Chen Zhou leaped between the branches, quickly putting distance between himself and the dark figure behind him.

Landing on a distant branch, Chen Zhou was surprised to find that the Root of Reading within his dantian was now shining brightly, recklessly absorbing the dark shadow within his dantian.
Soon, a small opening was made in the dark shadow within Chen Zhou's dantian, and a lot of golden-white true energy immediately shot out from this small opening. Chen Zhou immediately used this shooting out true energy to protect his earlobe.
"This... the root of the poisonous tree actually has this miraculous effect... it actually absorbed the shadow and transformed it into true energy!" Chen Zhou said in surprise.

Several dark figures rushed towards Chen Zhou, but were immediately drawn to him by the attraction around him and slowly disappeared from his body.
The dark shadows that had disappeared from Chen Zhou's body all reappeared in Chen Zhou's dantian.
Then the roots of the poisonous tree began to operate again, continuously absorbing the appearing shadows.
