Chapter 83 Good times are yet to come

The editor was stunned, then looked delighted. "What?"

Shen Tingwan added, "I have a more accurate translation manuscript at home. I was in a hurry to leave yesterday and took the wrong one."

I originally wanted to go home and revise the manuscript carefully, but I didn't expect to encounter such a thing.

The editor-in-chief was not in a hurry and just asked her to have a good rest. After all, these were nothing compared to her health.

Shen Tingwan turned around and asked, "How many days will it take for me to be discharged from the hospital?"

Jiang Yan tucked the corner of the quilt for her and said, "Stay in the hospital for a few more days for observation."

Shen Tingwan laughed, "Didn't the doctor say it's no big deal? You can go home and observe after the swelling on the back of your neck goes down."

She knew Jiang Yan was concerned about her, so she said softly, "Let's wait and see how I recover today. Don't worry, I'm really fine."

Jiang Yan's cold expression softened because of these words.

Seeing the fatigue on his face, Shen Tingwan couldn't help but say, "Jiang Yan, you should go back and rest for a while. You really won't be able to hold on if you continue like this."

Who can go a whole day and a whole night without sleeping?

But Jiang Yan still shook his head, "I'll protect you."

Shen Tingwan insisted that he go back. The two of them were in a stalemate, but in the end they both took a step back.

Jiang Yan lay down beside her bed and took a nap.

Shen Tingwan sighed in his heart, looking at the man's cold and hard profile, and somewhere deep in his heart was already blocked and swollen.

She pursed her lips, a satisfied smile on her face.

Jiang Yan slept for less than four hours before he woke up.

Shen Tingwan looked at him with some distress, "Why don't you sleep a little longer?"

How could a short break eliminate the fatigue of the whole night? Unexpectedly, Jiang Yan said, "It's time for lunch. What do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you."

The words that Shen Tingwan wanted to say were stuck in his throat, unable to come out.

She looked at Jiang Yan steadily, then reached out and held his hand, her eyes red, "Fool."

Until now, I am still thinking about the problem of eating.

Jiang Yan saw the tears in her eyes and asked hurriedly, "What's wrong? Is your neck hurting? Do you want to call a doctor?"

Shen Tingwan pursed her lips, then raised a smile, "Jiang Yan, I'm not hurt."

Jiang Yan asked again, "Would you like some wontons?"

Shen Tingwan nodded, and only after watching Jiang Yan leave the door did she retract her gaze.

The old woman in the bed next to her said with a smile, "Girl, your man is so good to you. It seems like you two can be together forever at first sight."

Shen Tingwan smiled softly and said, "Yes, it is my luck to meet a good man like him."

The old woman smiled and said kindly, "Not to mention you're an officer in the army, girl, your best days are still ahead of you."

Shen Tingwan thought it was just a courtesy to him, so he responded politely.

Her neck was still a little sore, so she had no choice but to lie down on the hospital bed.

So she happened to miss the meaningful smile on the old woman's lips.

When Jiang Yan came back, he ran into the anxious Qian Shu. Later, he saw the two siblings following her with tears in their eyes.

The moment she saw Jiang Yan, Qian Shu felt like she had found her savior. "Captain Jiang, Captain Jiang! I finally found you!"

Ranran ran over crying, grabbing the corner of Jiang Yan's clothes with tears and snot.

She choked and said, "Dad! Dad! What happened to Mom? Ranran wants to go see Mom!"

Even Jiang Yuzhi, who always controlled his emotions perfectly, had tears in his eyes, which was rare.

Jiang Yuzhi's eyes were red. "Dad, please take us there."

Jiang Yan looked up at Qian Shu.

Qian Shu said awkwardly, "I was just downstairs with my two children, but I didn't expect that talkative Guo Rong to hear about Wanwan's situation from somewhere and come up to the two children and start talking nonsense."

When she said this, Qian Shu's tone was inexplicably filled with a hint of gritted teeth.

"I was just about to stop him, but Yuzhi already understood what I meant. Captain Jiang, the two kids are really worried about Wanwan, so take them in to see her."

Jiang Yan instantly understood the whole story and nodded.

"Excuse me, Comrade Qian."

Qian Shu waved her hand, and the group walked towards Shen Tingwan's ward in a mighty procession.

Hearing the sound of the ward door opening, Shen Tingwan subconsciously looked over there.

But before he could see clearly, he felt two small things like small cannonballs crawling into his arms.

Shen Tingwan was naturally familiar with it.

Ran Ran raised her head and saw that Shen Tingwan's face was not good. She said in a baby voice, "Mom, huhu, Tongtong flew away."

Shen Tingwan was stunned for a moment, then she realized that the little carrot head was comforting her. She rubbed Ranran's head and said, "Mom doesn't hurt anymore."

Jiang Yuzhi also came over at this time, his eyes also became red.

Shen Tingwan had never seen the two children like this before, and hugged them with some heartache.

She smiled gently, "Why are you crying? Mom is fine. Besides, when has Mom ever lied to you?"

Both children nodded with red eyes.

Shen Tingwan looked at Qian Shu, seemingly asking.

Although I knew that this matter could not be kept secret for long, I did not expect that the two children would find out so quickly.

Qian Shu just shook her head quietly, indicating that she should quickly calm the two children down.

Before Shen Tingwan could say anything, he saw two crying little kids being taken aside by Jiang Yan.

Ranran looked at her father with tears in her eyes, not yet understanding what this meant.

Jiang Yuzhi understood instantly, so he had to pull her and pull Ranran aside.

Jiang Yan opened the wonton in his hand, blew on it gently and then handed it to her.

Shen Tingwan turned his head a little embarrassedly and said to him, "Give it to me, I can do it myself."

How could he do this in front of the two children and Qian Shu?

Jiang Yan naturally understood what she was thinking, and he didn't get angry. He just handed her the spoon in his hand, while holding the bowl with his other hand.

Shen Tingwan ate in small bites.

Jiang Yan was very attentive to her feelings, fearing that she would get burned or spill something.

Qian Shu couldn't help but smack her lips when she saw the two people's disgusting interaction.

Her husband Sun was right. Captain Jiang was not a bad man except that he loved his wife.

After Shen Tingwan finished a bowl of wontons, her face became much rosier.

Qian Shu sat down with the two children, one on the left and one on the right, and asked about Shen Tingwan's condition.

Shen Tingwan simply summarized it, “No big problem, just a little swelling on the back of the neck.”

After seeing this, Qian Shu couldn't help but curse, "This damn bastard really wanted to kill him!"

Then, she whispered, "Wanwan, I heard that this little scoundrel finally destroyed the translated manuscript again?"
