(I've reset this book to avoid being accused of shamelessly trying to ride the wave of popularity.)
(See you in the new book)
Time travel is rare and strange, witchcraft, immortals and mysteries abound, science and technology are light, history is short, the military is at the end, and martial arts are everywhere. The soul is transformed into flesh and then into a vessel, and intelligence can be used to change one's fate. These four sentences clearly summarize the beginning of the group of time travelers. No matter how they change, the essence remains the same: time travel.
So when Qin Ying first learned that he had transmigrated and that things were alright for the time being, his first priority was to learn about this world. He did not take over his own memories because he found that this was something he could accept. Unless the situation was urgent, he did not take any risks.
It's better not to know, because once you do, you'll be shocked. Humans struggle to survive, the environment deteriorates, and alien beasts invade. Great, a standard post-apocalyptic setting. Human society is centered around cities, with families and associations governed by the heavens. Genetic abilities are a supernatural system. Great, this is a dangerous world where you can't be reckless and you should play it safe.
After giving a brief assessment of his background, Qin Ying turned his attention to himself. Good heavens, he had a rare start for a transmigrator—a life of immense wealth and privilege, and even rarer among the wealthy and privileged. He was a spoiled and arrogant young master who roamed the streets, bullied women, and acted with arrogance and domineering wickedness.
From murder and arson without reason, bringing disaster to entire families, to extreme extravagance and bullying of men and women, this guy has done it all. Relying on his family being one of the top seven in the Eastern faction, and being born with a silver spoon in his mouth as the eldest son of the family, with his father being the family patriarch and his elders doting on him, and his extremely secure position due to certain reasons, he has been living a carefree and happy life. Hmm... if he were in that kind of environment, he probably wouldn't be able to live like this.
Ah, the original owner of this body wasn't always carefree. After publicly NTR'd someone, the victim, perhaps due to the extreme trauma, awakened a retaliatory ability on the spot, directly exchanging blows for the original owner, severely injuring and killing them. That's when this transmigrator arrived.
So here's the problem: unfortunately, Qin Ying isn't the original owner of this body, nor did he grow up in this kind of environment. He might be able to play the role of an ordinary playboy, since he can just lie around, but how can he play the role of a wicked young master that people both fear and hate, and do evil things?
But if he doesn't play the role, who knows if he'll be seen through and suspected in this world with superpowers and extraordinary abilities? And as a spoiled brat, wouldn't it be too inconsistent with his character if he didn't immediately start killing to vent his anger when he first woke up? Would he be dissected?
Then he got scared, terrified of death. Having just been reborn, he didn't want his life to end so soon, so in a panic he chose to accept the original owner's memories. He solved some problems, but new ones arose, and he only managed to solve them today.
"Young Master, are you alright? Would you like something to eat first?"
As the vehicle moved smoothly forward, Qin Ying, who was lost in memories, was brought back to her senses and saw a pair of concerned, emerald-green eyes watching her.
"No need. I'm more concerned about how long it will take to get there."
Lilith, his contracted maid, is someone he can relatively trust. Or rather, everyone in this car is someone he can temporarily shed his disguise for, whether it's the driver or the protector sitting in the passenger seat.
"If you follow the traffic rules, it takes two hours to get from the inner city to the outer city. Today's duty officer is someone from the association."
In today's world, the city is jointly governed by families and associations. However, as the saying goes, there cannot be two suns in the sky, nor can there be one master for everything. This has resulted in the two sides not being very close. Those on the association side naturally mean that they are not close to the family side.
Even the original owner of this body rarely made mistakes in such matters, and Qin Ying would naturally not cause trouble unless necessary, but things are different now.
[Already surrounded]
Looking at the message being sent to his phone, Qin Ying knew that the person involved was crucial to his upcoming plans, and he couldn't afford any mishaps.
"When the police arrive or the emperor arrives, all civilians should step aside; if they do not, run them over."
Qin Ying turned off his phone, closed his eyes, and simply said this sentence. The maid looked thoughtful and didn't say anything more, but the two people in the front seats said the next sentence.
"Alright, young master, if I don't deliver it to you within twenty minutes, I'll take your head off."
"Number Four, someone is really blocking the way, so I'll have to trouble you."
As a lecherous young master, there would be absolutely no male by his side. Naturally, the driver and the guards were also women. The one driving had a high black ponytail and was dressed in a servant's uniform, which gave her a somewhat heroic and androgynous air. The only thing that clearly revealed her identity was her bulging chest.
In the passenger seat was an unremarkable woman with black hair and a closed curtain. She was Qin Ying's protector, specially assigned by his father after Qin Ying was in danger. She was very powerful, comparable to someone with a fifth-level gene and a sixth-level superpower. Before the apocalypse, she was someone who could single-handedly destroy a small country.
"I will obey the young master's orders."
Her emotionless responses were a personal trait. As a dispatched protector, she didn't need much emotion; all she needed to do was protect and obey.
Thus, this hovercar, which was originally stable and avoided by many vehicles, began to accelerate by spewing flames from its rear end under the command of a faster speed.
It's worth mentioning that even with a gap in the middle, the traffic here is not congested or noisy, and the drivers' movements are so skilled that it's almost heartbreaking.
However, as warning black dragon-shaped signs rose up along the roadside, accompanied by sharp warning sounds, the previously orderly vehicles became chaotic. All the cars began to move towards the open spaces around them, trying to make room for other vehicles on the road.
