Chapter 26 The Disqualified Saniwa 2
Mori's predecessor as Saniwa was codenamed Tobi, and was a male Saniwa. While Mori was in the citadel, he frequently broke swords maliciously, resulting in numerous short sword fragments within the citadel.
Rare swords are scarce in the Touhou Honmaru, which may be why he directed his anger at the child-shaped dagger.
In the Touhou Honmaru
The gentle smile that usually graced Mikazuki's face, now stained with blood, was gone; the once tender moonlight had turned cold.
The katana he held was still dripping blood, and before him stood Imaizumi, a short sword of the same Sanjo school, one of the Five Great Swords of the World.
The usually lively and cheerful little tengu lay motionless on the ground, his tender face stained with blood and dirt.
Upon hearing the commotion, Yagen rushed over immediately. The short sword, dressed in battle attire, knelt beside Imaizumi to assess the situation.
There's still hope!
These words brought Mikazuki back to his senses, and a glimmer of hope appeared in his lifeless eyes.
As the two hurriedly fled with Imaizumi, Hiu watched everything from inside the castle tower. He could have stopped Yagen from rescuing Imaizumi, but he didn't.
If there are too many broken swords, some of them will start to get restless, and he doesn't want his fun to end so quickly. He understands the importance of moderation.
Yagen quickly took Imaizumi to the infirmary and used the resources he had secretly hoarded from the battlefield that day to repair him.
Thank you so much...
Yagen shook his head; Imaizumi's injuries were too severe, and these resources wouldn't be enough for his full recovery.
"It should at least be able to recover to the level of a moderate injury."
Yagen looked at the somewhat forlorn Five Swords of the World.
It might be impolite to think that way, but ever since Mikazuki appeared, that scumbag briefly shifted his gaze away from Awataguchi, giving them a chance to catch their breath.
Conversely, the three factions have repeatedly suffered.
Feiyu has a great fondness for studying strange and unusual formations. Despite lacking the talent himself, he always manages to create formations with bizarre effects.
As for the test subjects, they were naturally these sword spirits that he considered worthless.
Countless swords and knives shattered during experiments.
Why haven't any swords killed their masters yet? Because Touyu is very vigilant. He has never deactivated the protective array provided by the government, and even recently, when he went to the general store, he carried the Saniwa-exclusive protective charm.
They are extremely afraid of death.
He probably knows how much hatred his actions provoke.
Feiyu, smug and self-satisfied, believed he had done a good job of protecting himself, unaware that he was about to face dire consequences.
Meanwhile, in Hanshu's citadel, the team that would be going into battle with Hanshu this time had already donned their battle uniforms.
Mikazuki Munechika, Mouri Toshiro, Taiko Bell Sadamune, Kokomaru, Ichijin, Tsurumaru Kunei
Ichigo Hitofuri looked at his somewhat uneasy younger brother with a worried expression. This time, Awataguchi had only brought one short sword. Kanshu had already roughly guessed the horrific scene within that citadel.
She stood in front of the procession, watching the tsukumogami (spirits) ready to depart.
"Be prepared, especially you."
Han Zhou's gaze fell upon the two swords of Awataguchi, one from that dark citadel, and the other from the head of Awataguchi.
Ichigo Hitofuri is gentle and mature; regardless of whether they come from the same citadel, protecting his younger brother is his instinct.
He would subconsciously worry, and it was precisely because of this that when his beloved younger brother was harmed, Ichigo Hitofuri's sword was easily affected.
While Hanshu has the ability to exorcise the corrupted, that doesn't mean she wants to see Ichigo Hitofuri fall into corruption.
Upon seeing Ichigo Hitofuri's resolute gaze, and to prevent Hiyori from detecting their arrival prematurely, he did not use the Time-Space Converter but instead used his own power to transport the tsukumogami through time.
Hanzhou concealed his and his fellow tsukumogami's presence, making them invisible to everyone. They were simply mistaken for air or plants.
The moment Hanfune arrived at this citadel, he felt an extreme sense of unease; the entire citadel was filled with a repulsive atmosphere.
"That's Yagen!"
Ichigo Hitofuri stared in shock at the short sword that had just emerged from around the corner. Even within the citadel, he hadn't removed his battle uniform, indicating he was extremely wary of his surroundings.
Seeing the other party's flustered appearance, Han Zhou decided to follow them and see what was going on.
Yagen hurriedly grabbed bandages from his room, and was just about to return to the inn to bandage Imaizumi when he saw Hiu walking towards him.
He quickly tucked the bandage into his clothes, pretending nothing had happened. A very casual greeting.
"My Lord"
Feiyu naturally noticed the other party's subtle actions just now, but didn't expose them now.
Where are you planning to go?
Yagen frowned almost imperceptibly. If it was about entering the room, who knows what this guy might do to Imaizumi.
"Just looked around, didn't do anything special."
Yagen's expressions are usually rather limited; he is generally calm and only smiles on rare occasions. Within the Touhou Honmaru, however, his expression is even more aloof.
Those purple eyes held a murderous intent.
Fei Yu smiled without saying a word, just as he was about to tackle the drug research challenge, a sharp pain shot through his knee; the attack had pierced right through his protective shield.
The immense force caused him to fall forward uncontrollably, landing squarely on his knees in front of Yagen. Even Yagen was stunned by this sudden turn of events.
He frowned and looked around, finding no one else in sight. Then... why was this happening?
That last strike hadn't been held back much; Fei Yu's knees slammed against the wooden floor with a dull thud, demonstrating the force of the blow.
"What?! Who was it?!" Fei Yu looked around in panic, trying to find the person who attacked him. But there was no one in sight.
Just as he was about to get up, the force from the back of his head sent him crashing face-first into the floor!
Bang!
Who took these actions? It was Han Zhou.
Of course, she had no intention of touching this scumbag with her hands; all her actions involved kicking him directly. Han Zhou was currently wearing wooden clogs, so you can imagine how much pain he was in.
It seems our lord is very angry...
This is what all the accompanying spirits are thinking at this moment.
Hiyori, who had suffered a severe blow, had fallen into a coma. Yagen, gripping his short sword, cautiously surveyed every blade of grass and tree around him.
"Who is it?!"
Now Han Zhou no longer concealed himself, and Ya Gen stared incredulously at the person who appeared before him—the person from his memories.
But he did not put down his dagger and remained vigilant.
"Yagen-ni!" Mori immediately pounced on him. Even though he wasn't Touhou's sword spirit now, he could still distinguish his companions.
Even if the spiritual energy has changed, this familiar feeling...
"You are... Mori?" Yagen stared incredulously at the green-haired little swordsman who was hugging him.
"The rest is up to you." Han Zhou looked at the tsukumogami behind him. Whatever the grudges, it was better to resolve them himself.
She looked at Mori, who was holding the yamine.
"Whatever choice you make, just go ahead and do it. I'll back you up."
