Chapter 213
“Theodore,” Jiang You tilted his head back, his chin slightly raised, like a little animal begging for candy.
She deliberately widened her eyes, trying to make herself look more innocent and endearing: "I want to sleep with you."
Her voice was as soft as if it were soaked in honey, or like cotton candy, sweet and almost melting into the air.
It looked sweet, like a favorite dessert, but the frizzy Theodore was like a punctured balloon, its flame gone.
He withdrew his hand and leaned against the door, looking down at her casually, and said, "Oh? But I'm a woman now, I can't sleep with you."
Jiang You, mimicking Song Yun, looked completely bewildered. What was Theodore saying? It was because of a woman that they slept together. If it were a man, she might stay up all night and not come over. No, no, she would never have said a word to him in the first place.
She was puzzled for less than half a second when she remembered a news story about a foreigner who came to China and saw women holding hands all over the streets and assumed they were all gay.
Jiang You, suddenly realizing something, scratched his face with one hand: "I'm not a lesbian, I'm just afraid of sleeping alone... You know, in China, they don't decorate rooms with fluttering white cloths, like a funeral parlor, and the bed is... a coffin."
Ugh, I can't let my imagination run wild! Once I start imagining things like red embroidered shoes or little devils, all sorts of images pop into my head.
Theodore lifted his eyelids and said casually, with a hint of meaning, "I'm not a lesbian, um... I'm heterosexual."
Wouldn't it be perfect if two straight women slept together? Jiang You nodded: "I know, I know. Can I come in now?"
"What do you think?" Theodore smiled.
“I think it’s okay,” Theodore said, blocking the entrance. Jiang You then stretched out his arm and wrapped it around Theodore’s waist.
It was thinner than I had imagined. Not noticing that the other person was stiff, I rubbed my head against their chest. Their chest was much firmer than I had imagined.
"Let me in, I'm really scared," Jiang You said, rubbing against Theodore as he squeezed inside.
“Jiang You,” Theodore seemed quite pleased, letting her hold him, “you need to overcome this, otherwise you’ll become dependent on her.”
"I think I need to transition a bit, so I won't be coming tomorrow."
"Why not try to overcome it? Just one night and you'll find it's not so bad. If you choose to take a shortcut now, it will be the same tomorrow. After all, the fear is still there; you haven't eliminated it."
Jiang You paused, realizing that Theodore was indeed quite arrogant. She wasn't the type to be shameless; if you said no, she would slink away.
No, Theodore's words implied that he was advising her to go back, but if she wanted to stay, she could.
The problem lies here: she knocked on Theodore's door out of fear, so how could she possibly go back just because of a few words?
It's like a hypocritical angel, speaking with the advice of someone who's been there, yet leaving a tempting door wide open in front of you.
"It's just for one night," Jiang You grumbled, rubbing against Theodore and squeezing in.
Finally, Theodore, as if giving up in despair, staggered back a few steps, and Jiang You successfully entered Theodore's room.
...not much different from her.
“You’ll regret this, Jiang You.” Theodore stood to the side, his tone so light and indifferent that Jiang You thought it was his imagination.
"No, that won't happen," Jiang You thought to herself. She walked to the bedside and sat down, looking at Theodore by the door.
