After speaking, Chen Zhou prepared to leave, but the middle-aged merchant beside him immediately asked, "Where are you going?"
Upon hearing this question, Chen Zhou immediately realized that he had arrived in a completely unfamiliar place and still had a night to spend. Where should he go? After a moment's thought, it seemed that he did indeed need the middle-aged merchant's help to arrange a room for him.
Chen Zhou hadn't had a good night's sleep in a long time, and now he especially wanted to get a good night's rest.
"I don't know either, it depends on where you've arranged for me," Chen Zhou immediately turned around and said to the middle-aged merchant.
The middle-aged vendor nodded and smiled, "I thought you didn't need me to arrange accommodations and were leaving soon?"
Chen Zhou could only scratch his head sheepishly and say, "I almost forgot about that."
Afterwards, the middle-aged merchant led Chen Zhou and Yuan Ziyi to a place of residence and gave them a room next to each other. Without saying a word, Chen Zhou opened the door and went in. He closed the door and immediately lay down on the bed and fell fast asleep. His movements were very smooth.
Yuan Ziyi smiled and nodded, expressing her gratitude to the middle-aged merchant, before entering her room.
Chen Zhou didn't tell Yuan Ziyi when they would depart tomorrow, which meant that they could leave anytime tomorrow, and Chen Zhou could sleep a little longer.
After arranging things for the two people, the middle-aged merchant turned and left, returning to his residence. He then took out a map of the area and began to study it carefully. Their residence was quite large, covering a wide area.
Therefore, if middle-aged vendors want to manage this place well, they must first become familiar with it.
Better management is possible only when one is familiar with the subject.
In a daze, Chen Zhou didn't know how long he had slept. When he woke up, he was surprised to find that it was already daylight. Since there was a window in Chen Zhou's room, his eyes had been exposed to the glaring light for a long time.
Chen Zhou's eyes were already enhanced by the pupil technique. Although he hadn't used it for a long time, the pupil technique had already transformed his eyes, making them very sensitive to light and small objects.
"It's so late..." After waking up, Chen Zhou quickly tidied up and went outside. He saw that there were already people coming and going outside. These people were all strong middle-aged men, all of whom were now members of the Advanced Alliance.
Chen Zhou knew, of course, that Yuan Ziyi lived next door, so he prepared to go and call her.
Chen Zhou originally thought that Yuan Ziyi should get up earlier than him, right? Unexpectedly, Yuan Ziyi was actually later than him. Not only was she later, but he even had to wake her up.
Just as Chen Zhou was about to knock on the door, a voice came from behind him.
"Good morning, Chief!"
It was the voice of a young boy. Chen Zhou immediately stopped what he was doing as he was about to knock on the door, and turned around to see a boy standing behind him, looking at him straight.
"Hello... who are you?" Chen Zhou asked the boy curiously.
The boy looked very young, but his height was almost the same as Chen Zhou's, although he looked quite immature.
"I was assigned by the deputy leader. I'll go and inform him as soon as you wake up," the boy said innocently.
Upon hearing this, Chen Zhou immediately nodded, realizing that if he was going to inform him, why was this young man still standing there instead of going to inform him?
"Then why aren't you going to inform them?" Chen Zhou said.
As soon as Chen Zhou finished speaking, the boy immediately realized something, turned around and ran away, not forgetting to say as he did so, "Ah! Right! Goodbye, leader!"
Watching the boy's figure gradually disappear into the distance, Chen Zhou realized that this boy was quite interesting. If the new blood in the Advanced Alliance were like him, then the future of the Advanced Alliance wouldn't be so worrying.
After the boy left, Chen Zhou immediately knocked on the door behind him. After knocking, he heard the door open from inside, and Chen Zhou saw Yuan Ziyi.
Yuan Ziyi had finished getting ready and was just about to open the door when she heard Chen Zhou knocking.
"You got up so early?" Yuan Ziyi looked at Chen Zhou in surprise.
"Don't I look like I got up that early?" Chen Zhou retorted.
“I couldn’t tell from your lazy appearance,” Yuan Ziyi replied.
Lazy?
Chen Zhou immediately glanced at his body, even feeling like he wanted to look in a mirror. Did he look lazy? Or was he supposed to be a sunny and positive young man?
"He'll be back soon to pick us up for breakfast, and then we'll set off," Chen Zhou said.
“Breakfast? It should be lunch.” Yuan Ziyi glanced at the sky and said.
"How did you determine the time of lunch?" Chen Zhou asked subconsciously, because he didn't know how Yuan Ziyi determined the time.
Chen Zhou had been unaware of the concept of time since entering the Burning Grounds, let alone the Burning Grounds themselves. Now, upon hearing Yuan Ziyi speak of the concept of time again, Chen Zhou immediately became curious. Could it be that the concept of time exists within this eighth level?
"You haven't told me about the time on the eighth floor yet?" Yuan Ziyi asked with some surprise. Chen Zhou had been in this eighth floor for at least a day. The most magical thing about this eighth floor wasn't actually the crops and villages here! It was the day and night cycle! Think about it, if there were no alternation of day and night, where would these crops be?
