Bai Rou'er and he still had business to do, and Zhang Fan also couldn't stand Li Bohan's attitude, so he got out of the car and slowly walked over.
Li Bohan looked at the newcomer with a scrutinizing gaze.
He was wearing a faded T-shirt, baggy shorts, and foam slippers, looking utterly poor.
But his tall stature, handsome face, powerful presence, and extraordinary aura left Li Bohan stunned.
He actually felt a sense of oppression from those in power.
Li Bohan shook his head, putting his foolish idea out of his mind.
He raised his chin high, clapped his hands, and summoned his thugs: "No wonder he wouldn't obey me, so he found a pretty boy. I'll show him what I'm capable of!"
Bai Rou'er shouted, "Run!"
Zhang Fan remained unmoved, while Li Bohan's smile deepened. This man dared to covet his woman; he was doomed!
Two men dressed in black emerged from the shadows.
Both of these thugs were retired boxing competitors, one of whom was a provincial champion. Ordinary people would be no match for them.
Li Bohan laughed triumphantly: "You asked for this!"
Bai Rou'er struggled desperately, her voice trembling with tears: "This has nothing to do with him, Zhang Fan, you run!"
"Too late! Go!" Li Bohan waved his hand, and two thugs instantly surrounded him.
Bai Rou'er screamed, closed her eyes, and dared not look anymore, silently praying that Zhang Fan would be alright.
The girl with the bun covered her face with her hands, tears streaming down her cheeks from fright.
Li Bohan looked arrogant, his eyes wide open. He wanted to see this man get beaten up with his own eyes.
Unexpectedly, in an instant, something happened, and the two thugs were suddenly thrown into the air, crashing heavily to the ground with a groan. They lay there, clutching their sore spots and screaming in pain.
This happened within arm's reach, so fast that Li Bohan didn't even see how Zhang Fan made his move; he only saw a blur.
Li Bohan felt an unprecedented fear, and his legs trembled involuntarily.
Hearing the noise, Bai Rou'er tentatively opened her eyes a crack, then slowly closed them again.
Something's not right!
The person lying on the ground doesn't seem to be Zhang Fan.
Opening her eyes, Bai Rou'er saw Zhang Fan standing there unharmed and exclaimed excitedly, "Thank goodness, you're alright!"
Li Bohan gritted his teeth and looked at Bai Rou'er: "How can someone as poor as him be worthy of you? Can he even afford this ginseng?"
A hint of disdain flashed in Bai Rou'er's eyes; it was Zhang Fan who had sold this ginseng.
Zhang Fan coldly said, "It seems you've been thoroughly deceived. This is indeed blood ginseng, but this is only a part of it, and it's the dregs of the medicine, so its medicinal effect is halved. Now it's no different in medicinal properties from 20-year-old ginseng."
Seeing Zhang Fan's confident expression, Li Bohan also became insecure.
Li Bohan retorted, "Do you know who my uncle is? He's the director of the Transportation Bureau of Huaping City. Do you think you can afford to offend him?"
Zhang Fan scoffed, "Anyone who didn't know better would think your dad's the bureau chief. You're so shameless, even with that kind of connection."
Li Bohan's face flushed red and then turned pale in a flash, like a revolving lantern: "Don't be stubborn!"
Zhang Fan grew impatient, cracking his wrist with a crisp sound: "Are you going to fight or not? Enough with the nonsense!"
He raised his hand to scratch his head, and Li Bohan immediately covered his head and shouted, "Murder!"
Zhang Fan chuckled sarcastically: "My head was a little itchy. Did I scare you? You're such a coward."
Li Bohan's face flushed red: "Wait here, I'll go get someone."
Just then, a car stopped at the entrance, and a man in black and an old man with a goatee got out.
The old man with the goat walked over and said coldly, "Who is bullying my nephew, Wu Dao?"
When Bai Rou'er saw the person who had arrived, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes: "Dr. Wu."
The girl with the bun whispered, "Sister, is this the legendary Doctor Wu who can cure the dead and turn bones to white?"
Bai Rou'er nodded, her face pale. Li Bohan knew Doctor Wu. Would he refuse to treat her father?
Li Bohan pointed at Zhang Fan: "Uncle Wu, he's bullying people!"
The man with the goatee gave a wink, and the man in black behind him swung his fist at Zhang Fan.
The person lying on the ground reached out to stop it, but it was too late.
Zhang Fan grabbed the man's wrist and pressed down hard. With a crisp cracking sound, the man's arm hung limply, and he knelt on the ground, his face contorted in pain.
Wu Dao strode over, grabbed the man's arm, and pulled hard, putting the dislocated arm back in place.
Zhang Fan narrowed his eyes slightly; he was quite capable.
Wu Dao's face turned ashen: "Since you don't welcome me, I'll just leave."
Bai Rou'er quickly chased after him: "Dr. Wu, please wait! My father is ill. I need your help. I'll give you whatever money you want."
A glint flashed in Wu Dao's eyes as he stroked his goatee: "Seeing how filial you are, I can go and see him, on the condition that he kneels down and apologizes to this old man."
Bai Rou'er looked troubled and explained, "He is my friend, and besides, Li Bohan started it first."
Seeing that Bai Rou'er was acting like this for a man, Li Bohan became even angrier: "Bai Rou'er, I went to great lengths to find Doctor Wu, he's more than capable of marrying you, and yet you treat me like this for some random man!"
Seeing that the reward was out of reach, Wu Dao quickly tried to smooth things over: "Let's go see the patient first."
Bai Rou'er led the way with hope in her eyes.
Zhang Fan followed him inside.
The interior of the villa is even more luxurious than the exterior, with countless crystal chandeliers hanging vertically from the fifth floor, arranged in a flowing water pattern.
In the middle bedroom on the second floor, there lay a man who bore a striking resemblance to Bai Rou'er.
Wu Dao took her pulse with a solemn expression. Bai Rou'er subconsciously grabbed Zhang Fan's arm, her hand tightening involuntarily.
