Chapter 121 Three Minutes of Life

Ji Zhi drove Zhang Fan and Zhao Lin straight to Jiangcheng Tianren Hospital.

Jiangcheng Tianren Hospital is the best private hospital in Jiangcheng. It is a hospital that combines traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The medical fees are very expensive, and it is specially opened for the wealthy. Wei Lai seeks treatment here.

Zhao Lin: "The Wei family is very rich. I'm just a nobody in front of them."

Zhang Fan: "Aren't you the richest man in the city?"

Zhao Lin chuckled: "The Wei family isn't from Jiangcheng; they're from Kyoto."

Zhang Fan was puzzled: "Then why not just go to Kyoto for treatment?"

Kyoto is the capital of China, and the best resources in the country are concentrated there, including the best education and the best medical care.

Zhao Lin: "Wei Lailai was in a serious car accident in Jiangcheng. I heard he has been in the ICU for half a month, with medical expenses of 100,000 yuan per day. He is still clinging to life. His family has not dared to move him."

He cautioned, "Dr. Zhang, I don't doubt your medical skills, but this treatment is very difficult. The Wei family chartered planes to bring in many doctors from all over the country, but none of them could handle it. You should take a look first, and if it's too difficult, don't take the job."

Zhang Fan: "I'll go take a look first."

Upon arriving at Tianren Hospital, Zhao Lin made a phone call, and soon a man in a suit and sunglasses jogged over to lead the way.

Tianren Hospital is luxuriously decorated. Unlike the noise of a typical hospital, it is very quiet here. Along the way, you can see many nurses who all smile when they talk to patients.

When they arrived at the top floor of the inpatient department, Zhang Fan realized that there were two wards on this floor, one on the left and one on the right.

The man in black led Zhang Fan and the others to the right, but instead of to the ward, he took them to an office in front of the ward.

"Butler Dai, they've arrived."

A man in a custom-made suit was sitting in an office. Upon hearing this, Butler Dai immediately stood up to greet him. He knew Zhao Lin and was aware of Zhao Lin's miraculous escape from death.

When he saw Zhang Fan behind Zhao Lin, his face immediately fell, and he frowned, asking hesitantly, "Is he the doctor?"

Zhao Lin nodded, and Butler Dai's face instantly fell, his cheeks flushed red, and his voice became agitated: "Tell me, are you trying to steal the family heirloom! I'm going to sue you!"

Zhao Lin panicked: "Butler Dai, don't talk nonsense!"

"Get them out!" Butler Dai shouted at the door, and the man in sunglasses who had led the way earlier immediately walked in.

The man in sunglasses was tall and strong, and he came in aggressively, reaching out to grab people.

Zhao Lin's arm was grabbed, and Zhang Fan missed his target. The man in sunglasses dragged Zhao Lin to catch Zhang Fan.

Zhao Lin shouted, "Don't touch Doctor Zhang!"

"Uncle Dai, what happened?" a woman's voice called out.

Zhang Fan looked up and saw a woman in an unidentifiable garment standing at the door. She had red lips and white teeth, a round face and a high nose, and exuded an air of nobility, but her eyes revealed weariness.

Butler Dai said respectfully, "Madam, I'm dealing with two swindlers."

Zhao Lin explained, "Madam Wei, this is Zhao Lin. You called Dr. Zhang earlier, and I have brought him here now."

Madam Wei quickly said, "Release them immediately."

Butler Dai advised, "Madam, even doctors in Kyoto with decades of experience find this matter difficult. How could such a young man possibly cure illnesses?"

Zhang Fan said calmly, "Butler Dai, you snore and drool at night, and your pillow smells bad in the morning."

Butler Dai blurted out, "How did you know?"

Many people know that he snores, but only his wife knows that he drools.

His disdainful gaze was gradually replaced by shock.

Madam Wei: "Uncle Dai, is what he said true?"

Butler Dai nodded: "Many people snore."

Zhang Fan said, "Madam, you suffer from insomnia and nightmares. You have a lot of nightmares as soon as you close your eyes, and you also have constipation."

Mrs. Wei was shocked for a few seconds, then her eyes reddened: "You're right, please save my son."

Outside the intensive care unit, Zhang Fan peered through the glass.

A man of similar age lay on the hospital bed, his body covered in tubes, needing a machine to even breathe.

Zhang Fan: "I need to take his pulse."

Mrs. Wei led Zhang Fan to the doctor's office, where several doctors were having a meeting.

Upon hearing the purpose of Madam Wei's visit, one of the doctors asked directly.

"Young man, may I ask which school you graduated from? What did you major in?"

Zhang Fan told the truth: "I'm not a medical student, I should be considered a Western medicine doctor."

"Self-taught?" one of the doctors said. "Madam Wei, are you really comfortable letting someone who studied at home get in?"

“Madam Wei, I have seen geniuses in my decades of medical practice, but I have never seen a genius who is self-taught at home,” said a doctor who was about 60 years old.

Madam Wei hesitated: "But he can see my physical condition."

"Itinerant doctors always use the same old tricks to get some symptoms out of you," the older doctor explained.

Zhao Lin wanted to persuade him again, but Zhang Fan stopped him with a look. Zhao Lin understood and didn't say anything in the end.

He doesn't need to treat those who don't trust him.

Madam Wei looked at Zhao Lin, then at the doctors, her brows furrowed in a knot, unsure of what to do.

Just then, a piercing alarm sounded, and a red light flashed.

The doctors rushed to the ward with lightning speed and carried out the rescue in an orderly manner.

The ICU wards here are specially designed, and almost all the necessary equipment is inside.

Madam Wei's face was gloomy, her brow furrowed, and tears streamed down her face like broken beads. She clasped her hands together and murmured a prayer: "Buddha, God, Guanyin Bodhisattva... I beg you to protect my son."
