Chapter 201 I'll take you back.

The double spiel of Yinzhen and Ulanara Fanghui startled Tong Wanyan.

The First Princess Consort, who hadn't even stepped out of the door, turned back in surprise to look at the newlyweds.

Upon seeing this, she burst out laughing.

My fourth sister-in-law is still a child. How can we let them be like they were on their wedding day, eager to consummate the marriage as soon as possible?

"Second Sister-in-law, my husband and I can't consummate our marriage tonight. Tana and Hongzhao are so adorable and endearing. Before, when I was outside the palace, I couldn't see them often. Now that we can finally spend more time together, I'm actually a little reluctant to part with them," Ulanara Fanghui said softly.

Yinzhen supported her shoulder and echoed, "Second Sister-in-law, Second Brother drank quite a bit while stopping others from drinking in the front hall. He might get drunk and hurt someone, so you'll definitely have to take care of him. Besides, the Prince's residence is quite a distance from Yuqing Palace, so it's inconvenient for you to take Tana and Hongzhao back alone."

Tong Wanyan easily lifted her chubby daughter in her arms; Hongzhao hadn't complained of being tired even after standing for so long.

"Fourth brother, forget about Liutana and Hongzhao. On your wedding day, no matter what, you should be spending time with your new wife. Do you think your wife married you just to take care of your niece?" Tong Wanyan said with a smile.

Ulanara Fanghui blushed and said, "Second Sister-in-law, I'm very willing."

Husband and wife are a perfect match; it's true that birds of a feather flock together.

No matter what the young couple said, Tong Wanyan remained unmoved: "You two are wasting your breath. I'm taking these two chubby little ones back no matter what. Even if I can't carry them, the servants following behind aren't just for show."

"Fourth brother, let's not waste this beautiful night." Tong Wanyan said meaningfully.

The First Princess Consort also said, "Fourth Brother, don't be shy. The Second Princess Consort and I will not disturb you any longer."

The door creaked shut, and the dragon and phoenix candles crackled and burned.

Yinzhen glanced at Ulanara Fanghui, and Ulanara Fanghui glanced at Yinzhen.

The two sat together, stealing glances at each other, their faces flushed and their ears turning red.

"My lady, I promised your father and brothers that I would treat you well." Yinzhen felt uneasy, but he tried his best to appear calm.

Ulanara Fanghui's heart trembled with heat. She said, "I will manage the household well for you, Master, and not hold you back, so that you can focus all your attention on state affairs."

"Why are you acting so dignified at such a young age? I'm not that inconsiderate." Yinzhen wanted to try to get along with his wife like his second brother and sister-in-law.

“My mother and the governess both instructed me that after I marry the prince, I must be frugal, respectful to my superiors, and kind to my inferiors, to be a qualified prince’s wife, and not to be willful,” Ulanara Fanghui said.

With her youthful, apple-shaped face, she clearly still looks like a child, yet she insists on acting like an adult.

Yinzhen pinched her cheek. He remembered that his second brother often did this to his second sister-in-law, and she would occasionally pinch him back with a smile.

“Sir, I haven’t removed my makeup and washed yet, your hands will have powder on them,” Ulanara Fanghui said. “Besides, this behavior is improper.”

Yinzhen blinked, his little princess consort seemed like a decadent old scholar: "She doesn't act like this in front of outsiders."

“Cultivating both inner and outer qualities is the right path,” Ulanara Fanghui said honestly.

Yinzhen couldn't continue: "You must be tired today. Go wash up and come back to rest early. You're still young, you need to sleep more to grow tall. Your eldest sister-in-law and second sister-in-law probably secretly gave you some of the snacks, right? Should we ask the kitchen to make another bowl of noodles?"

Ulanara Fanghui unconsciously touched her stomach: "I was worried that it would be improper, so I didn't eat."

"You haven't had a drop of water since you woke up this morning?" Yinzhen frowned, looking at her with concern.

"We just drank the nuptial wine," Ulanara Fanghui said.

"Su Peisheng, have the kitchen quickly prepare a bowl of easy-to-cook, low-oil porridge and send it over," Yinzhen said urgently.

Seeing Yinzhen's flustered reaction, Ulanara Fanghui was filled with unease.

She loved her husband and wanted to be the best wife she could be.

However, after listening to her mother and the governess's words, the master seemed unhappy.

"Master, did I do something wrong?" Ulanara Fanghui asked, her eyes red.

She looked like a frightened little rabbit, her eyes wet with tears, and Yinzhen's heart softened immediately.

Why is he arguing with a child? The wife is still young; he can teach her slowly.

As long as she has him in her heart and is inherently upright, that's enough.

"The Forbidden City will also be your home from now on. You don't need to be so careful at home. Rules are nothing more than human relationships, and besides, most of those rules are for servants. You are the master, and you have the status to be unrestrained. If you don't eat for a day and just drink alcohol, even if it's low-alcohol fruit wine, it will still hurt your stomach. You're young and don't know how uncomfortable it is to be unwell, so don't hold it in like this in the future. If you're worried about not doing it right, just ask me first," Yinzhen said patiently.

"Is Master concerned about me?" Ulanara Fanghui asked with a sweet smile.

Her pearly white teeth, paired with her round, apple-shaped face, make you want to take a bite.

“You are my wife, so of course I care about you,” Yinzhen said.

Yinzhen said he needed it urgently, so the cook in the small kitchen hurriedly cooked a bowl of vegetable and minced meat porridge as quickly as possible. It was sparse in oil but still flavorful.

After filling her stomach, Ulanara Fanghui finally felt a sense of belonging in this unfamiliar place.

Tong Wanyan led Tana and Hongzhao out of the backyard, where Yinreng was waiting for her in the front yard.

When he stood under the old tree, waiting for her with a beaming smile, his appearance was particularly captivating.

"Let's go home," Yinreng said gently, taking the heavier Tana from him.

Tong Wanyan bent down, picked up Hongzhao, and stood beside him, saying, "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, Master."

"What about your fourth sister-in-law? Is she a good match for your fourth brother?" Yinreng asked as they walked.

Tong Wanyan said, "I heard that she was born in the 20th year of Kangxi's reign and just recently celebrated her tenth birthday. She is still quite childlike, but she is very upright and acts with great composure. She is a good match for Fourth Brother."

“One is fourteen years old, and the other is ten. They are both children, and they have really come together. If you ask me, I should have stopped Father Emperor from listening to Fourth Brother and bringing up Fourth Brother’s marriage so early,” Yinreng said.

Tong Wanyan casually pinched her son's chubby bottom and said in a good mood, "There are advantages to it being early. Fourth Brother is a restrained person and will not cross the line. He has a princess and a concubine in his backyard, and over time, feelings will inevitably develop. The sooner Fourth Sister-in-law marries in, the more she can develop feelings for Fourth Brother, and the better they will live in harmony in the future."

“They’re not that different ages, what could they possibly say? Don’t let Fourth Brother treat his wife like a younger sister. Look at how much he likes Tana, he must be someone who loves girls,” Yinreng guessed.

Tong Wanyan glared at him: "Can they be the same? Speaking of which, Grandpa reminded me. When I brought the two little ones out just now, my fourth brother and his wife both said they wanted to keep them. My sister-in-law was there too, and she was stunned by what she said."

Yinreng turned his head with a burning gaze: "How about I leave Tana and Hongzhao with my fourth brother now? If they like them, they can keep them. I'll just take you back."
