Chapter 168: A sincere heart fed to the dog

The old lady was a little puzzled when she saw Su Qingyu standing solemnly in the middle of the hall and brought the matter to herself.

"Why is it because of you? What does this have to do with you?"

Su Qingyu began to explain.

"Today, my third cousin sent me a message saying he had something to tell me and asked me to go to Guangfu Tower."

"When I got there, I didn't see my third cousin, but I saw Aunt Cheng. Aunt Cheng said a lot of unpleasant things. I didn't want to argue with her any more, so I decided to leave."

"I didn't expect her to take a pill and try to stuff it into my mouth. Luckily, Feicui, who was beside me, had some basic skills, and during the argument, the pill went into Aunt Cheng's mouth."

"I was terrified. I heard that the Third Master was in Guangfu Tower, so I left the private room to look for him. I didn't expect someone to go to the Third Master and slander me, saying that the eldest young master and I were in the private room. It's really nonsense."

"It's my fault. If I hadn't left Aunt Cheng there alone, the young master wouldn't have gotten hurt."

Su Qingyu's words were flawless. Although she only told the story, everyone present understood that it was Cheng Ruijin who wanted to harm her.

"But why did Aunt Cheng go to Guangfu Tower? Aren't we not allowed to leave the house?"

Su Qingyu asked again suspiciously.

The old lady's expression became more and more unsightly as Su Qingyu spoke.

Although she had been a little confused in the past two years, she could still figure out the key points of these things as long as she thought about them a little.

She raised her eyes to look at Shen Zhao. How much of this matter was Shen Zhao's calculation?

"Chen Zhao, she is your aunt, tell me what's going on."

Shen Zhao listened to the old lady's question and bowed slightly, "Grandma, I don't know why Aunt Cheng is like this."

"These days, she has been begging me to go out for a walk. Seeing that she was depressed at home, I thought of taking her to Guangfu Tower for a meal."

"If my grandson knew that she wanted to harm Third Aunt, there's no way he would take her out."

Shen Zhao said these two sentences without any hesitation, and it didn't seem like he was just pretending at all.

Cheng Rujin looked at Shen Zhao in disbelief. How could he say that? Judging from his appearance, it seemed as if he had already thought of saying that.

Cheng Ruijin's heart suddenly sank, and an inexplicable sense of panic surged in his heart.

The old lady pondered for a moment, then asked, "Then why did she go to see your Third Aunt? Do you know about this?"

Chen Zhao immediately shook his head. "My grandson didn't know. She said she wanted to look around. So I told the waiter in the store not to stop her from going anywhere. When I went out to look for her, she was already in Mantingfang."

Su Qingyu's lowered eyes were filled with cold mockery. Chen Zhao wanted to clear himself of the blame, but he didn't know if he could do so.

"Mrs. Cheng, you've gone through all this trouble. What are you doing for? To throw dirty water on me? Or to kill me?"

"You weren't the one who led me to Guangfu Tower, were you? And Princess Chaoyun, were you the one who led her there too?"

Su Qingyu pretended to be suddenly enlightened and heartbroken.

She made up her mind that she would never let Cheng Ruijin see the sun tomorrow.

Chen Zhao's face was also filled with anger when Su Qingyu mentioned Li Chaoyun. Cheng Rujin, that idiot, had taken it upon himself to lure Li Chaoyun over. His marriage to the Li family was in big trouble.

Shen Zhao suddenly stood up and saluted towards Su Qingyu.

"Today, I didn't discipline my children properly and offended Third Aunt. Please forgive me."

After saying this, he turned to the old lady and said, "Grandma, what Aunt Cheng did this time is unforgivable. In my opinion, she can no longer stay in the mansion."

Although he didn't say directly what he would do with her, it was clear that he wanted to abandon Cheng Rujin.

Su Qingyu looked at Cheng Ruijin, "Aunt Cheng, do you have anything else to explain?"

Cheng Rujin looked at Shen Zhao in despair, as if he had completely seen through Shen Zhao's true face of selfishness and hypocrisy.

She laughed at herself, thinking that all her sincerity over the past two years had been wasted. At the critical moment, Shen Zhao pushed her out without hesitation.

"Madam, I was instructed by the eldest young master. This was not my idea."

Cheng Rujin suddenly spoke loudly, and knelt on the ground and kowtowed to the old lady, "Old lady, please spare my life. I am willing to tell the truth. It was the eldest young master. He wanted to ruin the third lady's reputation and make the third master suspect her. That's why I did such a foolish thing. Please, old lady, please understand."

Su Qingyu raised the corners of her lips. Cheng Ruijin finally said a few useful words.

As soon as she said this, everyone present was shocked except Su Qingyu and Shen Zhixiu.

Chen cursed excitedly, "You little bitch, how dare you slander me?"

"You failed to frame someone yourself, and now you want to push this onto the young master. You are truly a vicious person. Do you know the price you will pay for casually slandering me? I can make sure you die without a complete corpse."

It's no wonder Chen was so excited about this matter. She used such a dirty thing to harm her own aunt. If this crime was proven, not to mention Shen Zhixiu, even the old lady would not let Shen Zhao go.

But since Cheng Ruijin wanted to speak, she would not be threatened by Chen.

She glanced at Shen Zhao and spoke again, "Old Madam, everything I said is true. Leading the Third Madam over and informing the Third Master were all instructed by the eldest young master."

"It was the eldest young master who told me to go to the Jiuqu Pavilion on the third floor. He also told me about the mechanism of the Jiuqu Pavilion in advance."

"He told me to knock the Third Madam unconscious and then he would go in. Then he would lead the Third Master and Lord Yang over and we would just happen to see him and the Third Madam in the same room. Since they had discussed marriage before, the Third Master would definitely be suspicious, and then she would have no place in the Shen family."

Chen Zhao, however, had a frank expression, without a trace of anxiety on his face, "Grandmother, you are wise. Your grandson did not do these things."
