Qiao Zhen clutched her stomach in pain and glared at the worker: "This is a society governed by law. You will be held accountable for hitting someone!"
"Responsible for what? You're not paying me and you still think you're right?"
The workers were not afraid at all and went up to punch Qiao Zhen twice more.
Qiao Zhen was no match for the combined strength of the group and was forced to retreat step by step, gritting his teeth as he looked at the people in front of him.
"I advise you not to take this too seriously, or you might end up in jail," Qiao Zhen said, unable to help but warn the workers who were acting recklessly.

Qiao Zhen shook her head reluctantly and grabbed his arm: "I... you didn't have to do this."
Gu Xijue smiled and said, "What are you talking about? This is help between friends. You helped me, so of course I have to treat you like this."
Qiao Zhen was filled with gratitude and was about to say something when a voice interrupted them.
"What, are you putting on a hero-saves-the-damsel-in-distress act?"
Upon hearing this, Qiao Zhen followed her gaze and saw a pair of shiny black leather shoes standing in front of her.
Qiao Zhen looked up and saw Lu Zheng's expressionless face, which looked rather cold.

Qiao Zhen flinched in shock, closing her eyes and daring not to open them.
