Chapter 212 The Untold Wounds!

The bonfire party was in full swing.

They're all art students; it would be shameful not to have some artistic talent.

They pulled out all sorts of portable musical instruments, such as flutes, xiao (vertical flutes), and harmonicas.

If all else fails, sing a song, dance a routine, or give a live mock performance.

It's no exaggeration to say that the quality of this bonfire party was in no way inferior to any television performance.

In order to gain attention, these people all brought out their best skills.

Amidst laughter and joy, the event was full of wonderful moments.

No one anticipated the danger that was about to strike.

Qin Huai's senses were far more acute than those of the students, and he vaguely sensed that something was amiss.

But he secretly looked around many times, and even used the excuse of needing to urinate to search the surrounding area, but he didn't see any clues.

Even so, Qin Huai remained vigilant.

This is something he honed after experiencing countless life-and-death situations.

Even if there is only a one percent chance of danger, you must remain ninety-nine percent vigilant.

The consequences of carelessness are unbearable.

At this moment, Shu Guangxuan took a pencil and quickly sketched on the drawing board. In just a few minutes, he drew a sketch from his perspective.

The burning campfire, the faces reddened by the flames, the expressions and gestures of the people are all vividly depicted.

This beast in human skin does indeed possess some talent.

Unfortunately, his evil intentions made even the greatest talent an accomplice to his evil deeds.

"Young Master Chen, would you like to have one too?"

One of the girls mustered up her courage and said to Chen Huaidong.

Although Chen Huaidong is the same age as him, he already holds a very high position in the business world of Chongqing.

The vast majority of the students present had connections with Shengxi Group.

They even relied on Chen Huaidong for their livelihood.

Along the way, many people wanted to curry favor with Chen Huaidong, but dared not approach him easily, lest they make a mess of things and displease Chen Huaidong, which would be a disaster.

As the girl shouted, everyone turned to look at Chen Huaidong.

Chen Huaidong smiled and did not refuse, then found someone to use the accordion as an excuse.

A boy handed Chen Huaidong an unopened harmonica. After opening it, Chen Huaidong held the harmonica, gathered some emotion, and began to play.

A slightly hoarse voice came from the harmonica, deep and ethereal. The melody was simple yet extraordinary, bringing peace and tranquility to the listener.

When the song ended, thunderous applause erupted.

Qin Huai was somewhat surprised that Chen Huaidong had such a skill.

Back in your innocent student days, it was a powerful tool for picking up girls.

"I've made a fool of myself."

"Young Master Chen is too modest, it really sounds great!"

"Exactly! This field trip was totally worth it!"

Flattery continued to pour in.

Shu Guangxuan was a little jealous, but he didn't dare to talk back to Chen Huaidong. He glanced at Qin Huai, who had been silent all along, and then he had an idea. He said, "Qin Huai, besides being good at playing the piano, you must have other special skills, right? Why don't you show us what you've got?"

Qin Huai shook his head and said modestly, "I'm sorry to disappoint Teacher Shu, I don't have any special skills."

His most skilled skill was killing.

If Shu Guangxuan really wanted to see it, Qin Huai wouldn't mind letting him see what the art of killing was.

But Shu Guangxuan was unaware that he was starting to verbally provoke Qin Huai, repeatedly teetering on the brink of death.

Because Qin Huai had performed CPR and artificial respiration on Shen Yu and Su Huaijun, many boys were jealous of him. With Shu Guangxuan taking the lead, they all chimed in to support him.

It seemed like an invitation for Qin Huai to show off, but it was actually a sarcastic and ambiguous mockery.

Hearing these hurtful words, Su Huaijun couldn't help but feel secretly angry. She whispered to Qin Huai, "If you don't like it, why don't you demonstrate your fighting skills and have them act as your sparring partners? Beat them up! It's infuriating!"

Qin Huai couldn't help but smile.

What a lovely girl, her heart is set on him.

Qin Huai raised his hand and said loudly, "Alright, since everyone is so insistent on inviting me, I can't refuse their kind invitation, so I'll show you what I can do."

"Hurry up, stop dawdling."

These people were all looking forward to seeing Qin Huai make a fool of himself. They were determined to criticize him severely if he didn't perform well, so that he would lose all face.

Qin Huai did not start performing immediately. Instead, he held up a flashlight, looked around at the trees not far away, and picked a green leaf.

He then sat back down next to Su Huaijun.

"Using leaves as musical instruments? That's not much of a skill, it's just so-so," someone said.

Chen Muxi said coldly, "Don't interrupt, listen first."

Seeing that Chen Muxi was speaking up for Qin Huai, the man dared not utter a word and kept his mouth tightly shut, but the resentment in his heart grew even stronger.

Qin Huai still hasn't started her performance.

He bent down and searched the ground, picking and choosing, then picked up a smooth pebble and struck it against a basketball-sized rock next to him, making a clicking sound.

Then he shook his head, threw away the pebble, and struck another one.

The clicking sound was intermittent; Qin Huai tossed several pebbles before finally making his choice.

"Are you done yet? Is it this difficult to perform a talent show? Everyone is waiting for your amazing performance," Zheng Ni said, dissatisfied.

It's obvious to anyone with eyes that Shu Guangxuan and Qin Huai don't seem to have a good relationship. Since she's so infatuated with and admires Shu Guangxuan, she naturally extends that hatred to Qin Huai as well.

Qin Huai did not respond. He pressed the cleaned leaves to his lips with his left hand and held the pebble in his right.

His gaze gradually became unfocused, filled with a faint sense of sadness.

Immediately afterwards, Qin Huai struck the stone with a pebble.
