Wearing a nightgown, Lu Qingxue lay down on the soft, warm bed. Feeling tired quickly overwhelmed her, and she soon fell into a deep sleep.
As she slept, the corners of her mouth turned up slightly, as if she were having a sweet dream.
Qin Huai woke up very early in the morning.
It rained in the middle of the night, and the temperature dropped sharply.
"I wonder if Lu Qingxue is up yet... She was too tired last night, so she's probably still sleeping. The weather's getting colder, and it must be quite cold for her to sleep alone."
Muttering to himself, Qin Huai made up his mind.
He climbed out of the window, gripping the protrusions on the exterior wall with his arms, and like a monkey, he reached the second-floor window in a few leaps, then quickly climbed back in.
There was no one around, and it was quiet.
Qin Huai arrived silently at Lu Qingxue's door, reached out and turned the doorknob, only to find it locked from the inside.
"You think locking the door will stop me?"
Qin Huai took out a wire from his pocket, fiddled with it a couple of times, and after a slight click, the door opened silently.
He smiled smugly, tiptoed into the house, and turned to close the door.
Lu Qingxue was fast asleep in bed, completely unaware that someone had broken in.
Qin Huai sneakily slipped into bed.
The blankets smelled nice and were warm.
But Qin Huai did nothing.
Instead, Lu Qingxue rolled over and, still half asleep, fell into Qin Huai's arms.
Wow.
Qin Huai was shocked to discover that Lu Qingxue was only wearing a thin nightgown and nothing else.
Taking advantage of the situation, Qin Huai put his arm around Lu Qingxue.
Soon, Lu Qingxue realized something was wrong.
As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw Qin Huai lying next to me, sleeping soundly.
"Who am I? Where am I? Where is this place?"
Lu Qingxue's mind went blank; she thought she had run into Qin Huai's room.
After regaining my senses and looking closely, I realized that this was my own room.
"The door was locked, how did this guy get in?"
Lu Qingxue suddenly didn't want to dwell on this issue anymore.
The scene from last night flashed through her mind. She pursed her lips, pretended not to know anything, and closed her eyes.
