Liu Shushu thought this person was simply a pervert!
But she was now in the wolf's den, with no chance of resistance.
It seems that only one person can save her now.
She had been deliberately delaying, hoping that Rong'er would send the message soon...
With that thought in mind, Wei Huaichong's fingers had already reached for the belt around her waist.
Feeling the loosening around her waist, she was startled and quickly pressed down on his large, mischievous hand, saying in a panic, "Didn't you say you'd let me think about it?"
Wei Huaichong leaned down and pressed her onto the couch again, his mocking voice close to her ear: "Don't think I don't know what you're thinking right now. You're waiting for the Crown Prince to come and save you, but he probably won't be able to come tonight."
Liu Shushu's pupils constricted sharply with fear; this time, she was genuinely terrified: "You... I don't understand what you're saying..."
"I might as well tell you that what happened today was actually a deal between Jin Heng and me. He had Princess Yongning ask me for something, and the condition I offered was you."
“Jin Heng…Grand Tutor Jin? I have never had any dealings with him. How could he…”
"No need for any connection, as long as there is profit, there will be transactions."
"But what does this have to do with the Crown Prince?"
"Jin Heng is a shrewd man. He anticipated this and sent the Crown Prince away beforehand. Right now, your Crown Prince is probably somewhere cuddling with his former lover. How could he possibly remember you, his former savior?"
She couldn't think of anyone else besides Liu Qingying as her former lover.
She gritted her teeth so hard they almost broke, and said resentfully, "What is the relationship between Liu Qingying and Jin Heng?"
"As far as I know, there shouldn't be any connection." Wei Huaichong smiled and added, "However, as long as the interests are aligned, there can be a connection."
"It seems you're also unaware of the implications?"
"It doesn't matter. I don't care what they're involved in. As long as they don't endanger me, I'll let them be."
She was speechless for a moment, her mind a jumbled mess. She felt betrayed by Wei Huaixu, and a surge of resentment almost overwhelmed her.
So, when Wei Huaichong leaned in again, she retaliated by reaching out and hooking her arm around the back of his neck, tilting her head slightly and kissing his lips.
He subtly curled the corners of his lips, pressed the back of her head, and took the initiative.
The clothes fell to the ground, and the shirtless man picked up the delicate woman and carried her into the inner room.
The bed curtains fell...
The moment Liu Shushu's back touched the bed, she suddenly became awake. Her previously confused eyes seemed to freeze over. She grabbed Wei Huaichong's wrist, turned her hand over, and a silver needle appeared between her two fingers.
Wei Huaichong realized something was wrong and was about to retaliate when he suddenly felt a tingling sensation all over his body and collapsed onto Liu Shushu's body.
"You used dirty tricks..." He gritted his teeth and tried to get up, but found that he couldn't muster any strength at all.
“Your Highness, have you forgotten that I also know medicine?” she whispered in his ear.
"If you dare to hurt me, you won't leave the Prince An's residence unscathed!"
"That is indeed a problem..."
She tried to push the person off her, but was startled by a loud "bang," and her elbow went limp, preventing her from moving.
"Shushu, Shushu, where are you?"
It was Wei Huaixu's voice.
Liu Shushu was overjoyed and, without thinking twice, quickly replied, "I'm here..."
Before she could finish speaking, she suddenly realized something and quickly pushed the person on top of her aside, frantically trying to straighten her messy clothes.
But the next second, Wei Huaixu had already lifted the bed curtains.
That's right, it was completely ripped off.
With no more cover, the scene on the bed was completely exposed—a woman with disheveled clothes sat on the outside of the bed, looking panicked; a man with his upper body bare lay on the inside of the bed, giving him a provocative smile.
He was stunned when he saw this scene.
"No, no, let me explain..." Liu Shushu turned to look at Wei Huaichong, the word "explain" that was about to come out stuck in her throat.
"I'll wait for you outside," Wei Huaixu said coldly before turning and leaving the room.
At this moment, Liu Shushu once again harbored murderous intent towards Wei Huaichong.
The latter, however, wore a smug, infuriating expression and said, "Do you think he'll be able to continue to be completely obedient to you after today?"
"I need not trouble Prince An with my affairs with His Highness the Crown Prince." She held the silver needles in her hand, barely managing to refrain from piercing his vital acupoints. She took a deep breath and got up from the bed.
Liu Shushu walked outside and saw a tall, upright man standing with his back to her in the courtyard.
She bit her lip and walked towards him.
"You believe me..."
She had barely opened her mouth when he turned around, wrapped a cloak around her, and interrupted her explanation in a nonchalant tone: "It's chilly at night, go home early."
When Liu Shushu met his cold gaze, she swallowed all the words she was about to say.
I can tell, he doesn't disbelieve me, he just doesn't care... So what's the point of her explaining?
"Let's go, we shouldn't stay here any longer." After saying that, Wei Huaixu started walking away.
Liu Shushu watched his indifferent back as he walked further and further away. After a moment, she closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, her mind was clear. She then quickly followed after him.
After leaving the Prince An's residence, Wei Huaixu instructed the coachman to safely return her to the General's residence before riding off on a fast horse.
Watching him leave without daring to utter a single complaint, Liu Shushu felt a pang of bitterness in her heart.
"Girl, let's hurry up and go," Rong'er said from the side.
"Um."
As she stepped into the carriage, she saw Aunt Liu lying inside, still unconscious, her clothes still covered in blood.
So she gave the coachman an instruction and drove to Jishetang.
Inside the carriage, Rong'er explained what would happen that night.
Just after Liu Shushu entered Wei Huaichong's bedchamber, she was stopped outside the courtyard. She made an excuse to wait in the carriage and found an opportunity to send a message to Wei Huaixu, only to receive news that Wei Huaixu had already left the capital.
"Since he has already left the capital, how could he have returned in such a short time?" Liu Shushu was very puzzled.
Rong'er shook her head. "This servant doesn't know either."
"Do you know what happened? Why would he leave the city for no reason?"
“This…” Rong’er hesitated, her eyes darting around.
"Speak quickly, stop beating around the bush."
Rong'er lowered her head and whispered, "His Highness heard that Liu Qingying had been kidnapped, so he rushed out of the city without stopping."
"Just as he said..." Liu Shushu muttered.
"What?" Rong'er didn't hear clearly.
"It's nothing. Do you see if we're almost at Jishetang?"
Since she was unwilling to say, Rong'er naturally didn't press the matter. She lifted the carriage curtain and glanced outside, then replied, "Soon."
Liu Shushu nodded and then shut up and asked no more questions.
