After giving the warning, Lu Zheng pulled Qiao Zhen aside and was about to leave.
"Wait!" Qiao Zhen struggled in his arms, but was pulled out by his strength: "How can you do this? What will happen to Gu Xijue's company?"
"His company's current state is entirely his own doing. You don't need to worry about others; you should focus on your own future."
Lu Zheng flicked Qiao Zhen's forehead and then pulled her into his car.
After getting into the car, Qiao Zhen silently observed Lu Zheng's attitude. He looked cold, just like always.
While Qiao Zhen was secretly observing Lu Zheng's attitude, he suddenly spoke up: "What, are you staring at me so intently?"

Qiao Zhen smiled as she walked toward Lu Zheng, but when she remembered what had happened yesterday, her smile became somewhat stiff.
Lu Zheng looked up and his gaze fell on her stomach: "How are you? Does it still hurt?"
Hearing this, Qiao Zhen was taken aback. She had only frowned slightly, yet Lu Zheng had remembered it.
"There's still a little bit, but it's nothing serious."
As Qiao Zhen spoke, she secretly observed his expression.

"Nothing happened yesterday, don't overthink it. Your aunt is fine anyway. If you keep getting caught up in doubts, you'll only hurt yourself."
Lu Zheng put down his chopsticks, picked up a tissue to wipe his mouth, and then stood up briskly and grabbed his coat.
"But……"
Qiao Zhen bit her lip. Given his attitude towards her, Qiao Zhen was unwilling to believe that nothing had happened yesterday.
"Qiao Zhen."
Lu Zheng's tone suddenly turned serious, and he reached out and touched his head: "No matter what, everyone has things they don't want to say, and there must be a reason for that. Asking will not get you anywhere."

Qiao Zhen watched his departing figure, sighed silently, forced herself to shake her head, and shook off all the distracting thoughts in her mind.
Upon arriving at the company, Lu Zheng immediately resumed his work and asked his secretary to report on the company's recent situation.
He frowned after learning that the company was still in a stable position, but had lost a few orders for unknown reasons.
"I understand, you may leave."
The secretary had just closed the door when a knock sounded at the door.
"Enter."
Tang Yue then jogged over and said, "Mr. Lu, I didn't disappoint you when you went to the hospital yesterday, did I?"
Hearing this, Lu Zheng frowned: "What are you trying to say?"
"I didn't mean anything by it... but logically speaking, shouldn't you keep your promise to me?"
After speaking, Tang Yue became somewhat nervous.
Given Gu Xijue's example, Tang Yue was filled with uncertainty. He didn't know if Lu Zheng would break his promise like Gu Xijue.
