Glug glug...
The water in the pot has boiled.
Qin Huai cooked two large bowls of noodles and sat opposite Xu Xin, each eating heartily without saying a word.
Xu Xin was very hungry. She wolfed down her food and drank it all up, leaving not even a drop of soup.
She wiped her mouth and calmly asked, "Qin Huai, how did you get these injuries?"
Qin Huai asked, "Aren't you going to call me 'Young Master' anymore?"
Xu Xin snorted coldly.
The two had been locked in a fierce battle all afternoon, and their relationship progressed rapidly. Xu Xin was too lazy to be polite with Qin Huai anymore: "Your status as the eldest son of the Qin family means nothing to me. Tell me, how did you get these injuries?"
Qin Huai said calmly, "Fighting and brawling."
Are you insulting my intelligence?
Xu Xin's eyes flashed with a dangerous glint: "If you confess honestly, I might spare your life because you're good at it, otherwise..."
"You're addicted?"
Qin Huai chuckled lightly: "My skills are naturally good, but yours are far inferior, too inexperienced."
Xu Xin's face flushed red: "Do you really think I wouldn't dare to kill you?"
Before today, she had never even had a boyfriend, let alone any experience.
Qin Huai truly gave her a feeling of flying.
Regardless of their status, women will always have unusual feelings for their first man; it's unavoidable.
Xu Xin genuinely didn't want to kill Qin Huai.

Xu Xin gave Qin Huai a cold look and pointed to the coffee table drawer.
Qin Huai got up and went to the living room. He found an unopened pack of cigarettes in the coffee table drawer, took one out, lit it, took a deep drag, and slowly exhaled.
Xu Xin said, "And how did you get the gunshot wound? Don't tell me it was from a fight."
"No, that's not it. I was attacked a few years ago. There was an assassin who appeared out of nowhere and almost killed me."
Qin Huai wasn't lying; it really did happen.
Later investigation revealed that it was Qin Mushan's enemy who wanted to kill Qin Huai and ensure Qin Mushan's lineage would end.
However, the attack left Qin Huai with knife wounds rather than gunshot wounds.
Xu Xin was unaware of these things.
The truth and the falsehood are intertwined; judging from Qin Huai's tone and demeanor, one cannot discern the truth from the falsehood, and thus one believes it.
He thought to himself that being a second-generation rich kid wasn't easy, as they would encounter many life-threatening dangers that ordinary people never face.
"Is there anything else you want to ask? If not, I'm sleepy and want to go to bed." Qin Huai finished his cigarette, stubbed it out in the ashtray, and yawned.
"It's only a little past six."
"What's wrong with it being past six? You've been tired all afternoon, aren't you sleepy?"
Xu Xin blushed again.
The image of that mad, storm-like frenzy involuntarily flashed through my mind.
Under the influence of the drugs, her rationality was overwhelmed by impulse, but that did not mean she was unconscious.
The whole process was crystal clear and I understood it deeply.
Xu Xin was silent for a moment, then asked, "Aren't you going back?"
Qin Huai said angrily, "If I don't go back, Lu Qingxue will look at me like I'm an enemy. Do you remember the five-finger mark on my face when we first met? She did it."
Xu Xin fell silent again.
Just then, her phone rang.
Xu Xin picked up her phone, glanced at it, and answered the call: "Little sister, I'm restocking, so I won't be going home tonight... Don't worry, I'll be careful. You get some rest, bye."
"You have a younger sister? In Chongcheng?" Qin Huai asked curiously.
Xu Xin did not answer, but got up and walked upstairs.
"Where do I sleep?" Qin Huai asked.

Xu Xin went into her room without turning her head, and couldn't help but yawn.
After a whole afternoon of fussing, the effort was mutual.
Qin Huai was tired, and so was she.
Xu Xin lay down on the bed, turned off her phone, and prepared to sleep.
The door clicked open, and Qin Huai walked in.
Xu Xin was startled and looked up to see Qin Huai take off his clothes, lie down next to her, and pull her into his arms.
"What are you doing..."
Xu Xin's muscles were tense, making her appear somewhat nervous.
Qin Huai replied matter-of-factly, "Go to sleep."
"This is my room!"
"You said you'd let me sleep wherever I wanted, so I'll sleep here."
Xu Xin said in a deep voice, "Get out."
Qin Huai closed his eyes, buried his head in Xu Xin's shoulder, and mumbled, "Don't make a fuss, I'm so sleepy, let's talk tomorrow."
These words left Xu Xin in a daze.
Even though it was only our second meeting today, it felt like we were an old married couple who had been together for many years.
A moment later, Xu Xin heard Qin Huai's soft snoring.
She stared at the ceiling, wide awake, unable to fall asleep despite being very tired.
Today feels like a dream.
She was inexplicably tricked, and this man inexplicably came home with her and is now lying in her bed.
The warm chest and embrace felt so real.
Listening to Qin Huai's snoring, Xu Xin felt a sense of peace.
This feeling was something I had never experienced before.
Her mind was in complete chaos; she didn't know what to do.
After a while, drowsiness came over me, and my eyelids began to droop.
"Forget it, let's just do what needs to be done, we'll talk about it after I wake up..."
With these thoughts in mind, Xu Xin fell asleep.
