Chapter 2 Jialuo
Wen Zhi was playing with the baby, listening to what his master and second senior brother said, and looking up at them.
He smiled and said to Wen Heng: "Master, since we are raising this child now, why don't we give him a name?"
"How else are we going to call her? We can't just call her a baby!"
Fu Jiuhuai looked at the baby in Wen Zhi's arms with a smile in his eyes: "Yes, Master, give her a name. If you find her family in the future, if they don't like it, you can change it!"
"Okay!" He said, looking out the window.
After a moment, he slowly said, "Let's call her Jialuo! This child has a miserable life, being abandoned at birth. I hope that she will be blessed by God and live a peaceful and smooth life!"
"What's your last name?" Fu Jiuhuai asked.
"Of course I'll follow my master and my surname, Wen!"
Wen Heng glanced at Wen Zhi who interrupted him and said nothing.
After a while, he said, "Let her be called Jialuo first. If her family can be found, let her take their surname. If not, let her take Wen!"
"This child is destined to be with us! We won't be able to play the teacher's game anymore!"
After saying that, he sighed and left!
Wen Zhi touched the baby's nose and said with a smile: "Jialuo, Jialuo, little Jialuo, Lolo, little Lolo... I am Wen Zhi! From now on, you can call me brother... I brought you back!"
The baby listened to Wen Zhi's words, her little hands waved in the air, then she grabbed Wen Zhi's clothes tightly and giggled.
Three years later, Taohua Temple.
"Wen Jialuo!" A roar came from the backyard.
A chubby little boy poked his head out from the bushes, holding a fat blue cat in his arms. Looking at the roaring man, the little boy rubbed the cat's head and whispered, "Dahua, what should we do? Father Xi is going to spank you!"
"It's all your fault. How could you steal the herbs planted by Xi's father?" He said while tapping the cat's forehead with his chubby finger.
The chubby cat shook his head, mercilessly shook off her chubby hand, and then looked up at her. His eyes seemed to say, "You're scared now! How come you didn't know when you framed the cat?"
"Oh, so you are hiding here?" Wen Heng suddenly spoke, scaring both the man and the cat.
"Father Xi, I was wrong." The little dumpling lowered his head and pointed the index fingers of his two little hands together, looking like a man who knows how to correct his mistakes.
Wen Heng lost his temper instantly when he saw the little dumpling like this.
He held the little girl in his arms and brushed the dirt off her body.
"You little rascal, don't take those medicinal herbs randomly. It's not good for your tummy if you upset them!" Wen Heng patted the little girl's tummy and said with a smile.
The boy quickly covered his stomach and yelled, "Ouch, Father Xi, ouch, my stomach hurts so much!"
Wen Heng glanced at her, chuckled and said, "Pretend, pretend, you are pretending!"
"Hehehe, Father Xi, you are so smart. Even Lolo can't fool you!" said the little dumpling with a smile.
"Father Xi! When will Senior Brother come back from school? Luo Luo misses him so much."
Wen Heng snorted softly: "Are you thinking about your junior brother, or are you thinking about milk tea, small cakes, ice cream, candied haws and snacks?"
"Hehe, I want them all, I want them all!" Jialuo said in a low voice, tilting his head.
"Today is Friday. Your senior brother will be back in the afternoon. Let's go back and have dinner first!" Wen Heng said, picking up Jia Luo, and the two of them and the cat walked towards the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Wen Heng had already prepared the meal and placed it on the table.
"Uncle Xi, what delicious food did you make? It smells so good." Jia Luo looked at Wen Heng with sparkling eyes.
Wen Heng placed her on her special chair and said, "It's your favorite sweet and sour pork ribs and stir-fried seasonal vegetables."
As he spoke, he picked up a piece of pork ribs with chopsticks, blew on it, and then handed it to Jia Luo.
Jialuo took the ribs, opened his little mouth, and bit into it.
Her eyes immediately curved into crescents, her little face full of satisfaction.
"Xihu, it's so delicious, so delicious!" Jialuo said incoherently while eating.
Wen Heng looked at Jia Luo with eyes full of affection.
After lunch, Jialuo and Dahua played together in the yard.
Jialuo was holding a small wooden stick and drawing on the ground, her little face full of seriousness.
"Dahua, what do you think I drew?" Jia Luo grabbed Dahua and pointed at the pattern on the ground and asked.
Dahua: Meow meow meow~~~
"Hahaha, Dahua is so smart, this is you and me, I'm fishing for you!"
"Don't worry, Dahua, I will catch a lot of fish for you! That way you won't steal Xifu's herbs anymore."
When Dahua heard what Jialuo said, he instantly got angry: Meow meow meow, meow meow meow~ You are blaming the cat, it was obviously you who ate it!
Little Tuanzi smiled and took the cat into the room, touched his head and back and said with a smile: "Good big flower, eat fish, we are a good cat."
Dahua: Meow, meow, meow! Bad boy, little bad boy!
The afternoon sun shone in the yard, and Jialuo and Dahua's shadows were very long. Wen Heng looked at the man and the cat in the yard and couldn't help but smile.
In the evening, Wen Zhi came back from outside with a bag in his hand. When Jia Luo saw it, his eyes lit up.
"Junior brother, junior brother, you're back? Luo Luo missed you so much!" Jia Luo quickly ran towards the young man.
The boy picked her up the moment Jia Luo ran over.
He smiled and said, "Little Senior Brother misses us Luo Luo too! Let's go and see what Little Senior Brother brought back for you."
As he said that, he carried the little girl into the room.
"Junior brother, have you brought me some delicious food again?" Jia Luo said excitedly.
Wen Zhi smiled and nodded, then took out a string of candied haws from the package and handed it to Jia Luo: "This is for you, but you can only eat one string. Eating too much is bad for your teeth."
"There are also small cakes and some snacks. You can save them and eat them slowly. When you finish them, my brother will bring you more next week!"
Jia Luo smiled and nodded: "Little Senior Brother is the best!"
After saying that, he took the candied haws and started eating happily, his eyes narrowed into a line, his little face full of happiness.
As night fell, Taohua Temple returned to its tranquility.
Jia Luo had fallen asleep. Wen Zhi and Wen Heng sat in the yard, looking up at the starry sky.
Wen Heng looked at his little apprentice, and a complex emotion flashed in his eyes.
He knew that what he said next might change a lot of things, but he had to say it.
"Xiao Zhi, Master wants to tell you something!" Wen Heng's voice broke the silence of the night, and there was a hint of heaviness in his voice.
Wen Zhi turned his head and looked at his master calmly. There was no emotion in his eyes, as if he had expected something.
"What?" Wen Zhi's voice was calm, but his heartbeat quickened unconsciously.
"Master knows that this is difficult for you, but we have to do this!" Wen Heng took a deep breath, his eyes were firm, yet with a hint of reluctance.
