Chapter 7 Hook

"Sister, are you done with your work?"

Seeing that Jiang Ning was looking at her, Yan Keyi leaned out to ask a question.

"Yiyi, why didn't you call me?"

When Yan Keyi came to find her, Jiang Ning immediately closed her laptop. She already knew almost everything she needed to know about "The Long Spear," and she could contact Hu Yiming by phone.

"I didn't want to bother you because I saw that you were busy."

Jiang Ning had already left the study, and Yan Keyi followed her to the dining table.

Watching Yan Keyi busy in the kitchen, it was clear that she was quite skilled, but Jiang Ning was still quite surprised when she actually made a large table of food.

"Why are there so many of us, just the two of us?"

It wasn't that Jiang Ning felt sorry for the food; he felt sorry for Yan Keyi running around taking care of everything.

"Because I said I wanted to show off my skills in front of my older sister!"

Yan Keyi was very happy to be praised by her sister.

However, Jiang Ning, with his sharp eyes, noticed that Yan Keyi's hand seemed to have a blister.

"Yiyi, how did you get burned? Did you burn yourself while cooking?"

Jiang Ning hurriedly sat down next to Yan Keyi to check on her. She had a rather large blister from the burn. The burn would hurt even more if it wasn't treated. Jiang Ning didn't want to see her suffer, so she quickly grabbed the first-aid kit and gave Yan Keyi emergency treatment.

When Yan Keyi first got burned, she did think about asking Jiang Ning for a hug, but when she saw that Jiang Ning was busy, she gave up the idea. She didn't want Jiang Ning to worry.

However, Jiang Ning still saw her. Seeing how Jiang Ning was busy taking care of her because he was worried about her, Yan Keyi suddenly felt wronged and started to cry.

Seeing Yan Keyi start to cry, Jiang Ning thought it was because he was too clumsy and hurt her, and felt even more guilty.

She shouldn't have left Yan Keyi alone in the kitchen.

"Yiyi, I'm sorry, I'll be gentler."

Jiang Ning gently blew on her wound and then treated it even more gently. The way she coaxed her softly for a moment overlapped with the way her grandmother patiently treated her wounds when she fell down as a child, which made Yan Keyi cry with tears in her eyes.

Seeing Yan Keyi cry even harder, Jiang Ning was at a loss for what to do.

"Why are you so good to me, sister?"

While Jiang Ning stood there stunned, she gave Yan Keyi a perfect opportunity to throw herself into her arms.

Why?

Jiang Ning might have been lustful at first sight, or perhaps Yan Keyi's plight was truly pitiful, but he wouldn't let Yan Keyi know any of this.

"Because Yiyi deserves to be treated well, and more and more people will treat you well in the future."

Jiang Ning gently patted Yan Keyi's back and slowly pushed her away. She was afraid that if Yan Keyi continued to cry on her chest, her heartbeat would soon become unbearable.

"Will my sister always be good to me?"

Compared to the affections of others, Yan Keyi seems to care more about Jiang Ning's affections.

"Yes, as long as Yiyi needs me, I will always be by your side."

Jiang Ning dared not let Yan Keyi know her thoughts, fearing that Yan Keyi would find them disgusting. Therefore, she would keep her feelings hidden, but as long as Yan Keyi needed her, she would always be by her side.

"Okay, pinky promise!"

Yan Keyi extended her little finger and looked intently at Jiang Ning, hoping to gain his approval.

From the moment Jiang Ning first saw Yan Keyi, she had always thought her eyes were really beautiful. Now, with Yan Keyi staring at her so intently, her eyes, as bright as a galaxy, seemed to hold everything in the world. Jiang Ning had to admit that she seemed to have completely fallen for her.

He extended his finger and made a pinky promise with Yan Keyi, who finally smiled.

After the two had lunch, Jiang Ning told Yan Keyi to rest for a while. She had been crying for the past two days, and her eyes, which had just started to get a little less swollen, were now swollen again after crying. It pained Jiang Ning to see this.

Yan Keyi did feel that her eyes were a little uncomfortable, so she obediently went to rest.

After confirming that Yan Keyi had fallen asleep, Jiang Ning went to the study to handle his work.

She originally had a video conference this afternoon, and she was thinking that if she had to accompany Yan Keyi, she might have to postpone it, but now it seems that she doesn't need to postpone it.

By the time Jiang Ning entered the conference room, almost everyone had arrived.

You should know that Jiang Ning hates it when people are late for meetings. Who would dare to be late for a meeting she chairs and risk offending her?

But Jiang Ning wasn't the first to arrive today, which everyone found a bit strange. Of course, no one dared to ask Jiang Ning about it.

"Today's meeting begins. Lina, please tell everyone about the projects that need to be launched next quarter."

Once everyone had arrived at the meeting, Jiang Ning had his assistant, Lina, introduce the projects the company was planning for the next quarter.

The project is currently in its early stages of preparation, which is a time when we need to brainstorm ideas. That's why we chose to hold the meeting before Monday so that Jiangning can see the initial progress when they go to work tomorrow.

As Lina explained the project plan, some people began to write down their thoughts.

Their design team, Fantasy Design, covers a wide range of areas, but their department mainly focuses on jewelry design. In recent years, the popularity of traditional Chinese style has remained high, and the company hopes that they will design a set of jewelry using traditional Chinese style elements.

Because of its popularity, there are many products on the market, making it understandably difficult to stand out from the crowd.

However, their reputation in the industry has always been good. This is a quarterly project, not something that needs to be completed in three days. As long as they are given time, they will definitely be able to deliver a satisfactory design.

"Anyone with ideas can speak up first. We'll have a regular meeting tomorrow afternoon, and I want to see progress."

After Lina finished speaking, Jiang Ning continued to chair the meeting.

Although she is a serious person, she respects the opinions of everyone on the team to the greatest extent, which is why her subordinates are still willing to work with her even though they know she is very serious.

Everyone gathered together because they enjoy it, and they definitely want their ideas to be put into practice.

"Since we're going to focus on traditional Chinese style, how about using plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, and chrysanthemums as the theme?"

Min had actually had an idea before, but he hadn't been able to put it into practice. Now he felt that it fit the theme, and he had already started sketching while Lina was explaining the project. He just took it out now.

"It's pretty, but not stunning. Let's refine it first, and then we'll review the draft at tomorrow's meeting."

Jiang Ning commented on Min's design.

It's not that his design is bad, but it's not enough to make people want to buy it at first glance.

"elder sister……"
