Tong Wanyan was jealous, but Yinreng was not.
He was happy to have someone raise his daughter for him, since the only person he truly loved was the one beside him.
Yinreng clearly distinguished between the mother and the child.

Tong Wanyan couldn't keep up the act any longer; she knew she had to love her own son.

Tana struggled to get down from Yinzhen's arms and stood on the ground, bowing to Yinreng and admitting her mistake together with Hongzhao.
Yinreng wasn't angry at all; his occasional youthful impulses made him find it amusing to bully his daughter and son.

"Then Father will punish you by making you skip one snack. Do you accept the punishment?" Yinreng asked.
“We acknowledge it,” Tana and Hongzhao said.
If a child is too well-behaved, they'll feel guilty if you try to bully them.
