[Player Wendy Resurrects]

[Player Wendy, died from [baboon]]

…………

Half an hour later, Wendy completely gave up on resurrection and floated in the air. The cute white ghost body hung its head, and depression could be seen in its cute eyes.

It's not that she doesn't want to live anymore, but... she was killed again soon after she was resurrected! And she died faster and faster!

When Wendy first saw this group of baboons, she immediately felt like she was facing a formidable enemy - the fear of being surrounded and beaten by monkeys when playing Don't Starve came back to her!

The monkeys in Don't Starve are quite annoying creatures. They'll steal your belongings and deal quite a bit of damage. Even though they don't have a lot of health, they often appear in large numbers, causing a lot of trouble for the player.

And now... what appears is an enhanced version of the monkey - the baboon!

The planning team is truly inhumane! Monkeys are troublesome enough, and now they've added a baboon whose lethality is doubled and whose size is doubled! Is this the price she pays for getting her adult and invincibility mods? Tell her about the dangers of the world and that just because her sister is invincible doesn't mean she's invincible?

Wendy was already quite alert and immediately took out the Flower of Abigail. When she was about to summon her sister to fight the group of baboons, she was attacked.

As luck would have it, the Flower of Abigail in her hand was stolen, and the summoning was interrupted.

Even though she was wearing wooden armor, two fists were no match for four hands. Wendy's own attack power was very weak and her health was not high, so she was killed by the group of baboons in an instant.

She watched with heartache as the group of baboons rushed over to pick up all the things that had just been knocked down, and then resurrected them on her corpse... Then the group of baboons appeared out of nowhere and beat her to death again.

This time, because the wooden armor that served as protection had exploded, she had no defense value and died faster.

It's not that Wendy doesn't want revenge, but Abigail's Flower was stolen. To remake Abigail's Flower, she needs Mourning Glory and Nightmare Fuel. The latter is easy to solve, just lower your sanity value to fight shadow creatures... But for the former, she hasn't found Little Fright yet, and without Mourning Glory, she can't make Abigail's Flower again.

Because she didn't have Abigail's flower and couldn't summon Abigail, she was always a weakling and couldn't fight off the baboons that were running around and attacking people. She died again and again, and each time part of the items in her backpack were taken away, and her life became more and more blank...

In the end, Wendy had completely given up and just kept patrolling the island in ghost mode.

Whatever, I'm not going to live anymore! The dragon isn't far away, so I'll go find him, revive him, and have him kill all these baboons! Then I'll take back my Abigail flower! Next time, she'll make sure Abigail is always by her side! She'll never let Abigail rest again!

But before that, since we are here, let’s take a look at this island.

Generally speaking, with so many baboons here, it would be like the Monkey Island in previous games, there must be special items there!

Wendy thought so and began to wander around the island in her ghost form.

The island had traces of human habitation, but it looked deserted, with traces of war left everywhere. There was also a huge castle in the center, which looked like it must have been a prosperous place in the past.

And judging by the situation inside, the time interval between the war that led to the destruction of the country and the desolation of the people was not long. This was the same as what Garp had told her before.

Except for baboons.

At this moment, Wendy had a vague guess about the group of baboons who seemed like a fighting race and could beat her to death with just two hits - could it be... that the group of baboons killed the last human?

The baboons would probably protest Wendy's speculation if they knew about it—they were so strong in martial virtue simply because they watched the humans on the island fight and followed their example. How could it be that the Tiangang became the main force in the war?

However, they didn't know what Wendy was thinking, so they were still happily dividing up Wendy's stolen items, including the Abigail flower.

Wendy actually thinks the terrain of this island is pretty good. It looks quite flat, and there are buildings, minerals, trees and grass. The flat land looks very suitable for farming, and most importantly, the temperature is suitable!

The problem is that there are too many baboons... Let's revive them first! Then let Long accompany us to find the baboon who stole Abigail's flower and take back what belongs to us! Then summon Abigail to kill!

Kill them all... No, leave a few. Baboons should drop bananas and meat when killed, just like monkeys. This way, they can reproduce. When you run out of meat, go kill another wave! Make them your permanent food source!

Wendy was filled with murderous intent and was about to float away to revive herself when she discovered someone coming to the island.

A question popped up in Wendy's head. Who else would come here besides herself? Could it be someone still alive in this kingdom?

She floated over and found that it was someone she had seen before - the person she had seen on the sea during her first death drift, the one who seemed to have keenly discovered the location of her ghost body and was chasing pirates.

The reason why she had an impression was because the other person's eyes left a deep impression on her. After all, it was a human being who scared her as a ghost.

Just like the last time they met, he was still alone. He had also been attacked by baboons since arriving on the island, but his alertness and fighting ability were clearly several notches higher than Wendy's, and he quickly defeated the baboons.

Or rather, he was completely defeated - the other party looked like a very powerful swordsman.

This group of ferocious baboons were also very sensible and immediately surrendered. They also offered offerings there very tactfully - basically all of Wendy's things, including the Abigail flower.

