Li Jingjing's eyes darted away, her expression panicked, and her heart pounded like a drum.
Ji Zhi could tell what was going on in the two women just by looking at Li Jingjing's face. He was about to think of a way to cover it up when he heard Zhang Fan say calmly, "Sister-in-law, Li Jingjing hasn't drunk enough water. Her lips are all chapped."
Li Chunyan, without suspecting anything, quickly brought over a glass of water and handed it to Li Jingjing: "Look at you, drink water if you're thirsty."
Li Jingjing wasn't thirsty, but to go along with Zhang Fan's suggestion, she took the water and drank it in large gulps.
The glass of water was quickly emptied. Li Jingjing wanted to wash the glass, but Li Chunyan took it from her: "Thank you, Sister Chunyan. I have found what I was looking for."
As she finished speaking, Li Jingjing gave Zhang Fan a meaningful look and said, "Sister Chunyan, I'm going back now."
"Okay, come visit often." Li Chunyan smiled happily. Since Zhang Fan became mentally challenged, he hasn't had many friends. Now he has made quite a few friends, and maybe things will get better soon.
Ji Zhi glanced at Zhang Fan hurriedly, his eyes filled with envy. Zhang Fan was really lucky with women, with Bai Rou'er on the left and Li Jingjing on the right.
Li Chunyan invited Ji Zhi to stay for dinner, and Ji Zhi agreed without hesitation, thinking he would get to have a good meal again.
Shortly after the meal, Ji Zhi received a call informing him that Zhao Lin had arranged for a truck to transport the drone over and asked Ji Zhi to receive it.
When they figured it was about time, Ji Zhi came down the mountain and waited at the village entrance. Zhang Tiegen found out and offered to help. On the way, they met Zhang Jianye, who also joined the group.
The group had just arrived at the village entrance when the drone arrived. They unloaded the drone from the truck, and since they would need it the next day, they carried it to Zhang Youde's house.
The villagers had never seen this novel thing before, and they curiously followed behind to watch.
Under the old locust tree, the drone was placed on the ground, and villagers surrounded it in layers, their curious eyes taking in every angle of the drone.
The drone has six propellers and a bucket in the middle where pesticides can be added.
"This thing can be used to spray pesticides?"
"This thing is all iron, how did it fly up there?"
Someone curiously reached out to touch it, but Zhang Youde immediately stopped them: "This thing costs forty thousand yuan each, be careful not to break it."
These words startled everyone, who immediately withdrew their hands and took a step back, fearing they might accidentally damage the drone.
Everyone knew that the drone was a gift from Zhang Fan's friend, and they were all envious of Zhang Fan.
What an amazing friend! Two drones worth 80,000 yuan, given away just like that.
I wish I had a friend like that.
A girl with pigtails tugged at Zhang Fan's sleeve: "Brother Zhang Fan, can you fly a drone? Can we take a look?"
"Brother Zhang Fan, please open it for us to see."
Upon hearing this, the other children surrounded Zhang Fan and started chattering amongst themselves.
"I'll give it a try."
Zhang Fan glanced at the drone's instruction manual and quickly memorized how to use it. After having the crowd move to a safe distance, he operated the drone according to the manual.
"Boom!"
The propellers spun rapidly, the wind blowing people's hair wildly. Zhang Fan tapped "take off" on the screen, and the drone whooshed into the air.
"Wow--"
The crowd gasped in amazement, tilting their heads back and staring wide-eyed at the drone.
"Takeoff!"
"The drone has taken off!"
The children clapped their hands, jumped around, and beamed with joy.
It was the first time the villagers had ever seen a drone, and they were incredibly curious.
Zhang Fan piloted the drone, flying back and forth in mid-air, giving everyone a visual feast.
Unable to contain his curiosity, Zhang Tiegen asked Zhang Fan to tap the drone's control screen a couple of times, which gave him a thrill, making the others even more envious.
"Zhang Fan, can I give it a try?"
Zhang Fan glanced at Zhang Jiayao, Zhang Qingshan, and Ma Ying's child who were speaking: "No."
After retrieving the drone, Zhang Youde said, "It'll still be useful tomorrow, so let's make sure it doesn't run out of power."
Zhang Jiayao was more immature than his peers before. He would set fire to the firewood behind people's houses with a lighter, scare other children, throw insects at people's heads, or push people into the fields...
Anyway, he would cause trouble every few days. Other parents were not as good as him, but Ma Ying was a quarrelsome and shameless person who would never reason with anyone. So later on, no one allowed their children to play with Zhang Jiayao.
Previously, Ma Ying doted on Zhang Jiayao, praising him blindly. Even when Zhang Jiayao did something wrong, she could blame it on others, gradually making Zhang Jiayao arrogant and a notorious brat.
Later, his family suffered unexpected misfortunes, and Zhang Jiayao was frequently beaten by Zhang Qingshan. He fell from heaven to hell in an instant. After being beaten, he had nowhere to vent his anger, so he took it out on others.
The neighbors would avoid him whenever they saw him, not because they couldn't beat him, but because he was a troublesome brat and getting into trouble would only bring more problems.
"You idiot, you're so stingy! No wonder you're an idiot, it's all karma, you deserve to die!"
At such a young age, he speaks so maliciously and uses foul language. Families with children immediately cover their children's ears, fearing that their children will learn these words.
"This was a gift to Zhang Fan. Whether or not you can touch it is their right," Aunt Pang couldn't help but say.
This stirred up a hornet's nest, and Zhang Jiayao turned his anger towards Aunt Pang.
"I'm just touching it, it won't break anything, what's there to show off? Besides, it's none of your business to say this. You're just a barren hen, what right do you have to speak?"
"You..." Aunt Pang's chest heaved violently with anger; her inability to have children had always been a source of heartache for her.
"How can someone so young say such things?" Zhang Tiegen patted Aunt Pang on the back to comfort her.
