Chapter 41 The two reconcile

Bai Rou'er suddenly opened her eyes, glaring at her beer belly, and said, "Wei Luo, don't push your luck!"

Wei Luo, patting his beer belly, laughed: "The money was borrowed by your stepmother. I heard she's in prison. I told you before, today is the deadline. If you can't close a single deal, we'll take over the shop."

Bai Rou'er gritted her teeth: "You've poached the head chef, how are we supposed to make any orders now!"

Wei Luo smiled slyly; "Then that's none of our business. It's 10 a.m. now, you have 14 hours left, no, 13 hours and 59 minutes left."

Bai Rou'er glared at Wei Luo hatefully: "Shameless!"

With a smug grin, Wei Luo passed by Zhang Fan and sneered, "Young man, the Bai family's problems are too much for you to handle. You'd better run away as soon as possible."

Zhang Fan: "Laugh now, but you won't be laughing in a minute."

Wei Luo remained unaffected: "Young people are just arrogant."

Bai Rou'er leaned on Zhang Fan's shoulder, sobbing, "Zhang Fan, why are you here? Didn't you say you didn't want me anymore?"

She pounded on Zhang Fan's chest, releasing all the pent-up frustration of the past few days: "You've been ignoring me, so why did you come looking for me?"

As she spoke, Bai Rou'er stood up, trying to create some distance between them.

Zhang Fan grabbed Bai Rou'er's wrist: "I had something to do up ahead of me, but I knew you needed me, so I came right away."

How did you know?

Where's your phone?

Bai Rou'er searched for a while and realized she had been too busy and hadn't even known she'd left her phone at home.

Zhang Fan put his arm around her shoulder and said, "Okay, let's solve this problem first."

Bai Rou'er already missed Zhang Fan, and after being coaxed a couple of times, she decided to stop while she was ahead: "We'll settle this score later. Thank you for helping me."

She turned around and glanced behind her: "After today, this restaurant may have nothing to do with me anymore. Can you walk with me for a bit?"

The two walked hand in hand into the Kelai Restaurant.
