Chapter Seventy-Three

Chapter Seventy-Three

Lu Shi'an lowered his long, beautiful eyelashes and examined the light red mark on the girl's wrist. After a while, he looked up at her, who looked uneasy, and said ambiguously with a half-smile, "You two just did it? You're quite the ladies' man."

Jiang You pursed his lips, trying to pull his leg back, but the other person not only wouldn't let go, but also grabbed it and placed it on his lower back.

"What exactly are you trying to do? Aren't you afraid Xia Yan will find out?"

"Isn't that perfect?" Lu Shi'an grinned and leaned closer, placing his hands firmly on either side of the sink.

His strong chest pressed against her upper body, his thin lips sought hers, but she dodged him again and again.

She gritted her teeth and said, "Aren't you afraid that if we find out, we'll beat you to death on the spot?"

"To die beneath the peony is to die romantically, even as a ghost," Lu Shi'an said, unable to kiss her lips, he simply buried his face in her neck.

The bathroom was not ventilated, and the lingering steam swirled like a thin veil, making the air unusually stuffy and humid, as if enveloped in a layer of viscous liquid, giving one a sense of being bound and unable to escape.

His once clean and clear face was now tinged with a hint of grime, and his long eyelashes trembled slightly as he looked at the girl, revealing an unspeakable longing.

It was as if he were parched land and the girl was the sweet rain, and the land longed for the arrival of the sweet rain.

"Youyou, please kiss me, okay? You've never kissed me before, and my heart is breaking, Youyou..."

Jiang You sat on the washbasin, with nothing to support her, and could only grab Lu Shi'an's shoulders. Thinking of Xia Yan's horrified expression, she took a deep breath: "If I kiss you, will you let go of me?"

Lu Shi'an paused, then said quietly, "You're really afraid of Brother Xia, aren't you, sister-in-law?"

The girl leaned against the mirror, wrapped her arms around the boy's neck, and lowered her head to touch his thin lips.

Soon, Lu Shi'an launched a counterattack, their kiss becoming passionate and inseparable.

Two knocks sounded on the door, followed by Xia Yan's casual voice: "Youyou, are you in there?"

Jiang You's pupils contracted, his breath caught in his throat, and he unconsciously hugged Lu Shi'an tightly, afraid to bury his head in Lu's neck and face him.

My heart was pounding at 120 mph... She's doomed, she's doomed, she's doomed.

"What are you afraid of?" Lu Shi'an enjoyed the way the girl hugged him tightly. He put his arms around her waist and said casually, "Just say you have an upset stomach, and ask him to get you some antidiarrheal medicine or pour you a glass of hot water. Get him out of there, isn't that enough?"

Xia Yan spoke again: "Is anyone inside?"

Jiang You raised her head and met his smiling, nonchalant brown eyes. He raised an eyebrow at her slightly.

"Xia Yan, my stomach hurts when I go downstairs to get a drink of water. Could you please get me a cup of hot water?"

Lu Shi'an played with her earlobe.

Xia Yan asked worriedly, "What's wrong? I'll go get a doctor for you right away."

“No need,” Jiang You said immediately, suppressing his trembling, without needing Lu Shi’an’s instruction this time. “I drank cold water, just go and pour me a cup of hot water.”

Xia Yan frowned, thought for a second, and decided to listen to Youyou: if the stomachache persisted, she would call the doctor.

Young Master Xia, for example, has a medical team on standby 24 hours a day.

"Okay, I'll go get some hot water."

Hearing that there was no sound outside, Jiang You pushed Lu Shi'an aside and got off the washbasin.

Lu Shi'an touched the chest where the girl had pushed him, leaned his right shoulder against the wall, crossed his arms, and watched her carefully open the door, peek out, and look around.

A smile played on his lips, his tone utterly nonchalant: "We're in this together, aren't you a little too quick to abandon me after I've served my purpose?"

"Who's on your side? If it weren't for you, would I be living in fear here?"

After Jiang You finished speaking, he frowned, turned around, and urged, "You've already kissed, hurry up and leave."

Lu Shi'an raised an eyebrow and smiled. As he casually passed by the girl, he leaned down and bit her lower lip hard.

"Hiss~" Jiang You exclaimed.

"What should we do? There's a mark now." Lu Shi'an rubbed the small teeth mark he had bitten with his thumb, stared into her eyes, and said innocently, "I can only ask Youyou to think of another excuse! Well then, see you tomorrow."

Jiang You stared at the boy's retreating figure, then quickly returned to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror.

Fortunately, the location of the mark wasn't strange, so she could say she had a stomachache and bit it unconsciously.

"Madmen, they're all madmen..."

She wiped her lips, then looked at herself in the mirror. Her ears were red, and her cheeks were unnaturally flushed.

I feel like I don't recognize myself anymore. On one hand, I think she's really a jerk, indecisive, juggling three relationships: Xia Yan, Lu Shi'an, and Song Yun.

On one hand, she was certain that Song Yun was a victim, an innocent person. She didn't want to either. She was an honest person with social anxiety and low self-esteem. Xia Yan didn't want to break up, Lu Shi'an threatened her, and Song Yun was crying. What could she do?
