Chapter 7 Thin Veil White Flesh Worm

We couldn't find the original insect, since it had already spat something out. Using it for the experiment would have saved us from losing an ant.

Zhao Zian sighed inwardly with a hint of regret, but he picked out another insect that looked smaller.

This white worm is about eight centimeters long, one or two centimeters smaller than its kind, and looks weaker.

The other nine ants watched from a distance, while Zhao Zian picked one and rushed towards the white worm, dashing in with a stylish zigzag maneuver.

The white worm was somewhat bewildered when it saw the ant charging towards it aggressively.

Although it didn't recognize the small black worm in front of it, the white worm could still sense a hint of danger. Without hesitation, it spat out the sticky liquid from its mouth at the unfamiliar worm.

Although the little ant's movements were very skillful under Zhao Zian's control, the green slime still hit the little ant in one go.

Needless to say, another one died, and the god's perspective went black on the spot.

Without saying a word, he controlled another little ant.

Kamikaze pilots are on the move!

The second ant changed its previous fancy footwork, no longer using any fancy zigzag patterns, and charged straight at full speed towards the white worm.

Zhao Zihan wanted to test whether the ants, charging at full speed, could dodge the corrosive slime.

Well, there was no escaping it. This little ant was hit by the green phlegm again and died three seconds later.

However, Zhao Zian was somewhat delighted at this moment, because he clearly felt that the second clump of phlegm spat out by the white flesh worm was much smaller than the first clump.

The third Kamikaze Suicide Bug continued its mission.

They charged straight at the flesh worms.

By this time, the worm was already sweating profusely, as the two consecutive attacks had left it short of ammunition.

However, it still desperately squeezed out its ammunition reserves and continued to spit out a third mouthful of green slime.

The sticky substance hit the ant perfectly again, but the amount of sticky substance had decreased significantly, and the ant was no longer completely covered.

The slime did not completely cover the ants' bodies, and it still corroded part of their bodies.

The little ant rolled around in pain, but it did not die. Its four legs were instantly corroded, and one of its antennae was also corroded. Although it did not die, it lost its fighting ability.

The white worm was startled and, seeing that the strange black worm in front of it was not dead, wanted to continue its attack.

From Zhao Zian's perspective, he saw the white flesh worm's head twitch a few times, but no matter how much he squeezed his ammunition reserves, the white flesh worm still couldn't spit out any more mucus.

Oh, so you can only spit out three mouthfuls of phlegm?

Hmm, no, the first two bites were quite generous, but by the third bite, I could clearly feel that the amount was insufficient.

To be precise, it should be two and a half bites.

Or perhaps... Yikun coughed up phlegm?

Oh well, we can't worry about that now. Let's strike while the iron is hot. Since we've run out of ammunition, we probably don't have any other means of attack either.

If we wait a little longer, it might cause trouble if the white worm spits out another mouthful of phlegm.

However, out of caution, Zhao Zian sent another ant to attack the white fleshy worm.

This time, the ants' attack went very smoothly. The white worm's head twitched twice, but it didn't spit anything out. It could only watch as the little ants rushed to its side and began to tear at its body.

Seeing this scene, Zhao Zian felt relieved, and the remaining six ants rushed forward and began to bite.

However, these ants were clearly not very powerful, so Zhao Zian called over 200 more ants from the anthill.

Half of the ant colony's forces have come out to attack the white fleshy worm, while the other half of the worker ants are collecting the juice from the surrounding bamboo shoots as a food reserve.

As for the two soldier ants, they remained near the nest as a guard force. The main base was still very important and must not be attacked.

More than 200 ants marched into battle in a mighty procession.

The white worm, which was already struggling frantically, became even more desperate.

Without the ability to spray slime, it's basically just a delicious lump of meat.

It could have managed to move a little closer to its companions, but after more than 200 ants arrived on the battlefield, it was instantly bitten and could only curl up in a ball on the ground.

Soon, the white worm, which had been struggling and twitching a bit, became completely still.

It never managed to cough up a fourth phlegm before it died.

The ants started by breaking it apart from the middle, biting it in two, and it immediately burst open. Fortunately, only the green slime that it sprayed out was corrosive; the juice inside its body was harmless.

Finally, the white worm was quickly broken down into small pieces by the worker ants.

A lot of the insect's bodily fluids flowed directly into the ground, which made Zhao Zian feel a little sorry for it.

He quickly ordered the worker ants to carry back all the sap mixed with the soil, as it was very nutritious and could not be wasted in the early stages of development.

Actually, this one worm is enough to eat for a long time. After all, it only costs 500 work points. Under normal circumstances, two 2-centimeter mealworms would be enough to eat for a day. There are also some rotten leaves to eat along with, and the newly discovered bamboo shoot juice is also a good food source.

These nearly ten-centimeter-long white worms are much larger in length and width than mealworms, and their overall size is likely to be even larger. One worm can probably last for more than ten days.

However, considering that all the ants have evolved and their appetites may have increased, it's best to supplement their food intake. Besides, eating more in this alien world might promote their evolution.

Although it's summer in reality, the temperature in this other world, as conveyed by the ants, isn't high; it feels more like autumn.

The food should be able to be preserved for a while, but I don't know if the ants can eat rotten food. Evolved ants shouldn't die from eating it, right?

I can't worry about that now. There's no reason not to clear out these jungle monsters. As a legendary jungler, I have to clear out the jungle.

Continue with the three-for-one strategy: send three suicide squads forward, and then the main force will wipe out the enemy.

The plan went very well. The other worms might be a bit bigger than the first one, but they could only spit out two and a half mouthfuls of phlegm.

After several attempts, I still couldn't find that he had no other means of attack. The whole race seemed rather dull, relying on just this one single method.

Of course, the main reason is that Zhao Zian's command was too insidious. Under normal circumstances, few other creatures would provoke this white worm. It would spit at you at the drop of a hat. Although the quantity was not large, the power was great.

Even some flying birds, when trying to catch these insects, are spit in the face and knocked down.

A little while later, many insects had been killed by this tactic, and the ants had already carried a lot of food back to their nest for storage.

Just as Zhao Zian was full of confidence and planning to take them all down, he suddenly felt dizzy again.

Goodness, this kind of precise control is indeed very mentally taxing.

Only under Zhao Zian's meticulous control could this tactic of sending them up one by one be executed.

If you give the ants a direct order to attack, they will swarm forward in a chaotic rush, and a single spit would likely kill quite a few ants.

Therefore, although such a simple command saves mental energy, it is still too much to bear with such consumption when there are only 500 ants in this phase.

It's okay if it takes a lot of mental energy; it's normal to be a bit tired in the early stages of development. It should get much better once you become stronger.

However, the mouse said that if you don't have enough mental strength, you can ask it for help.

Thinking of this, Zhao Zian turned his gaze to the rat.

The little mouse had already fallen asleep on his lap. It was indeed quite tired, having used spatial teleportation and mental energy to assist Zhao Zi'an.

Thinking of this, Zhao Zian sighed softly and did not disturb the rat.
