Chapter 302 Second Brother, what grudge do we have?

As soon as the carriage entered the palace gate, Yinzhen was thrown off the carriage.

Yinreng acted roughly, clearly having reached his limit of tolerance for this unruly child.

If Yinzhen were to squat down in the carriage again, his darling would probably pack her bags and head back to the Tong family home, never to come out again.

No wonder Consort Yi never hesitated to give him gifts; she must know her own son very well.

Yinzhen was holding a bundle of sweets and pastries, which still smelled tempting even after so long.

The pastries in the palace wouldn't have such a strong flavor, so it's perfectly normal that he couldn't finish eating them all outside the palace today.

Holding the precious object as if it were a treasure, Yinzhen strolled slowly back to the prince's quarters alone.

As soon as they arrived at the door, they were called away by Consort Yi's men.

Consort Yi was initially worried that he would leave the palace alone without his trusted confidants. However, when she saw the bundle that Yinzhen hadn't had time to move and the sugar frosting on his face, she flew into a rage.

"Yin Tang!" Consort Yi shouted angrily.

Yin Tang's slender legs trembled, and he almost knelt on the ground.

He shouldn't be losing weight; look how thin he's become, he can barely stand. Even his mother's soft voice can knock him over.

Yinzhen's mind was racing, but he appeared innocent and naive on the surface.

Coupled with his stunningly beautiful face, it's impossible not to like him.

Consort Yi was also taken aback by her son's wet eyes, and then became even angrier.

That rascal, he actually tried to seduce her with his honey.

They really do learn nothing good, but a whole bunch of bad things.

"Good child, you even brought back gifts for your mother after your trip out of the palace. Your mother has not spoiled you for nothing. Let your mother see what these are. This sweet fragrance, could it be the new rouge from the rouge shops in the capital?" Consort Yi approached with a smile and personally took the bundle that Yinzhen was so reluctant to let go of.

Yin Tang wished he could turn into a ball, wrap the bundle up tightly, so that no one could separate them.

Consort Yi chuckled softly, and Yin Tang's exposed skin was covered in goosebumps.

Mother is so scary!

"Little Jiu, you left the palace with the Crown Prince. Did you upset him when you came back?" Consort Yi suddenly stopped clinging to the bundle that Yin Tang was holding tightly.

Yinzhen let out a guilty sigh and said ingratiatingly, "Your son is so obedient, a truly wonderful younger brother, how could my second brother, the Crown Prince, be angry with me? He treats me so well; the money I used to buy Mother's gifts was borrowed from him. But it's not this one in my arms, it's for my tenth brother. Mother, I left your quilt at the princes' quarters; I didn't have time to get it when I arrived."

Consort Yi's smile deepened: "Really? But when the nanny came back, she said that she greeted you before you even entered the prince's residence."

Yinzhen blinked and looked up at Consort Yi, whose smile was radiant.

He took two steps back, as if he wanted to run away.

Even now, he still doesn't know why he was exposed the moment he walked in.

Was the dessert too sweet?

Consort Yi grabbed his ear without hesitation: "Open your bundle obediently for me."

"Can I not? Mother, this is full of Yin'e's favorite snacks. You know, the Imperial Concubine doesn't allow my tenth brother to eat them. But I'm his ninth brother, how can I bear to see him go hungry? So, Mother, can you let me go back first and let my tenth brother have a full stomach?" Yin Tang made a last-ditch effort.

Consort Yi had seen through his little tricks long ago, and she sneered, "Wipe the sugar off your face first."

Yinzhen incredulously loosened the bundle. The bundle wasn't tied tightly enough, and it fell to the ground and immediately came undone, revealing the various sizes of pastries inside that had been nibbled on.

"Second brother, what grudge do I have against you?!" Yin Tang wailed, looking at Consort Yi's gloomy face.
