taken advantage of you, you would be lying on the bed, unable to move."
Han Yu's eyes rolled, "You didn't do anything to me?"
"If you want..."
"No, I don't want to." Han Yu looked at this awkward position and said, "Get off me."
Leng Lin let him go, with a look of regret in his eyes.
"I'm warning you, no matter what thoughts are in your mind, stop them. I think you are sick, and I suggest you see a psychiatrist and stop acting crazy in front of me." Han Yu pointed at Leng Lin and said viciously.
"I am sick, and only you can cure this disease. If you don't care, I will only get sicker."
"Stop arguing with me. I'm not a doctor."
Leng Lin held up his wrist, "Han Yu, you can't let me like you and be irresponsible."
Han Yu was so angry that he couldn't stop shaking. "So it's all my fault, okay? If you say that, have you thought about what to do in the future? How will you explain it to our two families? Do you think they will agree? I am my parents' only son. Do you want the Han family to be extinct?"
"These are not problems. We have my brother at home. You can go and do IVF with another woman. We will keep this child, and I will treat him as our own. As long as you are willing, I can solve everything. I will talk to our parents."
Han Yu suddenly pushed Leng Lin away, "I don't want to do this, but you think it through. Who cares about your parents?" He gasped angrily, "You are sick, I can't convince you." He was about to leave after he said that.
"Han Yu." Leng Lin called him.
"Don't bother me and don't follow me." Han Yu slammed the door and walked out.
Leng Lin stood still, thinking about Han Yu's vivid appearance just now, and his heavy breathing, which was really nice to hear. He didn't know... cough... He coughed heavily, his Adam's apple rolled up and down, and he felt a little thirsty.
Han Yu was very upset when he left the house. He vaguely remembered that he seemed to have met Ye Lin yesterday. "It was Ye Shen." His eyes lit up. What did Ye Shen say to him yesterday? Han Yu scratched his head and said, "Why can't I remember anything at all?"
It seems that I need to go to Ye Shen again, maybe she will have a solution. He dialed Ye Lin's contact number, "Hello, Ye Shen."
"Han Yu..." Ye Lin knew that Han Yu would look for her again, so she gave him an address.
Han Yu poured out his grievances when he saw Ye Lin. He talked about the whole thing from beginning to end and returned to his usual talkative state. Nearly half of his words were insults to Leng Lin.
Han Yu's mouth was dry after hearing this. "So what should I do, Master Ye?"
Ye Lin handed him a cup of tea and asked, "Are you really feeling distressed?"
Han Yu drank the water in the cup and said, "Yes."
"Then try living without Leng Lin!"
