Chapter 254 False Light

"Chief, what do we do now? We can't get through this. These are walls like these on both sides of us," the advanced alliance member next to him continued to ask.

Chen Zhou was also quite angry. He thought he was about to leave the teleportation channel, but it turned out they had been tricked.

In a fit of anger, Chen Zhou ripped the pearl off the wall and clutched it tightly in his hand. He had never seen such a pearl before, one that could emit such a bright light. However, after he took it off, it slowly dimmed. Just then, Chen Zhou noticed a small hole in the wall where the pearl had been.

The small hole was actually in the wall. Chen Zhou immediately peered through it and realized he could see the other side of the wall through the hole! Chen Zhou was immediately shocked and moved even closer.

Chen Zhou leaned closer, hoping to see more through the small hole, but to his surprise, all he saw was darkness. He could even clearly feel demonic energy rushing toward his eyes.

It was his own eye, placed over that small hole, that was now being constantly assaulted by the demonic energy!

Chen Zhou winced in pain and immediately pulled his head out of the hole, moving it away from the opening! When Chen Zhou had approached it, he had sensed the concentration of demonic energy within it—even higher than the concentration of demonic energy in the sacred chamber on the ninth floor!

The area behind that small hole is filled with demonic energy, and the pearl stopped shining as soon as it left that hole. Could it be that the pearl was lit up by using demonic energy?

Chen Zhou couldn't help but wonder.

The pearl was lit by demonic energy, and everything behind it was demonic energy. At this moment, Chen Zhou squinted at the small hole and fell into deep thought.

Seeing this small hole shattered a belief Chen Zhou held: the walls of this teleportation tunnel were impenetrable. But upon seeing the hole, Chen Zhou slowly abandoned that notion.

It seems that the wall of this teleportation tunnel can be broken, right? What would happen if Chen Zhou led the Advanced Alliance to smash open this wall blocking their way?

What troubled Chen Zhou the most was that the middle-aged merchant was still unconscious. Otherwise, Chen Zhou would have already sent the merchant out to sense the teleportation channel. If they happened to be at the end of the teleportation channel, then the world beyond this wall would very likely be the eighth level.

If the middle-aged merchants sensed that this wasn't the end of the teleportation tunnel, it would be even more understandable; they hadn't reached the real destination yet, so they should smash through the wall even more.

This way they can continue forward and pass through the teleportation tunnel.

"Everyone stay put and rest! Wait for our partner to wake up." Chen Zhou immediately knew what he should do. All he had to do now was stay quietly and wait for the middle-aged merchant to wake up.

Upon hearing Chen Zhou's words, everyone immediately sat down on the spot and then turned their attention to themselves.

Chen Zhou sat down and leaned against the wall to rest. He had lost track of how much time had passed since entering this teleportation tunnel. After all, there was no clear distinction between day and night within this tunnel. At least on the ninth level, there was a dividing line separating day and night.

The portal has been extremely dark ever since we entered it. We had just managed to see some light, but it has now disappeared.

So the teleportation tunnel was plunged into darkness again. Chen Zhou immediately released a wisp of rootless fire to illuminate the surroundings; otherwise, they would be in complete darkness.

"Leader, what should we do after he wakes up?" Someone from the Advanced Alliance, who was quite worried, stepped forward and asked Chen Zhou.

Chen Zhou looked the man up and down, but couldn't recall him. He then replied, "Only he can sense this teleportation channel. None of us can, so we can only wait for him to wake up."

The man nodded slowly, his eyes filled with unconcealed worry. Chen Zhou didn't know what he was worried about, so he immediately asked, "What's wrong?"

"Are we unable to get through this teleportation portal?"

These words made Chen Zhou fall into deep thought. It was understandable that the people in the Advanced Alliance had such questions. In the current situation, anyone would be curious about whether they could pass through this teleportation channel.

To be honest, Chen Zhou was also at a loss, and he didn't know whether he could leave this teleportation channel or not.

"Given the current situation, I don't know either, and you don't need to worry. Let's wait for him to wake up before making any plans," Chen Zhou said slowly.

The man slowly nodded and returned to his place. Chen Zhou glanced at him, and the disappointment on his face was unmistakable.

Just as Chen Zhou was talking to that person, the middle-aged merchant slowly opened his eyes. He opened his eyes to find himself in this scene. What had happened? Had the Flame Advancement Alliance successfully dodged it?

Or is this paradise? Have all the members of the Advanced Alliance come here to keep him company?

"You're awake?" Chen Zhou noticed that the middle-aged merchant had opened his eyes, so he immediately asked. The middle-aged merchant nodded and sat up from his seat. He had been lying next to Chen Zhou the whole time, and when he woke up, he saw Chen Zhou talking to the advanced alliance member.

"What's going on?" the middle-aged vendor asked, still confused about what had happened. He looked at Chen Zhou with curiosity.
