Chapter 26 Xingyi Cloud Sword

This Xingyi Cloud Sword is the introductory move of the Sword Cloud Technique. Only by mastering this move can one truly begin learning the Sword Cloud Technique.

Some of the Sword Cloud Sect's seniors were unable to grasp the meaning of this move, which prevented them from continuing their studies.

This led to the Sword Cloud Technique, which was originally open to the entire sect, becoming increasingly rare. Only a portion of the vast sect was able to learn it, and gradually, this sword technique became something that only those with a strong foundation in the Sword Cloud Sect could learn.

Chen Zhou gripped the heavy sword tightly, and suddenly a little figure appeared in his mind, slowly swinging the Xingyi Cloud Sword. Chen Zhou followed the little figure step by step, performing each movement one by one.

With the sword energy within his body, Chen Zhou made rapid progress and was soon able to wield the Xingyi Cloud Sword swiftly.

However, Chen Zhou's Xingyi Cloud Sword was merely a figment of his imagination; he probably wouldn't be able to use it effectively in actual combat.

"The first step of Xingyi Cloud Sword is to understand the sword intent!" The sect leader kept waving the divine sword in his hand, and the move was the same move that appeared in Chen Zhou's mind.

That is the Xingyi Cloud Sword.

Chen Zhou couldn't see where the sect leader's sword was pointing at all. Every time he clearly saw where the sword was pointing, it would disappear in an instant and strike in another direction.

Chen Zhou practiced the movements with the sect leader. Although the sect leader did them very quickly, Chen Zhou could stay still and wait for the sect leader to do the next round. This went on and on, and Chen Zhou practiced again and again.

In the later rounds, the sword energy within Chen Zhou's body began to overflow, manifesting itself the moment Chen Zhou drew his sword.

That was sword energy!

Chen Zhou was overjoyed. Although the sword energy was not his own, it was indeed something he had wielded.

As the sword energy within his body was expelled, Chen Zhou straightened up and was surprised to find that all the wounds on his body had healed completely.

The current Chen Zhou is the Chen Zhou in his prime, wielding the Heavy Edge Sword. Before, it required a lot of strength to lift the Heavy Edge Sword, but now he can lift it without feeling as awkward as before.

As Chen Zhou's body recovered, the true energy of the great formation gradually dissipated, and the Sword Cloud Refinement was completed.

Just then, Chen Zhou unleashed the Xingyi Cloud Sword, and the Heavy Edge Sword began to tremble violently, emanating a powerful suction force.

This suction force not only pulled at the true energy within Chen Zhou's body, but also tightly gripped his hand, as if trying to suck out his soul.

"Sizzle sizzle sizzle..."

Chen Zhou painfully bent his arm. The suction force was too strong, and Chen Zhou was powerless to resist it. Although he was already in the early stage of Foundation Establishment and his body had undergone two powerful cleansings, he still could not withstand the suction force.

Seeing Chen Zhou bend his arm in pain, the Third Elder rushed over first.

"This, this is a soul weapon recognizing its master!" the Third Elder exclaimed in shock.

He knew very well what would happen if a Soul Weapon recognized its master. The five elemental swords in the hands of their first five elders were all Soul Weapons, and they all needed to go through the process of recognizing their master.

However, only the Grand Elder among them passed the Soul Weapon Recognition process, while the rest failed, which means that their positions as elders can be changed at any time.

Of the five Soul Weapon Swords, only one person successfully recognized a Soul Weapon as their master, which demonstrates just how rare and difficult it is for a Soul Weapon to do so. Moreover, the strength of the five elders is beyond question.

"Third brother! Stop! This opportunity can only be achieved by himself!" The First Elder rushed over and stopped the Third Elder's next move. He knew that the Third Elder wanted to help Chen Zhou.

Hearing this, Chen Zhou felt even more upset. They wouldn't even let him help? What kind of "recognition of a master" was this?

The pain at this moment was even more unbearable than the Sword Cloud Body Refinement he had just endured. The powerful suction force not only left him completely defenseless, but also instantly drained most of his true energy, making Chen Zhou even more powerless to resist.

Chen Zhou had no choice but to sit cross-legged. Because one of his hands was being pulled, he couldn't hold the heavy sword flat with one hand, so he had to use both hands to hold it.

As soon as his other hand touched it, another suction force quickly came, and Chen Zhou's two arms were tightly sucked onto the heavy sword.

"The soul weapon recognizes its master. How could Chen Zhou, who is only at the Foundation Establishment stage, withstand such a pull?"

The Third Elder looked at Chen Zhou's pained expression with anxiety and worry.

"This is his destiny. How many of you seven have managed to draw out the soul weapon and recognize it as your master?" The sect leader stopped swinging his sword, and the golden-patterned longsword in his hand disappeared. He then slowly walked towards Chen Zhou.

Yes, it is extremely rare for a Soul Weapon to recognize its master, and it is even rarer to be able to do so.

Basically, only one in a thousand people can trigger the Soul Weapon to recognize its master, and only one in ten thousand can successfully recognize the Soul Weapon as its master.

This clearly demonstrates the difficulties and challenges involved.

Of the seven elders, only three managed to get the Soul Weapon to recognize its master: the First Elder, the Second Elder, and the Third Elder.

Of the three, only one successfully recognized the Soul Weapon as its master.

Chen Zhou reappeared in a closed, azure world, which resembled an ocean.

Hello, young man.

A heavy voice came from the azure world.

Chen Zhou was startled. Wasn't he just practicing sword cloud body tempering in that cave? How did he suddenly end up in this godforsaken place?

"Young man, don't worry. This is your spiritual world; your physical body is still in that cave."

The voice came again.

The spiritual world?

What is that?

Chen Zhou was completely confused.

"You can't understand this for now, but simply put, it's the place where your soul resides."

Chen Zhou didn't say a word, but the somewhat aged voice answered his questions one after another. Could it be that the person who made the voice could know what he was thinking?

"That's right, I can know what you're thinking. From this day forward, this will be my home."

That aged voice answered Chen Zhou's question once again.

His home?

Isn't this my own mental world? He wants to live here? Does that mean this person, like the previous ghost, wants to possess me?

But I didn't see him use any moves to trap himself.

"Young man, don't think nonsense. I am the 'Sword Spirit of the Heavy Edge Sword' you're talking about."
