Su Shunci continued, "Big sister, you don't know, but Third Cousin's shoes are almost falling off from running. Matchmaker Wang put two pounds of powder on her face, and it made Third Cousin sneeze non-stop."
Su Qingyu winked at Su Shunci and coughed lightly, signaling her to stop talking. Su Shunci didn't understand what she meant at all and thought her eyes were uncomfortable.
"On the way here just now, I held back and didn't ask him about this."
At this point, Su Shunci couldn't stop laughing. She felt thirsty and took two gulps of tea from the teacup.

Su Qingyu looked at Lin Wuchen with a puzzled expression, but Lin Wuchen obviously didn't want to talk about this with Lin Wanyin, so he changed the subject directly.

It was afternoon, and sunlight streamed in through the window lattice. Su Qingyu was covered with a thin blanket, her eyelashes trembling slightly, and she was drowsy.
Just as I was about to fall asleep, Shen Zhixiu walked in hurriedly.
He squatted in front of the small couch and held her hand. "What's wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable? Did you call the doctor?"
Su Qingyu was woken up and snorted unhappily.
"I'm not feeling unwell, I just don't want to go back to the Su family."
She could guess that it must be Chuntao who had just conveyed the message and he had heard it.
Shen Zhixiu suddenly realized that he had disturbed Su Qingyu's sweet dream.
I hurriedly coaxed him in a low voice: "Then continue to sleep. I was wrong. I won't disturb you anymore."
He patted her back again, gently.
He didn't stand up and leave until Su Qingyu fell asleep again and tucked the blanket in for her.
In the evening, Zhenzhu selected gifts for the old lady's birthday in the small warehouse and brought them in for Su Qingyu to review.
"Madam, what do you think of this Buddha statue?"
The red cloth above was lifted, revealing a golden Buddha statue. It was three feet tall, and the entire golden body glowed brightly in the candlelight.
Jade looked at it in amazement, "How much gold is this?"
Pearl chuckled twice and explained mysteriously to Su Qingyu and Feicui.
"Madam, this golden Buddha statue looks big, but it's hollow inside. It doesn't actually use much gold, but it's impressive."
"If it were up to you, Madam, you should give her this. It saves money and gives her face."
Feicui was dumbfounded and asked, "Have you asked about the origin of this thing? I don't think it was given to Third Master by someone else. It would be bad for us to give it away like this."
Zhenzhu was confident, "I've asked around. This statue was made in our mansion and was originally meant to be buried with the old man. But the size was wrong, so it's been kept in the small storeroom in our yard ever since."
