When Yinreng arrived, he overheard Tong Wanyan saying that she was happy.
Originally, he didn't plan to come back at noon; he intended to have a simple meal at the yamen (government office).
But upon hearing De Shun's report that Shi Fujin had entered the palace that morning, he could no longer sit still in the yamen.
When it was finally time for his meal, he hurriedly returned to the palace.
As a result, this heartless little brat even said he was happy.
What's making you happy?
She's laughing like an idiot even though her husband is about to be stolen away.
The old saying goes, "Pregnancy makes you stupid for three years, and having two children makes you stupid for six years." The ancients were right.
"Who made you happy?" Yinreng pushed open the door, feeling depressed.
He was anxious and worried because his darling was too naive.
Tong Wanyan looked at him with surprise and delight, then ran up to him and threw herself into his arms, wrapping her arms around his waist: "Why did you come back at noon today, Master?"
Yinreng loved the sticky, gooey feeling.
"I heard that Consort Shi has entered the palace. I was worried that you might overthink things, so I came back to see you," Yinreng said.
Tong Wanyan winked at Xia Zhu triumphantly, "See how much her husband misses her?"
Xia Zhu smiled happily. It was the best thing that her mistress was so well pampered by the Crown Prince.
The two's subtle actions could not escape Yinreng's notice.
Yinreng looked down at Tong Wanyan, waiting for her explanation.
"I just told Xia Zhu that Grandpa only has me in his heart and will always protect me. I'm so happy," Tong Wanyan said, leaning against his chest.
Yinreng raised the corners of his lips with a reserved smile: "Of course. I have made a promise to you, and I will keep it."
On New Year's Eve, he promised Tong Wanyan that she would be his only love in this life, and that he would rather betray thousands of others than betray her heart.
Tong Wanyan replied cheerfully, "Yes, I will always believe in you and stay by your side."
Yinreng's return was a last-minute decision, and Tong Wanyan had originally planned to have lunch with Tana and Hongzhao.
These two little ones can already drink rice cereal. In addition to drinking their nanny's breast milk, they will gradually start to eat complementary foods.
Baby food tastes much better than breast milk, and my two little gluttons love eating baby food with different flavors.
Not long after Yinreng sat down in the room, Tana and Hongzhao's wet nurses came over, having estimated the time.
As soon as they stepped into the South Courtyard, the little ones seemed to smell their mother's scent and excitedly darted into the wet nurse's arms.
The two wet nurses gritted their teeth and held the two men tightly around the waist, afraid that they would fall.
"Mother, Mother, your babies are here!" Hongzhao called out anxiously before even entering the house.
Yinreng was sitting inside, in a position from which Hongzhao could not see him.
Hearing Hongzhao's enthusiastic words, Yinreng couldn't help but feel jealous of his son.
He is Xiao Yan's baby!
Yinreng remained silent, but Tong Wanyan could still sense his temper.
"Why get angry with the child? He'll be someone else's husband in the future, but you're the one who will be with me for life," Tong Wanyan said, holding Yinreng's hand.
Yinreng's eyes lit up, and he proudly raised his chin to Hongzhao, saying, "Go find your wife. Your mother is my wife!"
He applied what he learned in a practical way; he was truly remarkable, and Yinreng was extremely proud of himself.
Tong Wanyan never expected that she had led Yinreng down the wrong path. What was all this about?
Hongzhao was dumbfounded; his father had actually come back to compete with him for his mother's affections.
“Father, Hongzhao is your baby too.” Hongzhao didn’t understand what his wife meant, but that didn’t stop him from acting cute with Yinreng.
Hongzhao has a bit of a naive and stubborn personality; he's always smiling at everyone, a real simpleton.
Without a word, Tana directed the wet nurse to carry her to Tong Wanyan's side.
She met Yinreng's gaze directly, defiantly opening her chubby little arms to Tong Wanyan: "Mother, hug me."
"What hug? Father will hug you," Yinreng said.
Tana pursed her lips and slurped up the saliva that had accidentally spilled out of her mouth while she was talking.
"Father, you've worked hard. Mother, please hold me," Tana said.
Yinreng stared blankly at Tana, who smiled at him, revealing her tiny teeth.
He was furious, so angry he had nowhere to vent his anger.
The little baby is almost a spirit before he's even grown up.
She knew how to fool him, and then try to steal his heart.
What do you mean by feeling sorry for him being tired? She's clearly just using sweet words to shut him up and prevent him from saying anything bad about her. She's so clever and mischievous, no wonder she's his daughter.
Yinreng was both pleased and helpless, and he temporarily abandoned the idea of having another child with Tong Wanyan.
The first two have already exhausted him; if another one comes along to compete for his favor, his position might be pushed to the very edge.
Hongzhao couldn't understand it at all. He said nice things to his father, and his father even let his sister sit in his mother's lap.
Shouldn't Father take Sister away so that Mother can hold her?
Unable to figure it out, Hongzhao gave up on the idea of competing with Tana for Tong Wanyan's affections.
He likes his older sister, so he should give their mother to his older sister first.
The cub's instincts prevented Hongzhao from fussing for Yinreng to hold him.
He sat obediently on his specially made little chair, waiting for the fragrant, drowsy sleep to begin.
Yinreng and Tana vied for Tong Wanyan's attention, their mature laughter mingling with the little baby's exasperation, creating a scene of family happiness.
Yinreng finally managed to steal a kiss on Tong Wanyan's cheek, feeling sweet inside, when suddenly his knee felt like it had been hit by something.
A moment later, his knee was hit again.
This has happened repeatedly; how can this be tolerated?
Yinreng looked down at the table and saw two small blue shoes. He knew without looking that they belonged to Hongzhao.
Hongzhao stared blankly at the table, his sapphire blue jacket making his chubby face appear even whiter.
“Hongzhao,” Yinreng said in a low voice, having found the culprit.
Hongzhao swung his legs happily, kicking his feet straight.
“Father, Hongzhao is here!” Hongzhao turned to Yinreng and said sweetly.
In his excitement, he accidentally sprayed some saliva onto Yinreng's face, which had a milky smell.
Tong Wanyan listened to their commotion and stared wide-eyed at Yinreng and Hongzhao.
"What's wrong with you two now?" Tong Wanyan asked curiously, with a hint of watching a show.
Hongzhao answered first, "Father misses me! Does Father want to hug Hongzhao?"
Looking into his expectant eyes, Yinreng couldn't bring himself to refuse.
Your own son, so try to spoil him as much as possible.
Originally intending to scold Hongzhao for his improper sitting posture, Yinreng was forced to say, "Yes, Father hasn't held Hongzhao in a long time."
“Father just held me yesterday! I know Father can’t be without me for a moment. Father, please hold me.” Hongzhao smiled like a little angel.
Yinreng picked him up and looked at Tong Wanyan: "Why does this sound so familiar to me?"
Tong Wanyan glared at him, embarrassed and annoyed: "That's what Master told me yesterday."
My son parroted my intimate conversations, and he did it with such innocent naivety. It's so embarrassing!
Yinreng burst out laughing. He was so thick-skinned that he didn't care at all what Hongzhao said.
The child was too young to understand, and what Hongzhao said was completely different from what he meant.
"I will be more careful next time," Yinreng said, suppressing a laugh.
