"Continue reading the documents." Lu Zheng lowered his eyes and continued to handle other matters.
Qiao Zhen had no room to resist and could only suffer in silence, reading the words to him one by one.
“…Phase 3 of the project,” Qiao Zhen mechanically repeated the words on the paper. For some reason, Lu Zheng suddenly grabbed his wrist.
"?" Qiao Zhen suddenly stopped and turned her head to look at him with a hint of surprise.
"Come have dinner with me." Lu Zheng's eyes met hers.
For a fleeting moment, Qiao Zhen's heart skipped a beat.
But the next second, he suppressed that inappropriate emotion. He knew clearly that Lu Zheng's gentleness towards him was just a trap.
All she could do now was frantically seize every opportunity to escape from here, taking her mother and younger brother with her.

Qiao Zhen's soft gasp reached Lu Zheng's ears, and a smile appeared on Lu Zheng's lips, but he immediately suppressed it the next second, knowing that he could not let his emotions get the better of him.

Lu Zheng started the car and led Qiao Zhen to a restaurant without a signboard.
Since going bankrupt, Qiao Zhen has never been able to buy a restaurant like that again.
One reason is that the restaurant is too expensive for him to afford, and he wants to save money for his mother and younger brother.
Secondly, this restaurant holds many memories for him, and he is always moved by the sight of it whenever he passes by.
But the last time we passed by, Qiao Zhen seemed to casually mention that this restaurant was delicious.
