Chapter 86 Ruining Reputation?

As soon as she opened it, Li Jingjing saw Zhang Fan, a tall man, curled up in a ball with two pink bras hanging on his face.

She had just casually shoved it in his face, not expecting it to be her own underwear.

Li Jingjing's face flushed instantly, but when she saw that Long Ping could see Zhang Fan as soon as she turned around, her face turned pale with fright.

Long Ping noticed Li Jingjing's frequently changing expression and asked worriedly, "Are you feeling unwell?"

Li Jingjing shook her head and, taking advantage of the moment when Long Ping was talking to her, went over and closed the cabinet door: "Mom, I'm suddenly sleepy. You should go back to sleep first. We can talk about it tomorrow."

Long Ping felt sorry for her daughter and nodded in agreement. She watched Li Jingjing lying on the bed, carefully covered her with a blanket, turned off the bedside lamp, and then left the room.

Only after hearing Long Ping walk away did Li Jingjing breathe a sigh of relief.

He lifted the covers and quietly opened the closet door, careful not to disturb Longping.

She was sickly as a child, often getting ill and taking a lot of hormone medication, which is why she was so chubby in elementary school.

Longping was afraid that she might die accidentally, so she would come to see her at the slightest sign of trouble.

Li Jingjing lowered her voice: "Zhang Fan, you should leave now."

Zhang Fan: "I'm here to treat your illness."

Seeing that persuasion was useless, Li Jingjing said, "To tell you the truth, I have a strange illness. I often have chest pains. I went to get my heart checked and there was nothing wrong with it. I also read medical books, but it didn't help. I have a feeling that I'm going to die."

Zhang Fan looked at Li Jingjing with bright eyes, but still couldn't tell that she was sick.

He frowned and placed his hand on Li Jingjing's pulse, but got the same result.

It can only be touched by hand.

Li Jingjing indirectly gave him the jade beads of the "Wuji Jing" so that he could learn the ability of divination.

The two even had intimate contact; she was practically his woman. Zhang Fan, being a doctor, certainly couldn't stand idly by.

Li Jingjing was startled by Zhang Fan's piercing gaze. She withdrew her wrist, took a step back, and said sternly, "Zhang Fan, you'd better leave right now, or I'll call for help."

In her panic, she kicked a chair leg and instinctively grabbed Zhang Fan. Zhang Fan was very steady and pulled her back with just a gentle tug.

Li Jingjing spun around, pressing her body tightly against Zhang Fan, and her naturally red lips landed perfectly on Zhang Fan's face.

She was so shocked that her pupils widened, and she remained frozen in place.

After a while, she felt a touch on her chest and came back to her senses.

Zhang Fan held her slender, fair wrist with one hand, trapping her in his arms, while his other hand reached for her chest.

With normal breast tissue and a normal heartbeat, Zhang Fan confidently stated, "You're not sick, and your period is coming soon."

Li Jingjing stopped trying to push Zhang Fan away, then suddenly looked up. She stared at Zhang Fan blankly, her voice trembling, and asked, "Is what you said true?"

"It's true, your chest pain is because you like to lie face down, which puts pressure on your ribs."

"I really like lying on my stomach." Li Jingjing's eyes widened, her voice high-pitched, and she hugged Zhang Fan and kissed him: "That's great, I'm really not sick!"

Her aunt didn't allow it, and even she herself didn't know when it would come, but her stomach would hurt before it came, so she believed Zhang Fan's words.

The noise was so loud that it woke Long Ping up. Li Jingjing quickly pushed Zhang Fan onto the balcony.

Longping felt that Li Jingjing was acting very strangely today, insisting on sleeping next to Li Jingjing no matter what.

Li Jingjing could only hug her blanket and silently look out the window, wondering if Zhang Fan had left.

Seeing that Li Jingjing had resolved her worries, Zhang Fan climbed off the balcony and went home.

On his way home, he witnessed an appalling scene.

The grass not far from the roadside swayed constantly, and the overlapping bodies of ketones were faintly visible, two lumps of fat that were quite an eyesore.

He scoffed dismissively, shook his head, and left.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Li Chunyan went to check on her kimchi.

A kimchi jar was opened, and she thought she had forgotten to put the lid back on. After checking and finding no small insects, she put the lid back on.

The kimchi is almost ready; we can notify Bai Rou'er to come and pick it up.

Once he has earned enough money, Zhang Fan will be able to have the surgery.

She went into the kitchen and hummed a song as she made breakfast.

Breakfast had just been prepared when there was a knock on the door.

Li Chunyan walked out of the kitchen and paused for a moment when she saw Li Ting. She frowned and asked, "What is it?"

Li Ting leaned one leg against the wall and licked his lips: "About last night..."

Li Chunyan looked bewildered and asked irritably, "What happened last night?"

Li Ting patiently explained, "I haven't fed my pigs all day, and my mom would kill me if she found out, so I have to hurry back. It's really not my fault for not staying with you."

Li Chunyan's face darkened, and she frowned with obvious disdain: "Don't ruin my reputation. I have no connection with you whatsoever."

Stung by Li Chunyan's disdainful gaze, Li Ting lost his patience: "I took your things last night. If you still don't admit it, I don't mind letting everyone know."

Li Chunyan: "I said no, and that's final. Get out of here!"

Li Ting: "Don't regret it! Ah—"

Zhang Fan picked up a hoe and started chopping down, constantly turning up the soil on the ground.

Li Ting was so frightened that her hair stood on end, and she screamed as she hurriedly backed away.

"Get lost, or I'll cut you in two." Zhang Fan stood beside Li Ting, holding a hoe, glaring at him.

"You, Li Chunyan, keep Zhang Fan in check, or I won't let you off the hook!" Li Ting stood far away and said fiercely to Li Chunyan.

Zhang Fan picked up the hoe and strode towards Li Ting.

Li Ting covered his head and ran away screaming, "Zhang Fan killed someone! He killed someone!"

Li Chunyan: "Zhang Fan, you're being chased. Come and eat!"
