Chapter 307: Marriage Discussion

Su Shunci was stunned. She knew her grandmother would interrogate her, but she didn't expect her grandmother to restrict her from leaving the house.

Thinking that the old lady was still calculating the money from the shop, Su Shunci thought for a moment and said, "Grandma, please allow me to go. When I get paid in a few days, I will hand it all over to the mansion and make sure I don't keep any for myself."

The old lady scolded him harshly, "What kind of talk is that? You are the fourth daughter of the Su family, can you still go out to work?"

"It's your own shop, so there's nothing wrong with taking care of the accounts. But now you're working for someone else, how can that be proper?"

Su Shunci suddenly became anxious and blurted out, "Then what should I do at home? I might as well go out and earn some money instead of just sitting there doing nothing."

The old lady snorted, "You should practice needlework at home. It's not good to get married in a few years without knowing anything."

Su Shunci was shocked. Getting married? Why would her grandmother mention getting married?

The old lady pointed at her and said to Su Chengye, "Look at you, you haven't learned any manners outside. Is it her place to interfere in these matters?"

Then he turned to look at Su Shunci and said, "You should go back first. Your father and I have our own plans for this matter."

Su Shunci realized she couldn't get any more information out of him, so she stopped asking. After all, if she wanted to find out, she could always find out.

When I turned around, I heard the old lady instructing Nanny Yuan.

"Tell the people in the mansion not to let the Fourth Young Lady go out without my order."

Su Shunci paused and walked out of Songhe Hall without saying anything.

Not long after she left Songhe Hall and reached the small garden, she was stopped by someone.

"My cousin just came from my great-aunt's house. I think she knows everything, right?"
