Volume One is finished!

They possess the essence of a well-ordered system and are constantly growing, which means that the living range of their civilizations will continue to expand before the expansion ends.

But this growth has its limitations. For a tree, when the data of a world becomes stagnant and difficult to recover, it will be replaced by new leaves, while the old leaves will be accepted by the sea, becoming a wisp of the many old bubbles, and thus losing its future.

The metabolism of life and the renewal of consciousness are commonplace, but for a tree, the existence of consciousness needs to be considered. However, it is undeniable that when faced with its own flourishing branches and leaves, and the engulfment of the sea, it is a different story.

Trees then face the problem of fully utilizing nutrients and resisting the sea. While the presence of many leaves helps increase the size of the tree, it also increases the tree's energy consumption.

Compared to the sea that devours everything, trees have to pay the price of growth. Therefore, a selection mechanism exists for the leaves on their bodies. For most leaf civilizations, its name is different, but what remains unchanged is that it considers the civilization within the leaf. In the process of selection, it is also a system that controls growth.

Civilizations are the greatest help to the growth of information volume in a tree, but they are also the main objects of the tree's nutrient consumption. To put it more specifically, they are more like developing fruits that face elimination at any time before they mature.

Failed civilizations return to the sea with their leaves, while successful civilizations rise to become fruits, becoming part of the tree, hanging at the very front of the branches. Then, based on these fruits, new trees are born. They will be the foundation for the tree's expansion and also the protection the tree will have against the sea's erosion.

The appearance of fruit gives rise to new trees, and the new trees will lead to the appearance of more fruit. As the tree that grows from this fruit, it will inherit everything about this fruit and replicate new fruit based on it.

Each fruit is from the same starting point, but each tree represents a different starting point. In the complex and intertwined growth, they become an endless forest. The trees that grow from different fruits are called a grove.

A tree has a beginning, and its growth extends from near to far. This means that each leaf has a beginning and an end, and its life journey is faithfully recorded by the tree. Growth is irreversible.

For the advancement of leaves, this is the ideal state of development without interference. In reality, in addition to selection, the threats faced by leaves include the covetousness of nutrients from other leaf civilizations, the gnawing of alien life belonging to the tree, the pounding of the sea, and the twisting and breaking caused by entangled growth, all of which can lead to the falling of leaves, and even the falling of the tree.

However, it is worth mentioning that leaf growth is not solely determined by the tree. The information mutations carried by alien life forms on the tree, whether actively or passively, the interference from civilizations with advanced power and authority, and even the extremely rare information mutations, can all lead to different developments of leaves growing on the same tree. In fact, completely identical leaves do not exist.

A grove of trees, a system, differs from the complexity of the sea; trees are more unified, and more mechanical.

Beasts and Machines:

In terms of power, the sea takes the form of a beast, while the tree takes the form of a machine. This is determined by the attributes of the two systems. Compared to the chaotic and disorderly sea, the orderly tree seems to possess a more refined aesthetic.