Wendy was furious. Okay! When she resurrects, not a single one will be left alive! She's going to wipe out all of them! Kill them all! Use the bananas and meat to make meat! And use the poop to irrigate the land!

However, the black-haired youth seemed uninterested in the spoils the baboons presented. After they dropped their items and fled, he simply frowned, perplexed at these items clearly meant for human use. All of these human items... were they relics of the people who came before this kingdom? But why were there navy cloaks? Could it be that the navy had intervened in a previous kingdom war?

The black-haired young man was puzzled for a moment, then stopped paying attention. Instead, he subconsciously looked somewhere. After staring at it for a while, his brows furrowed even deeper. "Is this an illusion..."

In the direction he was looking, Ghost Wendy was spinning in circles.

Maybe it was because she was familiar with the other person, this time she was not scared even though she felt that the other person seemed to be able to detect her. Instead, she walked over to look at the other person curiously.

Because he couldn't see her presence, the black-haired young man quickly ignored this strange thing and began to get busy on the island.

He seemed to want to settle on the island and started to clean it up. After defeating the baboon, he also started to clean up the castle, as if he was arranging a place to live.

Wendy stared at him for a long time, and only came to her senses after he had tidied up his own room. She realized that the baboons were quiet now and would not ambush her again. She quickly wandered around the castle, randomly found a relatively intact corpse, possessed it, and chose to resurrect.

She needs to be resurrected quickly! First, get back the items she dropped, especially the most important Abigail's Flower!

***

The man who came to this island was named Djorkol Mihawk, also known as "Hawkeye Mihawk" because his sharp eyes were like an eagle's eyes. He was also a well-known swordsman, and was even known as "the world's greatest swordsman."

Besides being a swordsman, he also has the nickname "Navy Hunter." As the name suggests, he's known for hunting down marines. This behavior stems from past betrayals, which have left him with a deep hatred for the navy.

He was tired of fighting, and since his friend lost his arm, he couldn't spar with him anymore. He felt bored and wanted to live in seclusion. He came to Kraikana Island because he heard that the original Kingdom of Sikeari on the island had been destroyed in war and was now deserted.

Hawkeye is different from other pirates. He has no interest in calling friends and prefers to be alone. He is a lone wolf. Even his ship is a small one-person ship. Now he wants to settle down somewhere, and Kraikana Island is a good choice.

After arriving on the island, he also carried out a series of cleanings and tidied up the rooms for his own use in the castle... Then he heard a slight movement.

This sound was different from the commotion caused by the baboons before. Thinking of the gaze he noticed when he first entered the castle, Hawkeye immediately became alert and followed the sound... Then, he saw Wendy who had just been resurrected beside the pile of bones.

Staring at the seemingly fragile blond girl before him, Hawkeye took in her pretty face, then her attire, a wave of confusion washed over him. How could there still be a living being on this island? Could it be a remnant of the Kingdom of Sikaiari? And why had they appeared in the castle, showing no fear beside these corpses... Could they be royalty? Was this corpse her relative?

It was also because of this speculation that Hawkeye did not take any action to expel the other party. After all, they were the original residents of this place.

But he had already chosen this place to stay, and this place was in line with his heart, so he would not leave...

Hawkeye thought for a moment and asked, "Are you a member of the royal family of the Kingdom of Xikaiali?"

Wendy, who had just been resurrected, was stunned for a moment, her face a little bewildered: "Really?"

So she has this kind of background setting?

...She doesn't seem very bright. Perhaps the horrors of the previous war frightened her, or perhaps that's why she's the sole survivor?

Hawkeye guessed and suggested, "I've chosen this place as my future residence. We can each have half."

Hawkeye had no intention of bullying the little girl; he thought the proposal was perfectly reasonable. He believed that with him around, the island would at least be safe, and it would also be beneficial for the orphans of the kingdom... He was merely occupying the land; the kingdom had no treasures left besides the abandoned castle, and he hadn't plundered anything.

Of course, if the girl refused, he wouldn't just leave.

Wendy listened, her eyes widening in surprise—what?! This was the first time an NPC hadn't wanted to leave, but had offered to stay and build a home with me! Was this some kind of special plot? An NPC assigned specifically to the player's home? Like those little island animals in O-Forest?

Then Wendy smiled, her smile bright, and joy overflowed from her tone, as if little flowers were blooming all around her.

"Okay," she replied, jogging over to him and looking at him curiously. "I'm Wendy Carter... but according to your custom, I should be Carter Wendy. Just call me Wendy! What's your name?"

Hawkeye took a small step back and looked down at her, "Joracle Mihawk."

The author has something to say: Congratulations to our hero and heroine for finally meeting successfully! [Cai Gou]

PS: My biggest pet peeve in Don't Starve is encountering underground monkeys... especially when they knock your miner's hat off. It's pitch black, and there's no way to resurrect! Abigail's stolen flower is often licked off by frogs above ground. Frogs are awesome. They'll even kill the whole group if they ask for help during the spring rain.
