Zhang Fan ran over as fast as he could.
The closer they got, the clearer Xiao Hei's voice became.
"Little Black!"
Zhang Fan called out, and Xiao Hei hesitated for a moment before responding loudly.
Upon arriving at the source of the sound, Zhang Fan came to a retaining wall. He stood on the edge of the retaining wall and looked down, but did not see Xiao Hei.
The retaining wall wasn't high, but the drop was still over ten meters. It was alright for Xiao Hei, but it would be extremely dangerous if Gu Qing fell down.
Fortunately, they weren't down there, but we only heard shouts and didn't see anyone.
Zhang Fan cupped his hands around his mouth and said, "Little Black."
"Woof!"
The sound came from the fortified embankment, and there was a faint smell of blood in the air.
not good!
Without the slightest hesitation, Zhang Fan immediately climbed down the retaining wall.
Below is a naturally formed cave, but the view is blocked by rocks, so people above can't see it at all.
Zhang Fan tightened his abdominal muscles, released his hands, and landed steadily on solid ground in the cave.
Little Black immediately surrounded them, barking as it pointed its head into the hole.
Zhang Fan peered inside and saw that Gu Qing had a large hole in her head, her arm was cut by a stone, her trouser leg was torn, and the exposed skin was torn open, bloody and mangled, with many stones scattered around her.
She was holding a little girl in her arms. Her face was dirty and tear-stained, but she had no wounds.
Not far away was a slope made of piled-up rocks, but the top of the slope was blocked off, with no exit.
Zhang Fan immediately squatted down and placed his hand on Gu Qing's wrist. She had suffered severe internal injuries and her life was in danger if she did not receive timely treatment.
He helped Gu Qing up, letting her lean against him. He then took the opportunity to check the little girl's pulse and found that she was just severely fatigued and frightened, and would be fine after a couple of days of rest.
Zhang Fan handed the little girl to Xiao Hei, who curled up into a circle and placed the little girl on its body as a cushion. Then it closed its eyes; it was tired today too.
With a rustling sound, Gu Qing's clothes were pulled open, revealing her fair breasts. Zhang Fan placed his palm on Gu Qing's chest and continuously channeled spiritual energy into her.
Gu Qing's heart was severely damaged, and she needed treatment as soon as possible. Even a second's delay could have led to her death. Pulling off her clothes would allow Zhang Fan to see the acupoints more clearly, making the treatment more effective.
Zhang Fan placed his large hand on Gu Qing's chest, channeling spiritual energy into her.
Gu Qing had a nightmare. She didn't know where she was walking. It was dark all around, and the cold was bone-chilling, like a snow-capped mountain that never melts, freezing her hands and feet stiff.
She gradually lost control of her limbs, feeling like an ice cube, and even her consciousness began to fade.
She thought she was going to die, but suddenly a warm current flowed through her chest and spread throughout her body via her blood.
Like a gentle spring breeze, it softly enveloped her body, and she couldn't help but sigh comfortably.
She didn't know how much time had passed, but she gradually felt her limbs, her hearing began to return, and she could even hear the whistling wind.
As her consciousness gradually gathered, her mind began to ponder: Where exactly was she?
She was trying to avoid a large bird when she lost her footing and fell into a cave, where she lost consciousness.
Her long, curled eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings as she lifted her heavy eyelids to see a handsome face with sharp features.
"Zhang Fan," she murmured softly.
Zhang Fan lowered his head, his amber eyes exceptionally gentle, his voice as warm as the spring sun: "You'll feel better after a good night's sleep."
She blinked, feeling her eyelids become unusually heavy, and couldn't help but close her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
After an unknown amount of time, Gu Qing slowly opened her eyes, and a face with distinct features came into view.
The setting sun slanted into the cave entrance, and the soft sunlight fell right on Zhang Fan's face, giving him a golden glow and making his already handsome face even more striking.
When Gu Qing realized she was lying on Zhang Fan's lap, her heart skipped a beat, her cheeks flushed, and her breathing became erratic for a moment.
She held her breath, and the sound of her heartbeat became clearer in her ears, thumping like a little deer running around wildly inside.
Noticing that Zhang Fan's eyelashes twitched, Gu Qing quickly closed her eyes.
Zhang Fan hadn't fallen asleep; he simply closed his eyes, sat quietly, and practiced breathing exercises.
He knew it when Gu Qing woke up, and she kept staring at him.
To avoid embarrassing the other party, Zhang Fan pretended not to know anything, stopped his breathing at a crucial point, and closed his eyes to cultivate again.
Gu Qing waited for a long time but Zhang Fan didn't speak, so she quietly opened her eyes and found that Zhang Fan had fallen asleep again.
She stole glances at Zhang Fan for a while longer, until she felt her body stiffen and become increasingly uncomfortable. Finally, she couldn't help but move slightly, and with that slight movement, her cheeks turned even redder.
A flag was raised slightly.
Zhang Fan thought to himself, "My young body can't handle even the slightest stimulation." He slowly opened his eyes, pretending to be half asleep, and asked, "You're awake?"
Gu Qing quickly averted her gaze, softly hummed in agreement, her cheeks flushed like the sunset outside the cave: "It was you who saved me again."
How did you end up in the cave?
Gu Qing: "Just now, a bird tried to catch this child, but I chased it away. Then I didn't see the path and stepped into a hole and fell in. Xiao Hei followed me in, and right after it came in, the entrance to the hole was blocked by rocks."
She tried to straighten up but found she couldn't muster the strength. Zhang Fan helped her up, and Gu Qing continued, "How did you find this place?"
When she fell, a rock hit her chest, and the pain made her spit out her saliva. She knew she couldn't delay, so she endured the excruciating pain and tried to climb back, but the rocks were like sand, falling down with the slightest touch, like rain.
