"It's getting late, you should go to sleep. I'll stay and keep you company."
Hearing Gu Xijue's gentle words, Qiao Zhen's heart seemed to melt a little more. She nodded, obediently climbed into bed, and quickly fell asleep.
When Qiao Zhen woke up again the next day, she found that there was another person in the ward.
Qiao Zhen looked at Lu Zheng's face, which was so dark it looked like it could drip water, and couldn't help but chuckle to herself.
"Why are you here?" Qiao Zhen asked knowingly, feigning ignorance, which only made Lu Zheng angrier.
"Why can't I come?" Lu Zheng suppressed his anger and glanced at Gu Xijue, who was peeling an orange by himself, out of the corner of his eye. He reached out to take an orange as well.
"Sorry, I bought this bag of oranges."
Gu Xijue slightly tilted his hand to express his apology.
Upon hearing this, Lu Zheng clenched his fists slightly: "I'll pay a hundred times the price."
“Mr. Lu, this is not about the money. The problem is that I bought it myself. Not everything in the world can be measured by money, such as my sincerity.”
Gu Xijue said calmly, and as they talked, half of the orange had already been peeled.
Hearing these pointed words, Lu Zheng was even angrier inside, but on the surface he had no reason to get angry.
"You're good, Gu Xijue."
Seeing Lu Zheng's discomfiture, Qiao Zhen glanced at Gu Xijue with some curiosity.
It has to be said that Gu Xijue is indeed quite capable, able to make Lu Zheng suffer a setback.
"You guys take your time eating, I'm leaving now."
Lu Zheng left the ward quickly with a sullen face.
Qiao was completely puzzled. In his mind, Lu Zheng was always the most stubborn and unreasonable one.
