After the lightning strike, everyone immediately became wary of the black demonic energy vortex behind them, fearing that they would be the next targets of that lightning.
Indeed, anyone would be wary of the lightning behind them. Even Chen Zhou was no exception. If struck by that lightning, he would suffer the same fate as the man from before—a charred corpse. The body would then be recovered by the Demon City, leaving only a token.

The light emitted by Chen Zhou's rootless fire was the light of flames, but this light was true light, the light that came from lightning.
“Continuing to be afraid like this isn’t a solution; we’ll just be slowly killed by that lightning,” the middle-aged merchant said slowly.
The middle-aged vendor was right; that was the situation. No matter how fast they crawled, they couldn't get rid of it.
Lightning was already brewing within the black vortex of demonic energy. Once fully formed, the lightning could strike any one of them. Therefore, the lightning could attack whomever it wanted, essentially allowing it to target and kill any member of the Advanced Alliance.
That feeling wouldn't be pleasant for anyone.
Moreover, in such a united and progressive alliance, no one wants anyone else to die.
"Do you have any other ideas?" Tie Dao asked. At this moment, Tie Dao was deeply saddened, because his own incompetence had led to the deaths of his trusted men. He still needed to rely on Chen Zhou and the middle-aged merchant within the alliance.

As soon as he finished speaking, the members of the Advanced Alliance crawling ahead immediately stopped, their eyes burning as they looked at the railway.
"Yes! He's right, wherever the leader is, that's where we'll be!" the members of the advanced alliance said in unison.
"I am your leader, and you must obey my orders. My order now is for you to crawl forward as fast as you can and ignore me," the railway worker said directly.
The members of the advanced alliance were now frozen in place, while the demonic vortex behind them continued to advance. They were simply waiting for the vortex to approach; staying here was definitely not the best course of action. Tie Dao was also getting anxious, because everyone had stopped.
"Crawl forward immediately," the middle-aged merchant said. The vortex of demonic energy behind them was rapidly approaching.
It seems we can only proceed as we go.
"Crawl forward immediately," the railway worker shouted.
As soon as the railway engineer finished speaking, everyone immediately turned around and crawled forward. Only after everyone had crawled forward did the railway engineer resume its crawling motion. They also began to crawl forward.
This fulfilled the railway's own wish, leaving it at the very back.
"Railway, I know what you're thinking," Chen Zhou said to Railway behind him, also feeling scared.
