After the meeting, without being told, his assistant immediately booked the earliest flight.
It was already the second night after Lu Zheng returned to China. Instead of going home, he went straight to Qiao Zhen's building.
He stood at the entrance of the residential complex, looking at the lights on the buildings, a cigarette in his hand.
He hadn't smoked in a long time, but suddenly he wanted to take a puff after coming here.
Knowing that Qiao Zhen disliked the smell of smoke, he forced himself to endure it.
"Brother-in-law? What are you doing here?" Qiao Luosheng went downstairs to throw out the trash and was surprised to see Lu Zheng standing downstairs.
Shouldn't he be abroad right now? Why is he downstairs at his house?
Lu Zheng didn't expect to run into Qiao Luosheng downstairs, and he put away his cigarette.
"I came back after I finished taking care of things."
Qiao Luosheng nodded, agreeing. With the year-end approaching, they needed to get back as soon as possible to handle things.

"My sister has no feelings for Gu Xijue, and she didn't accept any gifts from him!"

Back home, Qiao Zhen was tidying up in the kitchen when she heard the door open, but she didn't pay attention and called Qiao Luosheng to bring in some fruit.
The door opened quickly, and she instructed, "Just put it here."
After she finished speaking, she realized that the person hadn't left yet, which she found a bit strange.
Qiao Luosheng has never liked going into the kitchen since he was a child. He usually just brings things in and leaves quickly. Why is he suddenly lingering in the kitchen today?
With a strange attitude, Qiao Zhen turned around.
Suddenly, I saw Lu Zheng standing at the door holding two oranges. The combination of the high and mighty president holding two oranges looked very strange.

Lu Zheng noticed that she had the same reaction as Qiao Luosheng, and placed the orange in his hand on the dressing table.
He pulled Qiao Zhen into his arms and buried his head in her shoulder, his nostrils filled with her scent.
In that instant, he felt the emptiness in his heart be filled. The anxiety and uncertainty he had felt all day were also cured.
Suddenly being hugged, Qiao Zhen stiffened for a moment, then, sensing Lu Zheng's change in emotion, her eyes softened, and she hugged Lu Zheng back.
After a long while, Lu Zheng finally let go of her.
"Go and rest for a bit, I'll take care of it." With that, he pushed Qiao Zhen out without further ado, and Qiao Zhen turned around to look at him.
"You've been on that long flight, let me do it." She took out the oranges to prepare them, but Lu Zheng took them back from her.
"No need, it'll be quick." After he finished speaking, he quickly kissed Qiao Zhen on the cheek.
Qiao Zhen was standing at the door. Remembering that Qiao Luo was still there, she nervously turned around to see if Qiao Luosheng had seen her.
Seeing her like this, Lu Zheng's eyes held a hint of a smile.
"He's already gone back to his room." Qiao Luosheng had already gone back to his room on his own when he came up.
After he finished speaking, he kissed Qiao Zhen's face a few more times. As he kissed her, his eyes darkened and he stared intently at Qiao Zhen.
His appearance made her feel like the prey, and Lu Zheng the hunter.
She swallowed nervously, her bright eyes fixed on him, filled with tension.
After a brief standoff, Qiao Zhen tried to move away. Lu Zheng, however, didn't give her the chance. He suddenly picked her up and carried her straight to her room.
"Lu Zheng!" Qiao Zhen cried out, but then lowered her voice when she remembered that Qiao Luosheng was still at home.
What are you doing?
"Of course..." As he spoke, Lu Zheng had already carried her back to the room. He put Qiao Zhen on the bed, and at the end of his sentence, he mouthed something to Qiao Zhen.
Upon hearing what he said, Qiao Zhen patted his shoulder, and the next second she was pulled between Lu Zheng's legs.
Qiao Zhen couldn't remember anything that happened after that.
That night, Qiao Luosheng sneaked out of his room and saw that the living room light was still on. He thought Qiao Zhen was still in the kitchen, but when he went over, he found that the kitchen was empty, but the light was still on.
He frowned, mentally grumbling about his sister not turning off the light. Just then, something occurred to him, and like a cat with its fur standing on end, he abruptly turned off the light and fled back to his room.
He was careless. He should have left the light on. Is it too late to go out and turn it off now?
In the end, Qiao Luosheng did not go back to turn on the lights, after all, wasting resources was shameful!
And so, Lu Zheng took this opportunity to openly and legitimately stay at their house.
Qiao Zhen thought back to the day she went to the supermarket with Gu Xijue and realized that Qiao Luosheng's words made some sense.
She then suggested going for a walk with Lu Zheng, and Lu Zheng was indeed delighted.
But when he was happy, Qiao Zhen was unhappy.
She had originally planned to go shopping for New Year's goods with him, but Lu Zheng seemed to be on a high, taking her shopping non-stop.
I didn't manage to buy any New Year's goods, but I did buy her quite a lot of things.
I bought several sets of clothes, as well as various accessories.
Lu Zheng was already carrying so much stuff he couldn't carry any more, but he showed no sign of stopping. Qiao Zhen was starting to suspect that he knew about Gu Xijue's affair and was deliberately buying so much stuff.
Then she realized that Lu Zheng wasn't abroad, so how could he possibly know?
"I can't take it anymore. If you keep buying like this, I won't come out with you next time," Qiao Zhen said, frowning as she looked at the pile of things in Lu Zheng's hands.
"That's fine too. Whatever you like, I'll have it delivered directly." Lu Zheng was still not satisfied.
He seemed to understand why girls loved shopping so much; buying things for someone you like is truly joyful.
Especially when you see those clothes on her, each one makes her look brand new and even more likable.
Qiao Zhen had no idea what he was thinking. If she had known, she would never have gone shopping with him again.
