Chapter 115 Hypocrisy

The policewoman's voice was sweet and coquettish: "No, I want to eradicate darkness and uphold justice."

"Okay, okay, whatever you say." Gu Jun patted the policewoman's hand, his eyes full of tenderness.

Zhao Lin had no idea that he had stumbled upon this scene.

He looked embarrassed and instinctively tried to back away, but his foot stepped on a branch, making a crisp cracking sound.

The policewoman immediately caught the attention of the two people in the Santana. She frowned slightly, nodded slightly in greeting, and then turned her face away indifferently to play with her phone.

Gu Jun shook his head indulgently, got out of the Santana, and his expression once again became dignified and unapproachable.

Zhang Fan glanced at the policewoman discreetly. She looked upright and righteous, but he hadn't expected her to take the shortcut. Fortunately, none of his women were such shallow people.

Zhao Lin introduced the two men: "Director Gu, this is Dr. Zhang Fan, who treated my illness. Dr. Zhang, this is Director Gu."

Gu Jun wore a polite smile, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.

His scrutinizing gaze subtly observed Zhang Fan, who was wearing a counterfeit brand T-shirt, baggy shorts, and worn-out slippers. His brow was slightly furrowed.

Zhang Fan looked like a country bumpkin; how could he possibly be a doctor? Not long ago, Zhangjiapo reported a case of a sorceress swindling people, so Zhao Lin was probably using the same trick.

His voice was authoritative: "Since he is a divine doctor, he must have extraordinary abilities."

Before Zhang Fan could reply, Zhao Lin launched into a long-winded explanation: "Dr. Zhang is incredibly skilled! I was poisoned before, and I went to see doctors everywhere, but they couldn't find anything out..."

Before he could finish speaking, Gu Jun interrupted him: "Enough with the nonsense, doctor, tell me what's wrong with me."

Not many people knew that Gu Jun was sick. He had met Zhao Lin when he went to see a doctor before, and the two exchanged a few pleasantries.

Hearing that Zhao Lin's adopted son almost killed Zhao Lin, he called to ask what had happened. He was feeling unwell at the time, so he explained his physical condition.

However, he felt that he didn't have any serious illness, he was just old and his body was not as strong as it used to be.

His hawk-like eyes were fixed on Zhang Fan, ready to seize him at the slightest sign of weakness.

Zhang Fan knew what Gu Jun was thinking and smiled confidently: "Director Gu is going to die."

Gu Jun's face darkened: "What evidence do you have?"

Zhao Lin was already used to Zhang Fan's words. Although they didn't sound nice, Dr. Zhang was always right.

Zhang Fan: "You have diabetes and a black line on your ankle that keeps growing upwards. It's already reached your groin. In less than half a month, it will grow to your genitals, and then your thing will be completely ruined. You'll also get testicular cancer."

Gu Jun sneered. The black lines on his face were so obvious. He didn't even have a name on his body. This fake doctor was a master liar.

To make Zhang Fan give up, Gu Jun pulled up his suit pants and showed them to Zhang Fan: "Look carefully, I don't have any black lines on me."

Zhao Lin exclaimed loudly, "There really are black lines!"

Gu Jun's heart skipped a beat. He looked in the direction Zhao Lin pointed and saw a faint black line on his left calf. The line wasn't dark, and because it was behind him and covered by thick leg hair, he had never noticed it before.

He even took a closer look at his right leg and found that it was indeed only on his left leg. He even rubbed it vigorously with saliva, but the black line was still there.

Gu Jun raised his head, a hint of panic flashing in his eyes as he thought about his testicles being removed, but he quickly regained his composure: "Miracle doctor, what disease do I have?"

Zhang Fan explained, "It's not an illness, it's poisoning. I haven't been able to figure out what kind of poison it is yet, but it looks like you've been poisoned for over a month."

Gu Jun's heart skipped a beat: "I drank snake wine that a friend brought back from South Africa to Ali a month ago. Could it be that something went wrong with that stuff?"

Zhang Fan: "I can only confirm this after seeing the wine you mentioned. However, I can tell that you were exceptionally vigorous after drinking that stuff, and your body was completely drained. That black line is the toxins accumulating in your body. When the time comes, that thing of yours will have to be cut off."

Gu Jun already believed Zhang Fan's words to a great extent, but he was always cautious and did not express his opinion immediately.

Just then, Zhao Lin swayed twice, rolled his eyes, and fell straight down with a thud, shaking the ground.

The policewoman was sleeping in the car with her headphones on, and with the car window rolled down, she was completely unaware of what was happening outside.

A hint of panic appeared on Gu Jun's usually calm face. He knelt down beside Zhao Lin and checked Zhao Lin's injuries.

His first reaction was to check Zhao Lin's head, but as soon as he touched it, he felt a warm, sticky substance. When he lifted his hand, his fingertips were covered in a glaring red.

Although rural roads are mostly dirt roads, gravel is everywhere. Unfortunately, Zhao Lin hit the back of his head on a small stone. The back of the head is very dangerous; some people are unlucky and die from a fall.

"Zhao Lin, Zhao Lin!" Gu Jun called out Zhao Lin's name loudly, his voice trembling slightly. His old friend of many years might be dead. He reacted quickly and reached for the walkie-talkie in the car to call an ambulance.

Zhao Lin injured his head and could not be moved on his own; only professionals could be called.

Before Gu Jun's hand could even touch the car door switch, Zhang Fan stopped his wrist, saying calmly, "You hit some hard mud; it's just a superficial injury, nothing life-threatening."

Zhang Fan's calm tone quickly soothed Zhao Lin's panicked and worried heart. Upon closer inspection, he realized that Zhao Lin had indeed bumped into a piece of dried, hard mud. He was amazed by Zhang Fan's keen observation and quick reflexes.

His gaze fell on Zhang Fan's hand that was gripping his wrist. There were very few people in the world who could accurately grab his wrist when he was moving so fast.

A hint of doubt flashed in Gu Jun's eyes as he scrutinized Zhang Fan. Seeing no signs of deliberate training, Gu Jun concluded that Zhang Fan must be exceptionally talented.

He planned to thoroughly investigate Zhang Fan, hoping that if he was honest and upright, he could be of good use to him.

Zhang Fan released Gu Jun's wrist, first using acupressure to stop Zhao Lin's bleeding, and then using spiritual power to restore the balance of Qi in Zhao Lin's body.

Zhao Lin's body had not yet recovered, and he had traveled such a long distance for Zhang Fan. The evil energy entered his body, and he could not bear it and fell to the ground.

Seeing Zhao Lin open his eyes and look even better than before he fainted, Gu Jun finally believed Zhang Fan's words.

Upon hearing Zhang Fan say that he was about to die, Gu Jun's expression changed, and his voice was filled with panic: "Dr. Zhang, please help me."

Zhang Fan shook his head: "Not yet."
