The Tong family is known for having many ruthless and unscrupulous people; Tong Guogang is one, and his eldest son, Orondai, is another.
In the past, when Orondai and Tong Guogang would argue whenever they met, outsiders would say that it was because Orondai and Tong Guogang had the same temperament that Orondai was not kicked out of the family.

Tong Guogang held a teacup in his hands, brewing this year's new tea. He savored it carefully, but before he could taste anything, he was startled by his servant.
"Why are these two gentlemen suddenly coming over? Could it be that something happened to Yuanbao?" Tong Guogang became more and more panicked, the cup in his hand wobbling, and finally fell to the ground and shattered.
The servant standing at the door felt his heart shatter into countless pieces along with the broken cup.
Good heavens! A tea set worth a fortune, if even one piece breaks, it's all ruined.

Tong Guogang's heart is aching too, but right now all he can think about is his precious little daughter.
That was his darling; the whole family together couldn't compare to his precious daughter.
With tears in his eyes and a sorrowful expression, Tong Guogang went to greet Yinreng and Yinzhen.
Yinreng and Yinzhen exchanged a suspicious glance. What bad thing had happened to the Tong family? Could it be that a family member had passed away, for the Imperial Uncle Tong to be so grief-stricken?
That doesn't make sense! Given the Tong family's status, if someone were truly unwell, they would have already summoned an imperial physician.
"Lord Tong, my fourth brother and I have come uninvited, and we apologize for disturbing you." Yinreng put aside his many speculations and said with a gentle and refined expression.
Tong Guogang bowed with trembling hands: "This servant pays respects to the Crown Prince and the Fourth Prince."
"Lord Tong, please rise. I have come here with a request. I wonder if Orondai is at your residence?" Yinreng asked.
Tong Guogang looked at him with surprise: "Is something wrong with Yuanbao'er?"
Yinreng was completely baffled: "What does my coming to find Orondai have to do with Xiao Yan?"
Tong Guogang smiled happily, his eyes crinkling: "It's alright, it's alright. My wife keeps talking about how difficult Yuanbao'er's pregnancy has been, and it's made my heart flutter with worry for her every day. When I suddenly saw you and the Fourth Prince coming here, I thought something had happened to Yuanbao'er."
After hearing the explanation, Yinreng smiled lightly: "Xiao Yan has been feeling well lately, eating and sleeping well, so father-in-law can rest assured."
When Tong Wanyan was mentioned, Yinreng couldn't help but talk about her.
Tong Guogang nervously looked around. The servants in the mansion were far away, kneeling obediently with their heads bowed, so they probably hadn't heard Yinreng address him.
"Your Highness dotes on Yuanbao'er, and this servant is deeply grateful," Tong Guogang said cautiously.
However, he was secretly delighted. The Crown Prince called him father-in-law, which showed how much he liked his son, Yuanbao.
"Don't worry, Lord Tong. The most important thing about those who serve me is that they keep their mouths shut. Shall we go inside and talk?" Yinreng didn't provoke Tong Guogang any further and obediently addressed him according to protocol.
"Crown Prince, Fourth Prince, please." Tong Guogang stepped aside, inviting Yinreng and Yinzhen to go first.
"Go to Liulichang and call the old man back! Hurry up, don't keep the Crown Prince and Fourth Prince waiting!" Tong Guogang greeted Yinreng and Yinzhen with a friendly smile as they walked into the main hall.
Then, he turned around and gave orders to the servants following him, displaying the air of a duke.
