Chapter Ninety Your Man
The dormitory supervisor sat in the small room, dozing off in a daze.
At this time, it seemed that all living things were fast asleep, and all around was quiet and still.
The boy saw her, stopped, and stood in the shadows, his expression indistinct, but you could feel his eyes fixed on her.
“Come here,” Xia Yan said hoarsely as she stepped forward, the lower half of her fair face exposed to the light, her lips flat and devoid of any warmth.
After a full three minutes, Jiang You swallowed hard before swiping his card through the gate and coming out.
She was wearing pajamas and slippers, and slowly walked to a spot not far from Xia Yan, her hands nervously twisting together.
She knew that hiding inside and not coming out was pointless.
So while I was going downstairs, I sent a message to Xia Bei.
Don't ask her why she didn't call. Just tell her the boy only gave her three minutes; what if she couldn't get through?
"Xia Yan..."
“I’m dating you,” Xia Yan said in a flat voice. He took a step closer, his tall figure looming over Jiang You with an absolute height difference. “I’m not talking about breaking up.”
"I...I..." Jiang You lowered his head, staring at his twisted, red fingers, too terrified to speak for a moment.
“I’m not here to listen to you stammering,” Xia Yan seemed extremely angry, looking at her with an eerie calm on her delicate features. “Let’s go to the place where we first met and talk.”
The girl didn't move. The man said coldly, "Am I not discussing this with you, or do you want to suffer a little?"
Faced with the choice between being led astray or following along, the astute Jiang You chose the latter.
The man remained silent throughout the journey.
Jingrui Yunwan residential complex, a large single-level apartment, the place where we first met.
Stepping inside again felt like stepping into another world.
“I thought you would come often, so I asked Aunt Liu to keep your favorite dishes in the refrigerator and clean the room every day... but you have never come even once.”
Xia Yan spoke the first sentence casually.
He stared at her, his amber eyes devoid of their usual gentleness, now only revealing an unfathomable abyss.
Jiang You looked away timidly and flusteredly, pursing his lips and remaining silent, also having nothing to say.
"Let's sit down and talk about what it means that we're not a good match?" Xia Yan walked towards the room.
Jiang You tightened her grip on her fingers. The man turned around and glanced at her sideways. She immediately followed him like a soft-hearted bun.
She became quiet and reserved after taking her seat.
Xia Yan sat down opposite her: "Not going to talk? Then let's go to bed and talk."
He shifted slightly, a soft creaking sound coming from under the chair. Jiang You, flustered, quickly said, "It means exactly what it says. We're not compatible, whether it's our values or our family backgrounds..."
"Hmph, more than that, isn't it?" Xia Yan interrupted her with a furious laugh, his handsome face turning gloomy. "Not suitable for me? What about Song Yun, that idiot? Is that moron suitable?"
Jiang You suddenly looked up and met a mocking gaze. His eyes were colder than winter, making her tremble.
She remembered that Song Yun's existence was not mentioned.
Xia Yan stood up, the chair making a harsh sound on the floor: "You don't think I didn't investigate anything while I was here, do you?"
"You and Lu Shi'an were having fun playing pranks on me in the bathroom?"
The man walked up to her, raised his hand, and Jiang You closed her eyes in fear, her body trembling uncontrollably.
The expected pain didn't come. She opened her eyes and found that the strap for her phone that was hanging around her neck had been taken off.
Xia Yan was holding her phone, staring at it coldly.
Although she didn't know how the man knew her password, and she knew that she had deleted all the messages about Song Yunlu and Shi An, and that the man knew everything, she still felt guilty and wanted to take it back.
Xia Yan dodged to the side, grabbed her wrist with his large hand, and twisted it behind her back.
The next instant, Jiang You's leg was pushed by the man's knee, and her body fell uncontrollably onto the bed.
She struggled, and then she heard a whoosh as the belt was pulled out.
The man tied her hands behind her back with a belt, patted her buttocks, got off the bed, sat at the table next to her, and connected her phone to the computer.
The computer screen scrolled by, and soon, her chat history with Song Yun appeared on it.
He looked around leisurely, glancing at Jiang You as he looked.
The girl's stunned and shocked face prompted Xia Yan to say sarcastically, "You're busy having an affair, how could you have time to understand your man? Didn't expect your man to be a computer genius, did you?"
