Chapter 20 True Colors vs. Intimidation "Believe it or not, I'll break you..."
When Xiao returned to the villa's living room for dinner, he forced himself to keep his eyes down and not look around.
But as he ate, his gaze involuntarily slipped away from the edge of the bowls and chopsticks, past the plates and dishes, and landed on a pair of men across from him who seemed nonchalant yet harbored their own thoughts.
Wen Yinhe sighed inwardly, thinking to himself that just as Huai Jin had said, he was still a child and couldn't keep his composure.
If he continues to spy on him like this, Huai Jin might become suspicious.
Wen Yinhe had no choice but to tap the table lightly, his clear and patient gaze falling on Xiao Ye's flustered face. His eyelids were slightly lowered, and his eyelashes cast a small, quiet shadow under his eyelids. Although it was a question, it seemed to carry an irresistible sense of pressure: "Mr. Xiao, perhaps you need a napkin?"
"Huh? Uh, okay... thank you." Xiao Ye's breath hitched slightly, and she subconsciously lowered her eyes, nodding her thanks with feigned composure, though she was actually about to scream inside.
Help!
It seems he discovered a side of the movie star that no one else knew?
The question now is, does President Lu know the true face of the movie star?
Xiao Ye couldn't help but bite his chopsticks, feeling worried for Lu Huaijin.
Seeing that Xiao Ye's expression changed again after taking the napkin, Wen Yinhe couldn't help but feel a little amused and exasperated.
Oh well, let them guess what they want.
Regardless of how others perceive it, his feelings and relationship with Huai Jin will remain unchanged.
After the guests finished their meal, they went back to their rooms one after another, with Tao Miller being particularly quick to escape.
The moment Lu Huaijin glanced at him, he was restless all morning and didn't dare look at Lu Huaijin a second time. He felt like he was sitting on pins and needles during the meal and even neglected Jiang Hengchuan who was next to him.
Before they had even finished their meal, Jiang Hengchuan couldn't resist using exhaustion as an excuse to leave early, and his expression turned rather grim.
After Tao Miller's figure disappeared from sight, Lu Huaijin elegantly wiped his hands, turned his head and pecked Wen Yinhe's ear, and said unhurriedly, "You go back to your room and rest first, I have to take care of some things."
Without needing to spell it out, Wen Yinhe naturally understood what he was going to do.
Wen Yinhe never interfered with any of Lu Huaijin's decisions, but he couldn't help but gently remind him, "Don't go too far."
It wasn't out of kindness on his part, but rather because he was worried that something might happen on the show, which would negatively impact his partner.
Lu Huaijin chuckled softly, a chilling glint appearing in his narrowed eyes, his aura icy: "Don't worry, I'm just giving you a little scare, I'm not going to lay a hand on you."
Wen Yinhe: "..."
That sounds even more worrying.
Viewers couldn't hear what they were saying in private; they only saw Lu Huaijin leave the table alone, and the production crew quickly had someone carry a camera and follow him.
Lu Huaijin paused, turned his head and raised an eyebrow at the production crew, his deep tone unreadable: "You guys are going to film this too?"
The cameraman instinctively took a step back, and hearing the director's excited and insistent commands through his earpiece, he could only swallow hard and grit his teeth to recite his lines: "Our program is broadcast live 24 hours a day..."
"Alright, alright, go ahead and take the pictures." Lu Huaijin chuckled, ignoring everything behind him, and strode to the door of Tao Miller's room on the second floor, knocking lightly on the door.
"Who is it?" Tao Miller was clearly surprised that Lu Huaijin would come to his door directly, and opened the door without any precautions.
When he saw Lu Huaijin's cold and indifferent face, he subconsciously tried to close the door, but a strong and powerful arm slammed it against the door.
A loud "thud" was heard.
Tao Miller shuddered violently, and the door he had been trying to close became completely immobile.
The atmosphere in the room instantly became heavy and stagnant, even the cameramen following Lu Huaijin were too frightened to move.
This series of actions happened so fast that the viewers in the live chat only belatedly realized what was going on:
[Holy crap? Holy crap holy crap holy crap!!! President Lu is going to confront me face-to-face! So tough?! This...this...is this something I can watch? (My titanium alloy dog eyes widen)]
[Ahhh, I knew it! With President Lu's personality, he would never let someone who messed with him get away with it so easily! Thank you, President Lu. I never expected to see men fighting on a dating reality show. He really doesn't treat us like outsiders!]
[Holy crap! That punch was absolutely awesome! It hit me right in the heart, sob sob~ (Inner monologue: Holy crap, that scared the hell out of me!)]
Lu Huaijin's tall figure blocked the doorway, his deep brows casting two cold, hard shadows. He strolled in casually, his steps steady and powerful, his leather shoes making a dull sound on the floor, each step seeming to pound on one's heart.
Forced back by the man's imposing aura, Taumiller's legs trembled. He accidentally bumped his calf against the edge of the bed and fell to the ground in a disheveled state.
His heart pounded wildly, and his palms were already damp with cold sweat. He tried to stand up several times by bracing himself against the bed, but his weak legs caused him to fall back down each time. He could only shrink back into the bed, trying to use the large double bed to resist Lu Huaijin's silent pressure.
"What? Are you interested in me?"
Lu Huaijin strode up to Tao Miller, his massive shadow completely engulfing the light in front of Tao Miller, trapping him firmly in his shadow. He looked down at the cowering youth below him and let out a sneer that was hard to decipher.
"No, no..." Tao Miller's voice trembled, and he couldn't even care about his image in front of the camera. He couldn't help but cry, sobbing and apologizing, "I'm sorry, Mr. Lu, I'll never dare to do it again, please forgive me..."
"You like having your ankle held, huh?" Lu Huaijin slowly squatted down in front of him, his long, beautiful fingertips gently touching Tao Miller's frantically retracting ankle. It was an extremely slight movement, almost imperceptible, yet it felt as if a chilling sensation seeped into his bones and pierced straight into his flesh, causing Tao Miller's hair to stand on end instantly, and he almost screamed.
The man's handsome face was devoid of warmth; his cold, sharp features were like a drawn blade. He leaned closer, and the words he uttered were like whispers, low and gentle, yet chillingly cold.
Like a venomous snake coiled around the neck, it brings a suffocating and terrifying feeling of impending death.
"Believe it or not, I'll snap it in half for you? Hmm?"
