Yinzhen's wedding was much more grand than Yinzhi's wedding.
It wasn't that Yinzhi was bad, but rather that Yinzhen's entourage was too grand and too impressive.
That makes sense. He was one of only two legitimate sons of the Qing Dynasty. Although he wasn't the biological son of the Imperial Noble Consort who was later elevated to the rank of Empress, they were treated as if he were her own. Even his imperial genealogy was altered, making him clearly the son of the Imperial Noble Consort.
The wedding ceremonies for legitimate sons and illegitimate sons are not the same.
Furthermore, with Yinreng occasionally paying attention and secretly providing subsidies, it's estimated that for the next ten years or so, no one in the Qing Dynasty could hold a more lively wedding than this one.
The Ulanara clan is overjoyed today. Although the bride is Feiyanggu's daughter, the whole clan is honored and proud.
Yinzhen successfully married his beautiful wife, and he felt that getting married was not as difficult as his elder brother and Yinzhi had said.
The questions that blocked the groom's way at the door were so simple that he suspected they were asked on purpose.
Wasn't it intentional?
Ulanara Fanghui's brothers had been preparing difficult questions a month in advance, intending to make Yinzhen suffer today so that they would treat their daughter with more care.
To their surprise, Yinzhen arrived with a cold expression, which made them wonder if the Fourth Prince didn't want to marry him.
Therefore, all the difficult questions were replaced with extremely simple ones, for fear of upsetting Yinzhen and causing him to take his anger out on his daughter.
With his naturally cold demeanor, Yinzhen got a great deal and easily completed his wedding.
Even the celebratory banquets held upon his return to the palace, and the reception of guests, were all handled perfectly by Yinreng.
Comparison is the thief of joy. Yinzhi thought about how he had passed out drunk on his wedding night, while Yinzhen had barely drunk a few sips of wine and his eyes were clear.
Yin Zhi reluctantly stepped forward with a wine cup in hand: "Fourth brother, congratulations! I'll drink this cup first as a sign of respect, you can drink as you like."
Yin Zhi had only a thin layer of wine left in his glass. He tilted his head back and drank it all, his eyes burning as he waited for Yin Zhen to finish his full glass.
Yinzhen raised his wine glass: "Thank you for your blessing, Third Brother."
He took a step forward, then suddenly seemed to trip over something and stumbled.
The wine in his glass spilled onto the ground as he lost his balance.
"Third Brother, I'll drink it too." Yinzhen held up the cup, which was completely soaked with wine, and poured it into his mouth with a serious expression.
Yin Zhi was so angry he wanted to curse. The floor of the hall was flat and clean; even a blind person wouldn't trip over it.
If you deliberately spill the wine because you don't want to drink it, at least make it look convincing.
"Fourth brother, let me fill your bar again!" Yin Zhi said.
Yinzhen raised his phoenix eyes and looked at him indifferently. Although he was not as tall as Yinzhi, his imposing manner made Yinzhi feel flustered and uneasy.
"Third Brother, I appreciate your blessing. But too much alcohol is bad for your health, so I won't drink anymore. Third Brother, you should also drink less. If you get so drunk that you pass out like last time, Third Sister-in-law might tear this place down," Yinzhen joked.
Yin Zhi didn't think he was joking at all; this was clearly a threat, a reminder of the joke from six months ago.
Seeing that Yinzhi looked unwell, Yinreng was unwilling to let him cause trouble at Yinzhen's wedding without considering the consequences.
That's really bad luck.
"Third brother, fourth brother has a weak stomach and can't drink much. Come over here, I'll drink with you, and we brothers can share in the joy of fourth brother's wedding." Yinreng put his arm around Yinzhi's shoulder and dragged him away.
Yinzhi was exceptionally docile in front of Yinreng, and followed the force of Yinreng's arm to go elsewhere.
Yinzhen's thin lips curled up slightly; his second brother treated him so well.
The royal family held several celebratory banquets in succession, and the attendees were all quite tired.
They made a lively scene to warm up Yinzhen's wedding banquet, letting him go to the bridal chamber early to choose the bride's veil.
Ulanara Fanghui is more popular than Dong'e Hailan; just look at the relatives and wives in the new house today.
The First Consort had finished her postpartum confinement and was in good health, with a hint of affluence on her face.
Having been accustomed to being the eldest sister-in-law, she introduced her sisters-in-law and relatives to Ulanara Fanghui, quickly bringing everyone closer together.
Hongzhao and Tana were borrowed to sit on the bed as usual. The chubby babies' faces grew more and more beautiful as they matured, making all the wives adore them.
Upon entering the room, Yinzhen first greeted the elders: "Second Sister-in-law, Eldest Sister-in-law, Third Sister-in-law, Aunts, thank you very much."
"Fourth brother, you're too kind. We're all family. Of course, we'll come to celebrate your wedding," Tong Wanyan said.
The First Princess continued, "Look at Fourth Brother today, he's in high spirits because of this happy occasion. His energy is truly extraordinary. Fourth Sister-in-law is a good person, so you mustn't bully her in the future."
"With my sister-in-law and all the other sisters-in-law and aunts here, how could I dare to do that? I will certainly cherish and respect my wife." Yinzhen said shrewdly.
Everyone present was delighted to hear that Yinzhen was giving them face.
Ulanara Fanghui blushed even more, her eyes filled with affection.
Ulanara Fanghui is very young. Although today is her wedding day with Yinzhen, they will not consummate their marriage.
Without worrying about disturbing the newlyweds' wedding night, the women can have as much fun as they want.
Looking at the two girls' shy expressions, they felt incredibly content.
Following the guidance of Granny Xi, Yinzhen and Ulanara Fanghui completed the rituals of lifting the veil and drinking the nuptial wine step by step.
The two sat side by side by the wedding bed, and only then did they truly feel the meaning of spending their lives together.
"Fourth Uncle, give me a hug."
Not long after Yinzhen sat on the bed, Tana, who was lying on the inside of the bed, kicked her little legs and jumped onto Yinzhen's back.
Yinzhen turned around in surprise, his face beaming with joy.
"Fourth Uncle's Tana." Yinzhen's face lit up with joy, and he turned around with a wide smile to pick Tana up and put her on his lap, his movements incredibly skillful.
Ulanara Fanghui tilted her head curiously and looked at the chubby, fair-skinned Tana: "Tana, I am your fourth aunt."
