Su Manman ran back to the house shyly. Huo Qingyu saw her blushing face and the undisguised joy in her eyes and guessed who had come.
She turned off the TV, sat on the sofa with a stern face, and showed no intention of getting up.
Fu Yanzhu entered the room and said respectfully.
“Mrs. Huo, it is really presumptuous of me to bother you so late, but there are some things that I think are better discussed face to face.”
Huo Qingyu remained cold and did not invite Fu Yanzhu to sit down, a stark contrast to her usual warm attitude.
She glanced at Manman, then at her three sons who had just entered the room, and spoke softly.
"Manman, you go upstairs first."
"All of you, go up there too. I need to talk to Fu Yanzhu alone."
Su Manman looked at Fu Yanzhu with reluctance, her eyes filled with worry.
[Mom's so fierce! Will Fu Yanzhu be able to handle it? I'm a little worried, what should I do?!]
The three brothers walked over in unison to block Su Manman's view, pulling, dragging, or pushing her upstairs.

Huo Qingyu rubbed her temples. She knew that the children were eavesdropping at the top of the stairs on the second floor, but she didn't intend to stop them. Some things had to be discussed openly.
However, her youngest daughter's reaction left her somewhat frustrated.
Fu Yanzhu bowed again, his attitude full of sincerity.
"I'm sorry, I know I was wrong! But my feelings for Manman were genuine, and I don't regret anything I did!"
"Manman was drowning before, and I lost control in a moment of impulse and crossed that line!"
"Mrs. Huo may not know that my mother drowned back then, so I acted somewhat excessively after confirming that Manman was alright."
Huo Qingyu was slightly taken aback, not expecting such a thing to have happened, but thinking about it, it seemed to make sense.
"How could Manman have drowned?"
"When we went out, she was pushed off a cliff by a crazy woman. I've already taken care of that woman!"
When Fu Yanzhu said this, there was a hint of ruthlessness in his eyes. Huo Qingyu noticed it and stopped asking questions.
"Is this all you've come here to apologize for?"
"If so, then you can leave after dropping off the gift!"
Fu Yanzhu waved his hand, signaling someone to place the gift on the living room floor.
"Mrs. Huo, I have another important matter to discuss with you today!"
Fu Yanzhu bowed for the third time, adopting a very humble posture, and stated her purpose while bowing.
"Please marry Manman to me, I want to marry her!"
The three brothers stared wide-eyed. "You brat, you actually dared to say that!"
Su Manman smiled shyly, her smile as sweet as honey.
When Huo Qingyu heard him say that, her gaze toward Fu Yanzhu became even more satisfied.
After having physical intimacy with Manman, he knew to take responsibility immediately, which is not bad!
"Please sit down, and we can talk slowly."
Fu Yanzhu was pleased to see that Huo Qingyu's attitude had softened and thanked her.
"Thank you, Madam Huo!"
Huo Qingyu smiled gently, but her voice was still somewhat cold.
"What are you thanking me for? I just asked you to sit down and chat, I didn't say I'd marry Manman to you!"
Fu Yanzhu: "You asked me to sit down, which is giving me this opportunity, isn't it?!"

Fu Yanzhu's smile froze.
"Four or five years, isn't that too long?!"
Seeing him like this, Huo Qingyu inexplicably felt relieved.
"If you're willing to wait until you're 24 to get married, then I'll agree to the marriage!"
Fu Yanzhu forced a smile and spoke with difficulty.
"Okay, I agree! In that case, how about Manman and I get engaged first?!"
"Can!"
