Chapter 122

Chapter 122

She pressed her lips tightly together, her eyes filled with unease.

What exactly happened to Song Yun?

Slow, deliberate footsteps echoed down the hotel corridor.

Lin Yu arrived at Song Yun's door, leaned against the wall with one shoulder, looked at her, and said listlessly, "Can't open it?"

Jiang You: "Yes..."

She had just uttered a word when she suddenly stopped.

As if by magic, Lin Yu turned his fair and beautiful right hand, with its distinct knuckles, revealing a black room card between his index and middle fingers, which caught Jiang You's eye.

The light shone on the room key, and along with the hand, it emitted a cold, gleaming glow.

Jiang You asked in surprise, "You have Song Yun's room key? Where did you get it?"

"I told the receptionist a little white lie," Lin Yu said casually, looking at her indifferently, "and she gave it to me."

"That's amazing, thank you..." Jiang You happily took the room key, and with a click, the door opened, silencing Lin Yu's somewhat inappropriate thank you.

The room was dark and had a strong medicinal smell.

Jiang You's unease grew, her breathing became rapid, and she was clearly losing control of her emotions.

The lights came on, and on the bed, except for a head of fluffy, chestnut-colored curly hair peeking out from under the covers, the rest of the person was completely covered by the blankets.

"Song Yun?" she called out.

The person on the bed did not respond, and Jiang You's unease escalated into fear.

No, he's not dead, is he?

The girl stood stiffly not far from the bed, her face pale as she stared at it.

Lin Yu leaned lazily against the side, glanced at her with his gray eyes for a few seconds, took a few steps forward, and lifted the blanket.

Song Yun had her eyes closed and was wearing a loose gray vest and black pants that reached her knees.

His arms and legs were wrapped in bandages, and it seemed that there were bandages around his stomach as well.

She was still just a nineteen-year-old girl. Seeing her lying there, her life hanging in the balance, Jiang You's mind went completely blank.

When did Song Yun get injured? Wasn't he always by her side?

Lin Yu's gaze swept over the heaving chest, and he said calmly, "Not dead, still breathing."

Jiang You breathed a sigh of relief and followed her to the bedside.

Song Yun's androgynous, exquisite face was flushed with a hint of spring.

Lin Yu knew a little about medicine. He examined Song Yun's forehead, and then touched the other's hands and feet.

"My hands and feet are ice cold, but my body is burning hot; I have a high fever."

After he finished speaking, he carefully unwrapped the gauze and examined the wound. "Tsk, it must be caused by a wound infection."

On January 2nd, the temperature was below zero. The blanket was pulled back, and even though the room was heated, Song Yun still shivered.

"Don't move," came the calm, unhurried voice, which carried an undeniable authority.

Song Yun's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she slowly opened her eyes. The corners of her eyes were red, and they were so bright they seemed about to overflow with tears.

The first thing that catches the eye is a handsome young man.

When he opened his eyes, the handsome young man simply moved his eyeballs slowly, without any emotional fluctuation.

Instead, the boy next to him leaned over happily and asked, "Song Yun, you're awake?"

Seeing his confused and bewildered look, Jiang You's heart skipped a beat, and he looked at Lin Yu.

Lin Yu, with a deadpan expression, casually remarked, "Did the fever make him stupid?"

Jiang You: "!!!"

Ahhh, don't say things like that!!!

Song Yun bit his lip, sat up from the bed, grabbed the girl's arm, and made her bend over. He gently rested his head on her shoulder.

Looking at Song Yun, who seemed very satisfied, Lin Yu narrowed his eyes slightly.

Jiang You was taken aback for a moment, then sat down to make him more comfortable.

Song Yun murmured, "My muse."

He tilted his head, ready to do what he had wanted to do ever since he opened his eyes and saw the girl.

Song Yun started with zero frames, but someone was even faster than her. Jiang You felt someone grab her by the back of her collar, and Song Yun's lips, slightly off-target, landed on the corner of her mouth, sliding down to her ear.

After she came to her senses, she stood next to Lin Yu.
