Chapter Fifty-Five: A Travelogue of Beijing (Part Two)

Xia Yan lowered her head, her loose strands of hair falling over her forehead, her expression slightly unpleasant.

Not only was there a cacophony of sour stench in the air, but also a dense cacophony of noises surging in from all directions. And what kind of mode of transportation did Jiang You choose? Wasn't this a slap in the face?

At first, Jiang You wasn't sure which day he would come and wanted to buy his own ticket, so he agreed, and that's how it is?

The girl usually doesn't accept money from him, so he gives her gold jewelry every one or two days.

Xia Yan, this rich young master, is an extreme hedonist. Even if he only has two hundred yuan left, he will spend it all to buy the best things.

Therefore, he completely failed to understand Jiang You's behavior. In the past, he would have scorned such people, thinking they were hopelessly stupid.

But when it came to Jiang You, I just felt sorry for him. What had he gone through to develop such a frugal personality?

Jiang You had no idea what Xia Yan was thinking. Apart from the green train, other modes of transportation from Sheng'an City to Beijing would cost over 700 yuan.

Maybe everyone wants to go to Tiananmen Square to watch the flag-raising ceremony during National Day, which is why prices have risen so much.

She couldn't bear to part with it; she still needed to save up some money to buy a house.

Jiang You, huffing and puffing, got off the train with his suitcase and walked out with the crowd.

As soon as I stepped off the platform, I spotted three teenagers standing not far away.

It wasn't that she had sharp eyes, but rather that she was too conspicuous. Not only was she tall and fair-skinned, but she also looked like a naive young woman who had come to the city in the 1960s and had never seen the world before. Her eyes were filled with confusion, helplessness, and unease, almost overflowing with tears.

A young man with a buzz cut was holding up a colorful sign that read: [Welcome the beautiful Jiang You to Beijing!]

Xia Yan held a bouquet of Earl Grey tea and roses.

Jiang You paused, hadn't he said not to come and pick her up?

Looking at this grand display, her lips felt slightly dry. She had never experienced such open and unrestrained love before. She felt both warm and touched, but also embarrassed and repulsed.

Just then, she entered a pair of clear, dark eyes, and instantly, those eyes filled with laughter, becoming misty and tender.

The early morning breeze ruffled Lu Shi'an's tousled hair, revealing her elegant brow bone, and her lips, like those of a clear, ripe peach, parted slightly as she said, "Sister-in-law!"

Upon hearing his shout, the other two followed Lu Shi'an's gaze and looked over. At the same time, the passersby, driven by curiosity, instinctively turned around, only to turn back and continue on their way a second later.

But that was enough for Jiang You to die in public. She banished the image of her and Lu Shi'an kissing under the fireworks from her mind and quickly walked up to the three of them with her luggage.

"Xia Yan," she called out softly, feeling a little embarrassed. It had been a month since she last saw Xia Yan, and he seemed to have matured quite a bit.

"Sister-in-law, give me the luggage," Lu Shi'an said, reaching out to take it. His fair palm brushed against her fingers, and his long, slender little finger teasingly hooked her little finger.

Jiang Youxin was startled and instinctively looked up at him. She saw that the other man, with his back to Xia Yan, was blatantly staring into her eyes and winking at her with a smile.

Xia Yan stepped forward and handed the bouquet to Jiang You: "This is for you."

"Th...thank you," the girl said with an awkward smile, taking the package guiltily.

"Tired?" Xia Yan glanced at the girl's lips, his mouth unconsciously secreting saliva. He swallowed it, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down. It turned out that there really was someone who didn't have to do anything, just stand there obediently, and could arouse his desire.

Knowing that the girl didn't like crowded places, he didn't bend down to kiss her tongue. Instead, he smiled and reached out to tuck a stray hair that had fallen near her mouth behind her ear. He touched her earlobe with his index finger before reluctantly withdrawing it: "Let's go to the car."

His amber eyes looked at her with an unfathomable darkness, reminding Jiang You of the memory of those two months when he was on the verge of death.

Extra:

The magnificent crystal chandelier in the living room, as dazzling as stars, illuminates the entire room with a radiant glow.

Thick, hand-woven carpets covered the floor, and a set of genuine leather sofas sat in the center of the living room, where several men were seated.

Some of them leaned lazily against the back of their chairs, some had a half-smile, some were indifferent, and some were apathetic and showed no emotion whatsoever.

"Do you know about the zombies having a meeting?" the girl sitting in the center asked.

Several men looked over, and Jiang You, seeing that all eyes were on her, said quietly, "Go to her homepage. There, she left a string of mysterious numbers."

Song Yun lazily rested his chin on her shoulder and blinked: "Youyou, what's the use of that?"

"With this string of numbers, you can go to Antarctica, find the penguins, and enter a mysterious place where you'll find like-minded companions!"
